Plotline Thus Far
* Cirosan is hellbent on finding and destroying something or someone behind the mysterious door in the loft.
* The object or person has something to do with The Teraten Project, a project which ironically (or not...) shares the name of Cirosan's fairy. Cirosan claimed the project to be Gaia's version of armageddon.
* Rezz, for unknown reasons, has guarded the object or person.
* The door in the loft does not have any handle, hinges, or any concieveable way of opening it. Draggy once breathed fire on it, only for the door to be unphazed, not even warming.
* Rezz stated that Cirosan, for whatever reason, did not need to intervene, nor was he prepared for such a feat.
* Cirosan posed as a bar patron to gather information before striking.
* The door, from the looks of it, leads to another dimension. It could very well be an illusion, however.
* Despite being alone when Cirosan attempted to break in, Rezz knew, and summoned a monster to blend into the door and guard it.
* Teraten escaped captivity in time to deliver a message that Cirosan and Rezz were searching for a "Doctor Zalmazh" to see if he would accompany them into the door. It is unclear why they wanted to recruit him.
* Teraten is currently being taking care of by Merina, the bartender. Cirosan knows about it but doesn't attempt to get him back.
* Upon returning, Cirosan seemed to express genuine remorse for all that he had done thus far. He may be honest, or acting.
* Cirosan posted a memo, found
here, which details suspicion of the project...
* Iosef successfully tracked down Zalmazh and learned many things about the project:
* The project was created at the utmost secrecy in 2004, after the G-Virus Outbreak, in order to better humanity in an unknown way.
* The project revolved around some sort of thing that Zalmazh decribed as "robotic, machine, yet human... too advanced for a robot..." It is unclear what exactly the "thing" was.
* Eventually the project lost its morals, and believed that the ends justified the means, for whatever they were doing.
* Zalmazh was one of an undisclosed number of lead scientists that managed the project.
* There were 100 scientists working on the project.
* Zalmazh mentioned that some sort of incident happened, that killed all but 4 of the scientists that were working on the project, and he was one of them.
* Zalmazh claimed to not know anything about the door in Beersprings, Rezz, who Teraten (the fairy) was, or Beersprings itself. He may be lying.
* Zalmazh said that Cirosan was "too smart for his own good" and was surprized he was still alive.
* Before leaving, Zalmazh gave Iosef a memo, that can be found
here. It seems to continue the story the first one told, and suggests the project bribed officials to continue research.
* Cirosan was able to trust everyone after they found Zalmazh, proving to him that everyone was willing to help. He promised to disclose all he knew in a password protected card room to keep out evesdroppers, hiding the password to the room somewhere in this thread. The password has not yet been found.
* Rezz now felt that everyone was ready, and volenteered to open the door, allowing them to enter. We still do not know what exactly he feels are requirements for being ready to journey into the door.
* Rezz identified the monster in the door as being a "door guardian" and that his door was made of "invincible Mirrodian Darksteel" but that some components were less fortified. It is unknown what he meant.
* Zalmazh personally stopped by Beersprings to examine the door. Upon seeing it, he became terrified. He then took some sort of tool out of his poket and rubbed it across the door (unknowingly almost awakening the door guardian), then took photos of it, and ran. It is unknown why he is so scared or what the tools were for.
* Rezz felt that the group was ready now, and opened the door, granting them access to what was inside.
* Inside the room was the Planar Portal Gate, or PPG, or Walkergate. The room is a classic design with metal walkways, a huge master computer, and a machine of mysterious purposes...
* Rezz stated that he could provide any provisions, weapons, or armor for the journey ahead. Any preperations that need to be made a psychological, stating it was a difficult place. How Rezz can provide materials so easily is unknown.
* Teraten volenteered to help, and even after Cirosan insisted he didn't deserve help, Teraten decided to help anyway. It appears Teraten has forgiven Cirosan, but Cirosan has not forgiven himself.
* Cirosan, with the help of the computer, recieved a print out of a lot of information related to The Teraten Project. He dropped one page in haste, which can be found
here, that suggests the projects punished its workers mistakes with death. Further, it also revealed that "Teraten" is an acronym, with the first two letters standing for "Technological Experimentations" with the remaining letters cut off on another page.
* Cirosan, again, expressed his rage at Rezz for guarding the object or person. After a show of power, Rezz condecended Cirosan for his inexperience in such matters, saying he would understand one day, and then they would speak as peers.
* Cirosan agreed to stop argueing with Rezz, but expressed his hope that Rezz would do the right thing in the end. Rezz responded by saying he had already done the wrong thing by letting everyone get involved. What he meant is unknown.
* Cirosan and Zalmazh reconciled after an unnamed alienation years ago that tore apart their friendship. Zalmazh apologized for what he did in the past, and wanted to work together to right what he had done.
* Cirosan posted another page of the printouts, found
here, that contined where the first one left off. It revealed that "Teraten" stood for "Technological Experimentations Regarding Androids and Transcendental Engineered Nanotechnology." It also says that although they recieve a huge payment for working and keeping everything a secret, it can be taken away in the blink of an eye if they violate protocol. It also hints of other penalties. Further, the project has three main goals: To collect a list of all good people, all bad people, and to design a machine with T.E.N. Technology for an unknown purpose.
----Begin Gaia 2 Story Arc---
* The portal, after being entered, causes nausea.
* After entering, a man Rezz called Gishark greeted them.
* Draggy has still not recovered from the trip, while everyone else has.
* Zalmazh, while everyone was in the portal, brought the briefcase Cirosan originally had and had to make a choice between trapping his friends for the greater good or not. Ultimately, he exited, choosing his friends.
* Rezz said the following about the portal and the world within it: "Welcome to Gaia. To be precise, Gaia: Reality 2. The Walkergate creates portals between realities within universes, universes within multiverses, and multiverses within the omniverse. This world just like Gaia, only one little thing went differently in its history. The gate navigates through the Aether, to here. The Aether is akin to a planar primordial soup. It is a mathematically complex region between multiverses, that is converted into planar material by an ascendant being or a human from the real world. If you find yourself floating in the Aether without a planeswalker or a conduit or one of these gates, you'l float there puking into nothing, wondering who you are. You may even become truly insane. It's like hell... As for why I can stand the gate, I cross planes on my own power every few minutes. I've used my powers to manipulate the Aether into a new reality on a few occasions. I'm kinda used to it, like a second home."
* Gishark revealed that the main difference between the reality we hail from and the one he comes from is that someone in the distant past died before they could advance his reality's technology, and other than their version of Beersprings, are trapped in the stone age.
* Gishark and his tribe are having problems with a creature called the Wumpus. They hunt Wumpuses for food mainly, as one can feed many people for a month, but this particular Wumpus is much tougher. Larger, faster, and smarter, with a tough hide that can shield him from attacks, the tribe has lost many hunters to him. The Wumpus has been dubbed "Escort to Paradise" (Paradise for short) because of this. Rezz volenteered the group to take care of the problem for them.
* Draggy, Cirosan's 18 day old dragon, is having health problems after crossing through the gate. He was nauseous, unable to move, and had a fever.
* Zalmazh, upon arriving, said that Draggy's fever could cause brain damage. With the help of Merina, he prepared an ice bath and was able to cool Draggy off, removing the fever. Gishark was not surprised and Draggy's reaction, and used medicine to relieve his stomach ache.
* Zalmazh said that after the ice bath and medicine, Draggy would be fine after some rest, but would be unable to hunt Paradise with them. Cirosan wanted to stay behind with Draggy, but ultimately decided to go if he could safe more people by defeating Paradise.
* Cirosan said that Draggy was of the Gwee species, which grow to a human-like stature upon adulthood and have above-average intellegence. They can speak, but like children, they take a few years to learn how to do so.
*Rezz introduced the group to R, who armed the group for their encounter with Paradise. This was funded by the Army of Calamari.
*Cirosan attempted to get Gishark to help him in destroying the T.E.N. technology he believed existed on the base. Gishark refused, and also denied that the technology was there in the first place.
*Cirosan then attempted to get the group to turn on Rezz. During the debate, Rezz revealed that he was holding onto "the Artifact" until someone worthy of wielding its power came along, and that the technology created by the Teraten Project could be used for another purpose than just mass destruction. What he meant by all this was still unknown.
*Paradise appeared to have magically enhanced muscles, who enchanted him is unknown.
*Paradise ended up killing a young girl's father before being taken down by the group. It was revealed that he had been abusing his daughter, Rina Jr.
*Rina Jr. went to live with Gaia 2's Gambinos, where she was destined to marry Peyo and birth a line of geniuses that would modernize Gaia 2. This would have only been possible if things had happened the they had.
----End Gaia 2 Story Arc----
*The group returned through the Walkergate.
----Begin Cryptex Story Arc----
*Zalmazh left his
cryptex with the group.
*Iosef solved the cryptex, which contained a memo,
here and
here. This memo revealed that the Artifact, known as the Flame, was not beyond the door, part of it.
*The group resolved to destroy The Flame.
*Rezz revealed that attempting to destroy the Flame now would release it, and that the safeguards had to be released in order to access the flames.
*Rezz stated that they had to wait until time was right for the second safeguard to be broken. What the first safeguard was has yet to be told.
