I think I know the reason people hate Pokemon. The Pokemon phenomenon that swept the WHOLE world in 1998-1999 (maybe even 2000!) was catching EVERYONE. And anyone was doing anything to get the merchandise. Waking up every morning was 7:30 AM, buying the cards, buying the games, downloading the games on the PC (like me sweatdrop ). HECK, it was EVEN so popular, people starting making FAKE cards. This just proves how popular it was & everyone just wanted it most indefinately they were even TRICKED to buy fakes!

But I wonder how long the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom will last. Pokemon was the rage for 3 years before the died out & ex-fans even started dissing it... saying they liked it at first & then hating it to jump onto the bandwagon (what everyone is doing/thinking). People will soon be hating Yu-Gi-Oh (not there aren't people doing that already... stare ) & the fandom will be killed...

Same will happen to Final Fantasy & Inuyasha... it'll die when new things come out... that's probably why there's YGO GX to make sure YGO keeps on living... in a totally different way... But why do ex-fans diss a show & game that they once LOVED when it swept the whole WORLD head over heels with its... GREATNESS. When my neighbours couldn't buy it... they downloaded it onto computer. See? SHEER desperatism... Anyone who was ANYBODY jumped onto the Pokemon Fan Rage Bandwagon... but now... off the PFR Bandwagon, onto the Pokemon Hating Bandwagon... what hypocrites.. stare
