Hi. I need to close this shop for awhile, I know that I wont be getting to any of the commissions any time soon, and I'm sorry for that. If you commissioned from me and I haven't drawn you, I will be cancelling your trade right now. However, if and as soon as I open back up, everyone who's on the list now, I will message first to see if you still want to get a picture, and I will discount it for you. Don't worry, nothing dramatic is happening, I just haven't been in the mood to do this for awhile.

Rules

1. Please be nice... we wouldn't want to wake up anything gruesome with our negativity.
2. Please be patient... the Dark Little Sketches won't take very long, as long as it's not too busy. Whenever I'm online, I'll check to make sure I'm current on projects...
3. Please inquire about art trades or payment with items. I am always so delighted to do such a thing.
4. Be careful where you step.
5. When making an art request, go ahead and send me a trade! Any bigger or particular orders though, lets start with a dialogue to make sure we are on the same page.
6. My work is fairly inconsistent. I apologize in advance.
7. If what you're looking for is very, very exact and complicated in terms of the pose, please remember that the less fun I'm having drawing it, the more awkward its going to be. I like to try interesting poses, but that doesn't mean that I'm great at them.

Order Form

Ordering works like this:

STEP ONE: You POST the Form
STEP TWO: You SEND the Trade
STEP THREE: I Add you to the List and Accept the trade once
STEP FOUR: I finish your art and Finalize the trade.
STEP FIVE: I PM you your art.

If you don't send a trade, I won't start your art unless we agreed upon another arrangement.


If you wish to order any of my art, please use the following order form. For now, I am accepting both P.M.’s and orders within the thread, though I prefer it if you post it in the thread. If there's a sample that you like and want your picture to be similar to, please make a note of it. Thank you.


Also, the "three item" notation is for each person you want in the picture. It's simply intended for either A. Complex Avatars or B. Original Characters that I might miss something integral on. I tend to leave off certain things, say shadow spirits for example. This way, if you mention that you want it in this list, I'll make sure to get it, and maybe even try to bring some attention to it. The reason it's only 3 items is that I'm not going to promise to get fifteen items in. Please realize that your clothing don't really count in this list, nor do you have to fill it out if you won't get mad if I leave something out. If you want to add more items to the list, go ahead. But list the most important three first.

Yeah, I know I should always be working on these commissions that give me the GOLDS but! Sometimes I just wanna scribble some stuff out. If you just wanna pay with a tip, and dont care what your picture ends up like, just say hello on this thread, and I'm likely to choose you to make a quick sketch out of whatever my daily theme is.

This is usually only up on weeknights. And you can ONLY make a request when I'm on and have a topic open. I also don't take any special requests in this thread, you get what the theme is! smile

ALSO! All of the art that has been gifted to me or that i've purchased will be posted here.

Sometimes when I speak or write my thoughts or feelings, or voice parts of myself in words, I feel uncertain, nervous, as if I'm going to be judged. When I draw, no matter what the subject is, no matter if its something I've worked on a long time, or just a doodle thats wildly rough and mindlessly drawn -- I've expressed myself in some way. Each color I use is a color I've chosen. Each line is a line that I made the decision to put down. They're rarely straight and even, and many times its not as deep as I want it to be, but it's me, even if it's you I'm drawing.

I am miserable; I am jubilant. I am soft; I am hard. I am bold; I am pastel. I am dark and mysterious, beautiful and ugly, strange and wonderful and silly. I am playful and mischievous, innocent and devious. I am even both dominant and submissive. Perhaps that's what my Mother means when she points out that I am Passive Aggressive.

Every picture I make is beautiful to me, even when I can see that there's a hundred ways to improve it technically. I can feel my emotion in every one of my drawings, and my goal is to one day be able to convey these emotions, thoughts and ideas so fluidly in my art that I'm not the only one who can see them.

I could choose to draw anywhere. And I pretty much draw everywhere. At work, on my breaks, on those paper placemats they give you at chinese restaurants. Online, however, I have chosen to draw here on Gaia. I like the website. Whether I draw for free or for gold, I'm really just drawing for me.

My dream is to continue on to art school. Not because I think that I -need- it, but because I love to learn, I love to improve. I want to be the best that I can be, no matter where my art takes me. I'd like to write a children's book. Hundreds of them, really. I'd like to draw books for adults too. It's not just children who benefit from pictures that tell a story.


And that's all I wanted to say. If you don't read it, my feelings won't be hurt. I think I really just wanted to say it for me, not for anyone else. So now it's out there.
