This is the petition for Cannabis culture related items on Gaia!
"That sounds impossible." I hear you groan.
Who is anyone to say that anything is impossible?

Before you come in here judging this petition wrongly, please do some research on the wonderful plant that is Cannabis. And I mean some serious research. Not just government propaganda.

Myself and many others believe that it would be an awesome idea to have Cannabis culture related items on Gaia. This doesn't mean planting marijuana leaves all over our avatars clothing; however, if that's cool with Gaia, that's cool with us! Clothing items, Accessories, Housing Items, etc. are what we are looking for. These specific item ideas will be mentioned later on in this thread.

Item Ideas

Here are the many items suggestions that the helpful members of "Stoner's Corner Guild" came up with!

(Note: We are currently looking for Avatar Edits of the items we are suggesting. If you can do some decent edits, please let us know! We will pay a suitable fee, nothing extravagant though.)

The Hookah - used for smoking the indian shisha. It could go with a whole "eastern asia" theme with clothing items. This one item could be a great branch off for many other items! Or it could be used for smoking an "Ancient Gaian Herb" ... Yes, that sounds good! It could also double as a housing item.

Tye Dye Shirts - I think this is a very practical and feasable idea. Just simple white tee's that are tye dyed in multiple color schemes. Could go with a whole tye dye themed set. Tye dye khakis, Tye dye bandanas, etc. We could also use all those INKS that we get in the daily chance to perhaps make CUSTOM shirts. Simple white t-shirt for the avvy, with the possibility to tye dye the shirt with 3 different colors of INKS!

Rasta Themed Clothing - Clothing in the colors of Rasta! Red, Green and Yellow !! Perhaps a whole Rasta themed set! This could be: Rasta Hat with Dreads, Rasta coloured t-shirts/tank tops/pants/jackets, or a shirt with Bob Marley's face on it.

Hemp Accessories - Hemp necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and bags! They could be a light brown or green color, and look a bit scritchy kind of like the Cat Scratch Hat material.

Housing Items - Bob Marley posters for walls, Trippy kaleidoscopic art posters for walls, Beaded curtains, Door Hangings or Wall Hangings. Trippy/Kaleidoscopic Wall and Floor Tiles. Possibly Hookah's to place in your house.

1. But like, isn't cannabis (aka marijuana) bad for you?! Omg!

Anything you ingest is potentially bad for you. Anything you SMOKE is potentially bad for you. Even the cigarette on Gaia is currently infesting your lungs with Gaian second hand smoke! Well, not really, but a girl can dream, right?

Cannabis has been proven through many medical studies to have life enhancing aspects and can aid in certain illnesses. THC, the main component in Cannabis is non-carcinogenic and demonstrates anti-cancer properties.

Also, cannabis stimulates other biological activities and responses that may lessen the carcinogenic effects of smoking tobacco.

I urge you to research by searching google, or norml.org. Type in "Cannabis Research" or even just "Cannabis". You will find the majority of the information very interesting and it will provide you with a base to find all the answers to the questions which you may have about Cannabis, and the culture surrounding it.

We want more tho! We wan't Bob Marley and how about "stitched" clothing? Most of the clothing on gaia is smooth cotton, some jeans and silk.
