Thanial has settled in somewhat to his new home. He seems a bit suspicious of, well, everything... though not horrifically so. Just to the point where he stares at everything new until he figures out exactly what it is, what it's for, and that it's not going to hurt him. Which doesn't take long, but it's still funny to watch him...
I set out to teach him how to swim, too. I figured it was a good idea, being that the cove is right outside our homes... I didn't want him to accidently drown. He learned fairly quickly, after glaring at the water a while.
Agenda for the day:
Thanial - Learned how to swim.
Jadaria sighed softly, staring at the obstinant naga who was waiting at the edge of the water of the cove, the soft waves lapping at her waist. She shook her head a bit, holding her arms out to him.
"Please, Thanial? I promise the water won't hurt you. I promise!" she called, smiling encouragingly. "It'll be good for you!"
"Mrrrrrr...." The monster growled slightly, then leaned down and sniffed at the water. He glanced up at his master, then back at the blue liquid below. "Grrrgghh...."
"Just a little?"
"Grrr..."
"Pleeeeaaaasssseee...?"
The Time Noise slithered a bit closer, allowing the water to touch him. His tail flicked a bit, then again... then slowly began to slither into the water. He continued, slowly and suspiciously, till he was by Jadaria. At that point, however, he was up to his neck in water. He looked up at her, growling uncertainly.
"See? It's not so bad... Just make sure to move your arms, and swish your tail..." She pushed back, swimming back into deeper water. The naga followed... gradually. He bobbed under a few times though, and came up sputtering each time, angrier each time.
