Snowy peaks wreathed in clouds tower above you. the climb is cold, wet, and slippery, with a long drop to certain doom if you should happen to fall. Caves dot the mountainside, providing secure shelters in case of a sudden storm.

The Lady walks up to the foot of the mountains, a large knapsack strapped firmly to her back. "Are we ready for this, Noir?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah - let's GO, already!" Noir was impatient.

After her nap earlier that day, Saedusk decided to take a walk out of Snow Flower Valley. She climbed up the steep walls of snow surrounding the valley. Her new disk stone resting safely in her pack, and the small potted snow flower in a pouch on the side of her pack, originally for holding a water bottle.

As she finally made it up and out of the valley she sat to take a break. She pulled out her stone and looked at it, tracing the carvings along it's surface.

Saedusk sighs, stuffing the stone back into her pack, she stands. Walking a little higher up the mountain she sits again, pulling out her disk stone and running her fingures along the carvings. This time she pulls out the snow flower also. She watched the soft petals blow in the wind.

Stuffing the disk stone, once again, back into her pack she stood again. Placing the flower in it's holder she continued on. The winds began to grow stronger, to the point she had to shield her face.

"I should head back soon..."

She whispered to herself.

She kept thinking she should turn back, but someting made her keep going. It was lucky she lived in the mountains, it made climbing them much easier.

After a few more minutes of climbing she stopped, pulling a water bottle out of her pack and taking a long drink of the slighty frozen water. She had heated it before leaving her house so that it would stay liquid longer. As she returned the bottle to her pack she saw something in the distance. Squinting she saw, what she thought, were two figures.

Saedusk ran after the figures. She saw them begin to climb up one of the steep cliffs. She knew better than to call for them, that might cause an avalanche.
