<center>Introduction</center>

The Giving Branch is a type of charity not seen very often. Most charities help out questors, newbies, and those who ask by giving them gold and sending them on their merry way. We cater specially to questors, and help them along by taking up their quest and going with them every step of the way. We collect donations, help to sell items that we or they have to sell, et cetera.

This charity was started because of a dilemma that The Giving Tree faced. They were busy helping someone quest for an Angelic Sash, which, even with all of their efforts, took a very long time. There were still quests on the waiting list that needed to be done. And so I created the Branch and took the list upon myself.

Now that we have a wonderful staff and some very dedicated close friends, the Tree and Branch are working on quests separately to get things done efficiently.

I, personally, think I have what they call a "helpers' high"; it makes me feel good when I help out other people. I don't get the same kind of happiness from acquiring something for myself, even on Gaia. I don't really fuss with my avatar anymore, and I tire of the greed that is very much alive in the Exchange. There are lots of hard-working people out there who have dream avatars and goals that they wish to reach -- it does my heart good to help them in any way I can.

Yes, that is corny. But yes, it is true.

As much as I wish I could donate to every newbie and questor in need whom I come across, I can't. I'm not wealthy, and neither is this charity. We pour all of our gold together just to make ends meet, and we rely almost entirely on the donations of others. So believe me when I say that we need and greatly appreciate every bump, donation, and piece of praise that you might care to leave us.

If you would like to send us a donation, no matter the size, please send it to our mule, Dude of the Roots. Better yet, why don't you buy something from our store? It's like you're donating and receiving an item in return.

. . . Fill out the form properly when it is available.
. . . Have a presentable quest thread if your item costs over 20k.
. . . Read the FAQ for more information if you have a multi-item quest.
. . . Have at least half of the cost if the item is worth under 70k. If it is over, we will work something out with you.
. . . Respond within 5 days to the PM sent to you when we are ready to help you or you will be skipped. If you reply later, you will be moved to the bottom of the list.
. . . Be patient and polite. We have lives, and our waiting list takes time to clear.
. . . Be active within your own quest thread and the charity that is helping you.

Thou shalt not . . .
. . . Simply ask to be put on the waiting list. Break this rule, and Versi breaks out the flamethrower.
. . . Say "I'm questing for [insert item here], please help me!" I know that if you drop by charities and do this, they may donate to you, but we don't work that way. So break this rule, and Versi breaks out the flamethrower.
. . . Fill out the "Current Quest" post as your request form and expect us to help you or even acknowledge you in a favorable way. Break this rule, and Versi breaks out the flamethrower.

What's this charity all about?
Good question! One that's answered in the introduction, but a good one nonetheless. The Branch helps questors in a special way by questing with them, not just giving them some gold. There are rules and such for our services, though, so you better read the rules and the FAQ carefully.

Can I be on the waiting list?

Well then, how can I apply to your charity?
Another good question. You see, we have a waiting list with 10 spots that we clear off. We don't accept requests when the list still has stuff on it. When the last quest is done, we will post up request forms for you to fill out. We know it takes a long time this way, and maybe you might not like it, but that's the way things are. ^_^;

So, my item costs over 125k. Can you still help me?
Sure! The only thing is that if your item is 125k or over, you will be receiving a fraction of the cost as help instead of full quest coverage. Because we have so many quests to cover, we cannot possibly devote hundreds of thousands of gold to one single quest. It's insane. We'll talk with you and determine the percentage that we'll raise.

I'm on a quest for multiple items all at once. Are you going to help me get all of them?
Believe me, I would if I could. sweatdrop But I can't. Here's the deal: if you have a multi-item quest, we'll help you with the most expensive item if it costs under 70k. If it doesn't, we'll just help you get whichever one is closest in value to 70k. Also, you cannot go off on working on other items in your quest while we're helping you -- we understand that you may want a lot of items and have just jammed all these wishes into one quest thread, but we still expect a certain amount of dedication from you.

What do I do if I want to be your affiliate?
PM me with a link to and short description of your charity or quest. I prefer charities, but if your quest is REALLY good, then I'll put up the link or banner. I don't just want any ol' links, either -- your charity / quest should be well-organized and whatnot.
