They came from Dream. No one remembers how, or where they lived before, or why they came to the Realm of Earth. In was ancient times, time of the Greeks, when the fey first came. There were only a few to begin with, and with them came the Silverbloods, and The Great Dragons.

They settled on an island they named Alaenthieu, but the Greeks would call the great city by another name. The fey flourished there, and the city became legendary. Magic was high in the Earth Realm, and the Fey were powerful and strong. Magic levels directly effect the fey in all aspects of their lives, especially birth rates. Because the magic in Earth was so high, they bred quickly, and would eventually leave the island to settle elsewhere.

But the humans did not welcome the fey. They called them baby-robbers, devils. Many where killed on sight. Those that lived where treated barely above animals. Afraid of having their great city discovered and taken over by the human, the wizards hid the city, taking the whole island under the sea.

Yet the population was still rising, and fey continued to have to leave Alaenthieu and venture into the countries of Earth. Most fey that lived outside of Alaenthieu cast a guise on themselves. Guises allowed the humans to see what they wanted to see. A mere human, instead of a Eldhe. A horse, instead of a unicorn. Some people could see beyond the simple spell, but only a few. And the fey lived peacefully, hidden, amoung the humans for centuries.

But then, the coming of the Age of Enlightenment, shifted the balance of the magic in the world. Belief in magic and the magic levels are directly related. It is unknown if a fall in belief causes magic to decline, or if the decline in magic causes belief to drop. What is known, however, is that the magic levels in Earth began to fall, and they fell quickly. Alaenthieu emerged from the ocean, and the guises began to slip. Unicorns and dragons were hunted to near extinction in a few decades. Something had to be done.

All the wizened wizards gathered in the great city to discuss what could be done. The birth rates of the fey had declines to almost zero, and thus the fey began to dwindle in numbered.

The final straw was when Iron began to become commonplace. Iron: a substance so lethal to fey that not only does it kill them - it rends their souls into undoing. At this time, the four Great Dragons - War, Wisdom, Wealth, and Wonder, put themselves into a deep slumber. The hid themselves within the earth, mountains, or oceans, promising to wake again only when magic had returned to Earth.

The hibernation of the Great Dragons was signal to the End of the Age for the fey. They had to leave soon, or be lost forever. All the fey and silverbloods worldwide were called back to Atlaenthieu. A few stayed behind, but most of the remaining fey gathered there. The wizard had divined a spell - unlike one ever done before. It took hundreds of fey sorcerers to pull it off, but they did. Within a day and night of spellcasting, all of Altaenthieu was pulled into Dream.

All the wizards were dead by the time the spell was complete. But their job had been done. In the cold, dark, chaotic depth of Dream, a new land was born. From The Great city, the land spread around them like a welcoming carpet. Mountains grew, oceans spread. There was a new world for them here.

The called their world Alaenthieu, after the Great City.

Shop Conduct
1.) DO NOT PM any staff unless you can find no other way to answer your question. You must read the entire front page before asking a question, then you may post your question IN THE THREAD if it is not answered.

2.) No begging for free fey. YES, I occasionally will give them out as gifts or presents, but this is my right as the store owner.

3.) Art theft will NOT be tolerated in any way, shape, or form. Many artists are putting some very hard work into this shop. Anyone caught stealing art will be blacklisted from this shop, reported to a mod, and reported to the website used to host the stolen image. I am dead serious.

4.) Everyone be civil. Owners and non-owners are welcome here, and the atmosphere should reflect that. No arguments, please, take it to PMs. Please do not come in here if all you are going to do is constantly beg or whine about how unfair an auction or flatsale was.

5.) Roleplay is NOT REQUIRED unless you have an SPC, which you will know if you do. However, it would be appreciated if you don't just take your fey and run and we never hear from you again.

6.) You may own as many fey as you want. You can only own 2 SPC fey.

7.) Payment for any exchange (flatsale, raffle tickets, auctions) are due IMMEDIATELY after winning. If you can't pay, don't buy.

The following definitions will help make you understanding of this shop easier in auctions and flatsales.

2.) SPCs must post in their journals at least once a month

3.) You may RP with your non-SPC fey as much as you wish, and you
may create a journal for them in the guild.
