Riftwing walks back to the clearing with Agamemnon, his water Stymphalian. He looks about for others. Rumour has it that more Stymphalians were soon to come. Both he and his companion couldn't wait. A soft breeze fluffed his spiky hair, and Rift smiled. Non leaped into the wind, and began to fly in lazy circles, looking, waiting.
Tamiko walked about aimlessly with her fire Stymphalian at her heels. He seemed to be a bit of a trouble maker and didn't like to be cooped up in a box all day, so she decided to take him somewhere where he could run around and just play with others of his kind.. if there were any others around at this time. She hadn't seen very many around with the same kind of unique cats and so she began to wonder if anyone were ever around. "Hello?" she called, hoping someone in this clearing would appear and hopefully give her and her kitty some company.

Khilar, on the other hand, didn't even think about company. All that was on his mind was chasing around squirrels and pouncing on unsuspecting birds. As he went about his 'game' scaring little critters and such, he once landed on a bird. He thought he would definitely miss it but was surprised. Yet he was still but a small kit and so the bird escaped easily, as it was fairly large for its species. He hissed playfully at it then romped around some more.

Non tropped up to Khilar, chirping a greeting. He circled the kit, looking at his markings with some interest. His paws padded soundlessly through the grass, and his wings perked up in excitement.

"Nuuu!" Khomi cried. "Please come baaack!"

The little girl and her new Stymphalian were taking a long-needed walk. They'd been at home most of the day, and Aephi was becoming restless. On this quaint path that lead towards a well-known clearing, she and her cat were just drifting along with the breeze. Until, of course, Aephi's wandering eyes caught forth on a peculiar creature. The Stymphalian wondered what it was. It darted to and fro, faster than many things she'd seen before. It was a medium-sized bird, its feathers looking a bit ruffled.

So at this point, Aephi could be seen running through a bush and smack right into a clearing, chasing this interesting creature that perked her senses so.
Khilar stopped in mid-step as the water Stymphalian approached him. Who was this cat? His wings fluttered and his whiskers twitched in curiousity as he looked up at the blue cat. Was he a water Stymphalian? He had heard Tamiko talking a little about them and how he was a fire one. Did his kind really have elements like his human bond said? Not really caring at the moment as he was preoccupied with Non, he canted his head to the side and chirped right back, trying to mimic the sounds of the older feline.

Aephi lept and pounced upon the "bird." But, unfortunantly, its size gave it the upper hand, and it struggled away quite quickly. She spat in dissapointment, or at least, as much as a little kitten can spat.

She sat squat on that spot, until she noticed a pair of other Stymphalian near the center of the clearing. This once again perked her curiosity. A big cat, next to a little one that seemed quite familiar, were chirping with each other. Tilting her head, she took a step closer.

Non purred and nuzzled the kit. He looked at the little one, remembering how he was helped by others, too. Hello, little one, he said. I'm Agamemnon. Welcome, I am proud to meet another of my race. He sat on his haunches, winding his tail about his forepaws. The silver cuff on his tail glinted in the sunlight. What is your name? he asked.

Rift got up from is nap in the tall gras and was shocked to see others there. He stood up, rubbing his eyes in disbeilef. "Hoy, there!" he called in greeting.
Khilar was almost totally preoccupied, so it was a bit surprising when his attention was distracted by another Stymphalian nearby. She looked sort of familliar so he called her over with a shrill mew. Maybe the three of the cats, one water and two fire, could get along and go pouncing after some 'flitter-critters' as he liked to call birds. He seemed to have no sense as of now, but hopefully age would mature him enough to think things through.

Turning his attention back to Agamemnon, as the cat had said his name was, Khilar purred proudly with his chest puffed out. "I'm Khilar." He might have looked funny, the little furball acting tough and proud, but he didn't much care.

Tamiko, on the other hand, didn't have as much energy as the little kit she had just adopted. He seemed to be everywhere at once and still have enough power to run a marathon. She sighed in resentment but that quickly faded with the sound of a new voice. She turned her head to see someone calling out in greeting. Feeling like it would be nice to have some company, she waved in response to his greeting.

Hearing the call, Aephi catiously took another step towards the other Stymphalians, and another, and another, getting faster as she went. She thought they were quite peculiar, one so much bigger than the other.

"Oh yes!" she thought. The name 'Khilar' came to mind. "He's the tiny one," she thought.

Meanwhile, Khomi, gathering herself up after tripping over rocks and snags numerous times, tumbled into the clearing, her hair a-mess, and her eyes rolling about. "Phwaaa..." she mumbled. "Owwwie.." She collected herself up, and then scanned the open area for her Stymphalian. "Oh!" she murmered, seeing Aephi venture closer to two others. "Maybe she'll make her first friends today," she smiled. She noticed one of her good friends, Tamiko, in the clearing, along with a new fellow. He seemed to own the water Stymphalian.

"Hey!" Rift called. "Your Stymphalians grew, I see." He smiled, a wide grin. The wind tossled his spikg hair as he walked toward the two girls. "I don't think we've formally introduced. I'm Riftwing," he said with a bow.

Khhilar, Non repeated. A strong name. He chirped a greeting to the other fire Stymphalian that was approaching them.
Tamiko looked over towards Khomi as she heard the different sounds the girl seemed to be making. She grinned at her friend then turned her attention back to Rift. "And I am Tamiko-chan.. or just Tam," she said with a friendly grin.

Khilar purred louder than before at the compliment. See, he really was all that. (XD) Looking back at Aephi, he flicked his tail in a friendly greeting at her. "This is Agamemnon! Isn't he big?!" Really, this cat had no sense in his little nogin.

The young fire Stymphalian approached the other two. She paused at any movement, but in the end, went and finally stood up next to Khilar. He's quite big! she said to Khilar. He looks... strong, and big.

Meanwhile, Khomi, regathering her backpack contents, grabbed out a sandwich and walked closer to Tam and the man who was called Rift. "I'm Khomi," she squeaked. "Ahemm.." She blushed, and swallowed the potion of the sandwich she was hastily consuming.

"Nice to meet you, Tam," Rift replied. "It's great to see other owners here!" His face glowed with excitement.

Non preened his wings and sat tall, showing off his collar and greaves. Have you tried flying yet? he saked. You really should practice, it's fun He stretched his lightning-etched wings and flapped them, the wind whoosing over the little ones. He hovered a foot above the groung and chirped happily, batting at the kits playfully.

Wow!! Aephi chirped in excitement. That's beautiful! I wanna fly too! She calmed down, and ran around Khilar and under Non.

"It's my first time here," Khomi grinned. "Aephi just recently emerged from her pot."
Tamiko dipped her head whilst saying, "Nice to meet you, too, Riftwing. Isn't it? At first I wondered where everyone was!"

Khilar stared in amazement as Non flapped his wings and even floated in the air. That was amazing! Never before had he seen another of his kind fly--maybe because he had only met one of his kind before the water Stymphalian. "Wow! That's amazing!!" The kit was thoroughly amused with the hovering of the other male. He had never known those things on his back were meant for flying.. he thought they were there for decoration and to make him look even better than he was already. Now competely excited at the thought of flying, he fluttered his wings, yet nothing happened. He would definitely need to work on that.
