Welcome to beyond purgatory! I'm still setting a lot of stuff up, but feel free to post!

News:
12/5/05- Bringing this shop back!
7/28/05- Kako comes back to life! xp Photoshop is still dead for me, but I'm hiring some colorists to take my place until I can get myself another copy. PM me with some samples of your coloring and I'll let you know what I think. You're going to need to do the shading yourself, unfortunately, because my shading templates suck and I have no clue how to host .PSD files.
6/11/05- We've finally got some banners up and stuffs, Awesome!

Long ago, far before the existance of humans, there were angels and there were demons. And, of course, war broke out. Angels, being the embodiments of good, could not coexist on the same plane as demons, the embodiments of evil. Just as Yin and Yang are balanced the angels and demons were equally matched, so the war ammounted to nothing. After some time an uneasy peace settled over the land. Just as with Yin and Yang there was a little evil in good and a little good in evil. On rare occasions an angel and a demon would interact and get along, eventually falling in love. Thus crossbreeds were created. Though the parents of these mistfits loved their children dearly, neither heaven nor hell would stand for thier existance. The angels would not allow the demons to slay thier own kin, so the crossbreeds were banished to a parralell realm and given a lesser form as canines. Laws were made banning angel and demon interaction, and all who were found breaking this law were killed on the spot.
The embodiments of the crossbreeds became surprisingly intellegent, much to the dismay of the angels and demons, and quickly developed a sophisticated culture. Sophisticated though it was, thier culture revolved around one main thing: Fighting. They battled for everything; To decide officials, to settle an argument, to win money, and, of course, for recreation.
On the rare occasion that a human and one of the crossbreeds(Henceforth refered to simply as 'Canines') meet, a special bond can be formed. A psychic connection forms between the two and they become partners. Partners will train together, and with proper cooperation will greatly increase thier strength.

((Okay, I just have to say this. This shop is not about a super-original story line, the whole thing is battle-based. I've wanted to open a battle-based shop for some time, and now I have. If you don't like it then **** off.))

Child

The second a canine is old enough to leave it's mother it goes out into the world, often searching for a partner. Children's wings are not yet fully developed, so they can't fly, but they may hover for small amounts of time. Children are about the size of a small dog, say... just below Knee-height on the average person.

Teen

Ah, the teenager. They can be a little moody at this stage and may get in fights with thier partner. By this point thier wings are fully developed, though they may not know how to use them to their fullest potential. Teenagers are around the size of a large dog, a little bigger than a lab. They're maybe... halfway down your upper leg at the shoulder.

Adult

Last but not least, there's the adult. Depending on their personality, the adult may still be rather difficult to his/her partner. They can now fly very well. Adults are around the size of a very large wolf, upper-hip height at the shoulder.

Like People, every canine has an alignment with light or dark, a tendancy to be good or bad. Alignment is an essential part of RPing so I don't encourage changing it often. You are allowed to change your canine's alignment from it's starting alignment once. Every time after that it costs 1k for an alignment change(Price is subject to change without notice)

Alignment also plays a large role in battle, each class has different powers reached at each level. The possible alignments are as follows-

Chaos

Chaos: The baddest of the bad. Chaos is more like a cult than an alignment? or maybe some sort of really odd private guild. To become chaotically aligned you must first be invited by another chaos-aligned canine, then they must pass three grueling challenges (Provided by a staff member) one of which will very likely be a battle. Like with all alignments, some Canines may be born into this. It is not likely for this to happen, and most of the resulting children of Chaos breedings will be merely Evil.

Evil

Evil: Evil canines aren't always bad tempered and dislikeable, but it?s quite common. They can range from those Just barely breaking the law(In our terms, maybe bank robbers XP) to those who have almost outdone the devil himself.(Mass murderers, fiends, torture specialists). Your canine's alignment will be changed if you are seen rping often and your actions are deemed 'evil' by at least two of the major staff members or if you RP your canine specifically changing their alignment to evil or studying under an evil master.

Neutral

Neutral: Your average Canine. They neither act good nor evil and can range from pickpockets to those who do cleanups for their local parks. Most Flatsale eggs start out as this and it is probably the safest and easiest to RP alignment. It can have very tough repercussions effecting your battle abilities, though.

good

Good: The nicer, Kinder group of Canine's. They generally avoid serious battling but are happy to partake in a sparring match for fun. This can range from Really, really nice Canines(Healing the wounded, helping with chores) to the most extreme do-gooders ever(Spending all of their time raising orphans and helping others)

blessed

Blessed: The absolute best, they are always on standby to help heal anyone who needs it. Blessed is sort of a good version of chaos, though it?s more like an exclusive club than a cult. To be accepted into the Blessed alignment you must first be invited by one already blessed, then you must do three good deeds for others(Provided by Staff) Most Blessed Breedings will result in good children

Chaotically Blessed

Chaotically Blessed: This has to be the oddest classification of all. The Chaotically blessed do what they believe is right, even if it is a little ?Outside the Law?. Their basic motto is ?The end justifies the means?. Unlike the normal blessed they?d be willing to sacrifice one to save a dozen.

Welcome to the Cult of the Chaotic Canines. Chaos Canines don't fight, they slaughter. A strict lawless Hierchy of kill or be killed says who will rule and who will follow. Unlike the other alignments, Chaos Canine's aren't usually very close. They stay in tiny family units and come together only for mass rituals or slaughters. Their attacks are absolutely devastating, and the effects can range from an uncontrollable hurricane to volcanic eruptions that seem to be ending the world itself. Chaos Canines do not help others out, even one kind deed would cause them to be forever thrown from the Chaos alignment, a price on thier head if ever they return.

(almost)All flatsale Canines are neutrally aligned. It's not that the neutrals don't care, though there are some who fit into that category, they simply don't feel particularly attracted to doing lots of good or lots of evil. Neutral fighters get less powerful fighting techniuques, unfortunately. Because thier aura is neither good nor bad they cannot learn a lot of specialized Magic, and thier pysical attacks lack the raw determination good and evil have. Basically, Neutral is not a good choice to make as far as alignments go. Neutral Canines CAN, however, train under Neutral, good, or evil masters and learn a bit of both good and evil's attacks.
