very interesting, I would love to try this one day,I would love to test the no dmage sand theory as well,but I have 1 question does boss's have hate lists like ed for example?and if they do would the sand theory work on eb?(sorry if theory is the wrong word)
Only exception (that I know of) is EB's Tail. It always moves towards the largest group of people. All other bosses have hate lists, as far as I can tell. Actually, I should check the Stone Coat. He might not.

{Most of this went over my head. XD
Except for one thing.
When Diagnose was mentioned.

I spam Diagnose a lot (especially when crewing), so everytime I spam it, I pick up these hate points from the other players and the Animated attack me instead? Huhhhhhh... That's something to think about.

Well, if I can save the healer or tank or attackers by sacrificing myself, I'm all for it. Haaahaaa...

Interesting thread, y'all.}

If a player dazes, their hate is automatically reset to 0.

I still see animated chases after people who are dazed, or who are dazed then revived.
Could be a glitch. I will try to proudce the video of this.

I'm not a big fanatic on techniculties and the sort but bandage isn't listed on how much hate it generates.

I know its not the best healing ring, but how much hate does it generate on r1 and r4?

Well, according to the old rings and ghi thread, it heals

RR1 -> 250 Damage Healed
RR2 -> 300 Damage Healed
RR3 -> 400 Damage Healed
RR4 -> 500 Damage Healed

so hate it generates should be

rr1 -> 125
rr2 -> 150
rr3 -> 200
rr4 -> 250

if I understand the system well enough (it doesn't AoE, but for single targets, it gets about double the rage than Diagnose, and more than Wish [because it heals much more (although Wish outpaces it for crews where you can heal multiple people and other people can heal you - so in crews, it's not the best healing ring [outside of crews, on the other hand, it reigns supreme])]).

Thanks for the quick reply- I will agree its the best healing solo ring but those numbers seem a little 'small'? Honestly I dont want to deal with the math but I will copy and paste to show what I'm talking about.

Wish
User ImageHeal any of your friends, one at a time with this quickly-recharging and powerful ring. Higher Rage Ranks heal targets standing around your target also. The bigger the Rage Rank, the bigger the area affected.

Range: Very Long
Stamina Cost: 4-5 Stamina
Cooldown: 4 seconds

RR1 -> 150-200 Damage Healed (170 Damage Healed)
RR2 -> 190-250 Damage Healed (220 Damage Healed) + AoE
RR3 -> 230-320 Damage Healed (270 Damage Healed) + AoE
RR4 -> 320-440 Damage Healed (380 Damage Healed) + AoE

HotRed_streak
Wish (rr2+):
rr2: ~110 hate points per person healed (~550 possible)
rr4: ~190 hate points per person healed (~950 possible)

If wish's r4 heals 320/440, roughly 380 and generates 190 hate per person but also 950 possibly how can Bandage healing 500 and generate 250 hate per person?

Well, the guide's rule of thumb says:
Quote:
For every 1hp you heal, you generate .5 hate for each animated that hates that player. If you heal people that aren't on an animated's hate list, you won't generate any hate.

So Wish heals 220 average at rr2 (its first stat is put at rr2, because that's where its AoE healing starts), and generates 110 hate per person healed. Bandage heals 300 average at rr2, so 300/2=150 hate. At rr4, Wish heals 380 per person, and 380/2=190 hate per person, while Bandage's 500 (healing)/2 = 250 hate. The numbers seem to match up.

The hate generated is bigger for Bandage, because it heals more. However, that's just per person. The 950 hate is from healing 5 other people with Wish, since Wish can AoE with rage. If an animated hates each one of them, you'd get 190 hate from healing one of them, 190 hate from healing the next, and so on (if they all were in the AoE radius, all had some hate from that animated, and all got healed that full amount).

Lordy that quote is effin long....BUT

Thank you SO much for explaining it.
My brain sorta comprehends the formula and after you reminded me about Wish's AoE= more hate I went 'DUURRR'.
So, been thinking...

What would create more Hate?
Fire Rain or Dervish?

Because FR has DoT, and Dervish is a one damage blow...

So would that mean that Dervish's Hate effects will be more drastic that FR's, because the damage is one big hit, not damage over a long tome...

Is this correct?
Or am I just f***ed in the head.
I will bump this in the hope that my question will be answered! O_O

Well it depends.

If you use both once, at the same time, the person who used Dervish will get aggro first, but eventually the person who used Fire Rain will take aggro.

If both people keep spamming the rings over and over again, it might flip flop at little at first, but eventually the person with Dervish will have firm control of aggro, because Dervish does more damage over time (higher DPS).
