High School Musical
On Friday, January 20th, 2006, Disney Channel aired it's January Disney Channel Original Movie called High School Musical. That night, the movie got over 7 million viewers. The album was the most bought album on iTunes for more than 3 weeks. Even the songs "Breaking Free" and "Get'cha Head in the game" received Platinum and Gold. Since it was such a big hit, I decided to create a High School Musical Guild. If you did not see High School Musical it is about basketball pro, Troy Bolton, and brainiac, Gabriella Montez, who meet at a New Year's Eve party and are forced to sing together where they sang beautifully. They get seperated when they have to get back home, but Gabriella has moved to the same school as Troy goes to. What she does not know about Troy is that he has never sang a song in front of a crowd before (though he has sang in the shower) and he is the star basketball player. His friends think singing is for losers and he thinks it is to, or at least he used too. He and Gabriella accidentally sign-up for the school play, against Sharpay and Ryan Evans, the co-presidents of the drama club who try to stop them from singing while trying to not to be sucked in by peer presure. Along the road of singing, Troy and Gabriella find out who they really are, while confronting their fears. What Time Is It? Summertime of course, and the Wildcats are out for the summer. Everyone's wondering about where to get jobs, until Troy recievies a call to work at Lava Springs, a resort owned by Ryan and Sharpay's parents. While there, Troy has to decide whether to go with an amazing college scholarship, or to go with his friends. In the movie, Ryan also learns how to believe in himself more also. Throughout the movie, everyone learns to live right now, and live everyday. When the first airing of High School Musical 2 aired on August 18th, 2007, it happily received over 17 million viewers, breaking the highest viewed cable show ever!
