Welcome to the Otherworld!
If you have come across this, it isn’t by accident.
You were looking for something specific, an answer to something you have always wondered. You searched it in the guild network, a signature intrigued you, a friend recommended us. However you got here, it wasn’t an accident.
You know that you are not of this world.
You are part of a different life from all the other humans here on Gaia. You have roots deep in the planet’s magic, and have abilities and skills you fear would be seen as strange or abnormal by the humans. You are afraid you are alone in this world.
Fear not.
The fact that you are even reading this means that you are not alone. There is a place for you, right under your nose.
It is called the Otherworld.
The world is not the same as it was before. Once humans and we inhumans lived side-by-side, aware of each other and respectful of our differences. But humans grew fearful that we would take over the planet and enslave them, so they began to kill us off, from the largest dragon to the smallest woodland Fairee. Now, centuries later, humans have all but forgotten the creatures they used to call brethren, and these remains of our inhuman societies live in secret, disguised as humans in their world.
This is the Otherworld.
The Otherworld, an almost separate world of magic that lives side by side with humans. Humans are nearly oblivious to it, and the Otherworld is determined to keep it that way. By joining up with an Otherworld community, you are immersing yourself in our world where you live in constant fear of being discovered by the human race and starting yet another war between the species.
We Inhumans are anything tied to magic. Humans and inhumans are similar in that they can exhibit rational thought patterns and judgments, but inhumans have the evolutionary edge over humans in that they are able to manipulate magic. Magic is the life force of the planet, often called Mana. It comes in many forms, the most common being invisible strings that surround the earth in a giant woven net. Inhumans are able to tap into the power of these strings and manipulate them in order to perform feats that no human could do, called magic.
