The Greates supporting Characters (Ones who werent in 4077)

For a while, the many supporting characters who were in many episodes, but not assigned to the 4077, or ones that WERE IN THE 4077, but never got spotlighted, have gone unappreciated. SO heres to some of the good ones:

Sidney Freedman: The psychologist who helped many wounded patients get through tough times and even worked with Hawkeye at times.

Nurse Kelly: Kelly was only really spotlighted in the episode "Look Me Over" where she helped hawkeye to realize that she was a great person despite her looks. She is seen on numerous occasions in the OR through out the series.

Colonel Flagg: While he was the subject of a few episodes, Flagg is really a mystery. One that has a few cracks in it. This crack pot "Intelligence" operative is still good for a laugh or two, after you get past the skitzopherinia.

Sparky- Alothough we never see Sparky, he is one of the characters who Radar often traded with for supplies, so without him, life would have bben bad for the 4077

Zale- Zale is a more popular support character, but this Supply/Motorpool sargent gives us a good chuckle with his constant Bayou refferences and gambling, as well as his habit of falling asleep under the jeep

Colonel Flagg is my favorite character that's not assigned to the 4077. He gives me a ton of laughs, especially when he watched the three stooges and stabbed himself in the stomach with a needle every time he smiled to train himself not to laugh.

One of my questions about him, though, is how he became a Colonel. I mean, the guy is kinda crazy. If Clinger wants a section 8 so bad why doesn't he just copy Colonel Flagg? If anyone has an answer please reply.

One of my favorite was Igor. He didn't have a really big part but I always found him funny. Lol. Especially when he creamed the Padre's corn. Although I must agree with Padre for getting angry about that.

Flagg's CIA/CIC/CID/Whatever, so he's PORBABLY just acting dumb to blend in.

Either that, or the Army IS dumb! xd

i agree with you, Igor is funny, and he creams every thing.

i liked the one soldier went a.w.o.l. and ended up asking for sanctuary in the mess hall during one of the sunday services. that episode really gave me a lot to think about. he may have been in one episode but that guy was amazing

the nthere was the episode " the general flipped at dawn" where the man playing col. potter made his first appearance as crazy general steele. that episode was hilarious

Oh, that's tough. Whenever Flagg pops up I know there's about to be some fun, but I adore Sidney Freedman. Igor and Rizo are fun too-- even though I wouldn't have blamed anyone for creaming Igor after he creamed the corn.

Then there are the numerous adorable Korean children-- Kim, who Trapper was going to adopt, the little girl who kept calling Klinger Mama-san, the little girl who wouldn't go to bed but stayed up to play piano.... And of course Ho John, the laundry girl and her father (and her mother XD), the band of captured musicians who Charles gets attached to and who get blown up...

And there have been so many fun patients! And visiting regular army! And random people!

Sidney Freedman wins hands down. He is the most amazing man after Hawkeye, and I have to say he makes every episode he appears in all that much better!

After Sidney, I love Flagg. Every single episode that has him in it has me almost dying with laughter. He's so psychotic and serious about it that it just kills me! I don't like him himself, but his appearance means an absolutely great episode.
