In the Arena....

"I'm Kioshi. You must be Jack." He paused for a moment, looking at Kai. "I've been... away. Trapped in some boring humans body. Out of all the humans on Earth, I get stuck inside one who lives in Kansas. After you rescued me from Purgatory, that is. Just my luck, huh?"

Looking at the fireflies circling around him, he waved them away, signaling to Rem that he was fine.

Rick was directly under Tamnir at the moment. He sent several tremors and ripples through the top of the rock in different locations, hoping to cause a distraction. And when the moment was right, he'd spring his trap...

Jack was taken aback by the fact that this Kioshi knew who he was, Jack stared at him arms at hiss side, "how... do you, uh... know my name?" Jack said with alot of confusion in his voice  

[Rem Severem]

Tamnir frowned at the tremors and chuckled. "Good idea." He drew his sword and stabbed the ground near his feet. Turning the blade like he would a key a network of patterns exploded from the blade in every direction to cover the Arena floor. They criss crossed and intersected glowing yellow before turning black and disappearing completely. He was fairly confident with his barriers. The only way Rick was getting back up was finding his way from the underbelly of the Arena or having the shocking amount of power necessary to shatter it.

Rem's fireflies disappeared and she smiled warmly. "It's good to have you back."

Kioshi looked at Jack. "I know everything about my arena. Those candles do more than just illuminate and look pretty." He tossed a glance at Rem and Kai, a more sullen look on his face as he slowly sat up. "Do you know when they're coming?"

Rick frowned from underneath the earthen canvas that covered him. Luckily, though, Tamnir had forgot one crucial detail... the walls and stairs. Rick flowed effortlessly through the rock and stopped when he was underneath a set of stairs to Tamnir's 7 o'clock.

Darkness began flowing down from the abyss above the arena, caressing the top of the arena and seeping down like blood from a fountain, until it reached the bottom of the steps.

An opening appeared right over Tamnir and light flooded down upon him. Around the opening, the darkness began to swirl in a torrent of pain and suffering.

((Y'know... my fiance keeps wanting to come to see me, all the way from Cali, and I live in TN. I want her to, very badly, but I don't want her spending the money.))

Aergan changed back into his raven and drifted across the arena and landed, once again, on Rem's head. He cocked his head slightly. "You alright, Kio?" He was a little bit unnerved by the phenomena accompanying his return. "A rather flashy entrance, wouldn't you say?"

Kai winced as he described the abilities with the candles. Damn... did he see her collar then? She pulled away from her hug and sat up sheepishly. She caught herself unconsciously reaching to rub the area around her juggular vein and did a smooth fake off and rubbed the back of her neck instead. "That depends on how fast they can track Rem or when we can lure them here."

((Aww... well maybe your fiance wouldn't mind spending the money to come see you.))

"Yeah, about that, Aergan... Unfortunately, when Kai rescued me from Purgatory, my powers were sealed away and the control was given to someone else. I don't know what kind of seal it is, and I'm not sure how to get rid of it. But, yes; I'm fine other than that." Kioshi poked Kai's nose gently with his right index finger. "Well, that's... I don't know. Kind of bad, kind of good."

Jack looked at Kio, so he was the maker of this realm, Jack finally got the last peice of the puzzle and understood it all, he relaxed a bit, "well then it is an honor to meet you Kioshi." Jack then joined their actual conversation. "we figured if we lure them here we can have an advantage, you know ambush them, traps, the such...

((Wait I want to make sure I'm clear on how the trap Rick is using works. *Ahem* So it's like a hurricane eye. Light in the middle nothingness mixed with pain and suffering on the outside swirling around? What is it trying to accomplish? My brain is like "well that's a weird trap, Light helps charge Tamnir up." I can't for the life of me figure out what it's supposed to do... sorry I'm blond today.))

Rem furrowed her brow disapprovingly and folded her arms over her chest. She caught Kai's smooth transition and wanted to tattle, but held her tongue, AND her thoughts. All Aergan was going to get was the Battle theme of the old republic translated into Korean sign language. (Yay for Alice) He'd probably farmed the information out of Kai's head already, but she wasn't going to chance giving anything in her mind away. "I really can't say for certain. It's not like I can see the future. But knowing Malchion, soon. I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly greeted me from behind." She said after a moment, not looking at anyone. She scratched her head. "Damnit Kai! Why did you have to be on earth when I sent Tamnir here?!" She grumbled, but not as angrily as she'd hoped.

((Honestly, Rem... I haven't the slightest idea. I had no clue about light charging up Tamnir, but whatever. XD I guess what I was trying to do was - not so much as a trap - distract him and have certain things come down and surround him. I don't knoooooooo-oooow! >_>))

Kai wiggled her nose at the poke and gave him a weird look about his explanation. "Are you saying some punk in Kansas has some control of your power?"

She suddenly growled at Rem's outburst.

"Its not my fault I-...." She caught herself from admitting the truth and took a quick second to think of something else to say.

"...I just was!" She exclaimed as if it were the best defensive reason in the world. Kai glared at Rem, wondering if she said that to trick her into admitting about the Counsil.

((Hahahaha! Ok ok. I'll wiffer something.))

Tamnir, a little too cocky at the moment by being flooded with light reached out and touched the void. He shouted in surprise at the images that flooded his mind and the feelings that wracked his body. It was like every wound he'd ever received down the the last paper cut was inflicted on him all at once. "Little b*****d." His face scrunched when he heard his mom shout his name in chastisement. "Sorry." He muttered as he took hold of the light and moved it in a direction opposite the void. As soon as he got it going he sheathed his sword slipped through the threads of his barrier and shot over to Rick making a grab for him. Forget the usual magic and fighting techniques he was going to plow the little punk into the ground the good old fashioned way.

Rem smirked. She hadn't meant to make Kai almost spill the beans. In all truth she was really just extremely frustrated. "Sorry." She muttered hanging her head slightly. "I just didn't want him getting hurt or... used against me." She said softly before turning back into her normal sweetly belligerent self. "You messed up all my plans you know!" She said with a teasing smile. Blinking for a second she looked at Kio. "So... the candles send you recordings of EVERYTHING?"

A section of wall opened next to the group around Kio and Zaira's head popped out "Because that might be a little disturbing" she said jokingly as an addition to Rem's question.
She walked up to Kio's side and did a little wave "Howdy there Kio, long time no see."
