Vash blushed slightly as his younger sister smiled up at him, giving a slight nod. He turned and walked into the kitchen, finally taking notice to the cereal she had poured a while ago. Picking it up, he silently ate it. He didn't care if it was slightly soggy from how long time had passed. It would be a waste of money to throw it away when it was still fine, after all.

It didn't take him long to finish the bowl, sipping at a small glass of fruit juice. He set the dirty dishes in the sink, knowing that if he were to wash them now, they would probably end up late. They needed to leave the house within the next ten minutes if they wanted to get to the meeting on time, which was what he had planned in advance.

"Are you nearly ready?" he called out, slipping on his coat and walking toward the foyer in order to grab his beret and pull on his boots.

It wasn't a very large umbrella as it was only built for one, but Antonio simply pulled the Italian a bit closer to him so he was protected from the rain. It didn't take him long to catch a taxi. While he knew they overcharged, there were always taxis outside of the airport that were willing to take a person anywhere in the city.

Waiting for Lovino to crawl in first, Antonio closed the umbrella and ducked into the car before he could get any more than damp.

In a short period of time, they were at the Parliament building. Walking down the hall with an easy going smile on his lips, he tapped the wet umbrella against his leg lightly. One step into the meeting room, he caught sight of the sulking Frenchman and beamed, hurrying over. "Buenos dias*, Francis!"

Lili lifted her voice to call back. “Yes, doing quite fine thank you.” as she remained in one place not saying that yes, she was ready, but she did not want to rush him, she would not wasn't to make him feel anymore stressed then he already was, causing more trouble to the one who took care of her would be quite disrespectful, and plain rude.

Her face slightly lightened as he started walking towards the door. “I think the taxi is here...” she trailed off looking out the window for confirmation, that yes, in fact it was here, and the driver did not look impressed.

Vash nodded, sighing. "He arrived a couple of minutes ago," he agreed. He hated going by taxi. It cost too much money, in his opinion, but he hated busing it even more. He didn't like being packed like sardines.

After she had gotten her things, Vash opened the door for Lili. Once she was on the other side, he grabbed his briefcase (with a hidden revolver in it) and brushed his free hand on the side of his jacket, ensuring his other gun was still there. It was. He closed the door and locked it behind him, following his sister to the taxi.

France looked up at Spain and his mood brightened “Ah, Bonjour Antonio, how was your flight, hopefully not too bad?” he mused playfully twirling a strand of golden hair around his index finger, a smirk rising on his lips as he looked Antonio quickly once up and down.

“Might I say, you look good Old Friend.” he flicked his head to one side trying to show his bruise as somewhat of a battle star, practically begging the man to ask of how something so harsh could come some thing of this matter happen to a person so good looking.

'My my, don't you have a way with words...?' Roderich breathed, a slight chuckle escaping him as he gazed up at the ex-nation with a slight grin. 'It's almost charming.' Of course, he didn't mean that at all. It was meant to only highlight that Gilbert had steadily gotten much quieter since the beginning of this little 'war'. 'Remember... Whatever goes on here, you started it.' He purred, a little darkly so, with eyes half-lidded as he looked steadily at Gilbert. He noticed the blush, but preferred not to make a remark about it... After all, he was sure that his rival knew about it, so there was really no point. 'A little warm in here, don't you think...?' Okay, he couldn't resist a little dig. It was priceless. Especially that little noise... If it had been anyone but Gilbert, it'd have been adorable. He reached to gently ruffle the ex-nation's hair absentmindedly, chuckling lightly to himself. 'You're very cute.' He remarked teasingly, feeling as if he could win this one. It was in his favour now, surely.

----------

Yao flinched a little, but then again, he had been expecting such a reply from the Englishman. 'Arthur... I'm only thinking of you, ahen. You look... A little anxious. I'd appreciate it if you weren't rude to someone who was only trying to be friendly, you know.' He replied in a softened tone, attempting to hide the slight hurt in his voice. He hoped that this wasn't anything to do with Ivan... Sure, he and Yao were good friends, but that didn't mean that the Asian wanted to be cut off from all those who weren't so fond of Russia. He looked to Heracles with a small smile, before standing to carry the little cat over to the slightly abusive nation. 'No one heard you earlier, Arthur, I'm sure, ahen...' Without waiting for an answer, he placed the cat in Arthur's lap, gently stroking it one last time before straightening up. He did not fear for the safety of the cat... Rationally thinking, the worst England could do would be to give him back. After all, if any harm were to come to Corporal Cat, Yao was sure that Arthur would not want both of them -that is, Yao and Heracles- to come to the aid of said animal. He sat back down next to Heracles, smiling a little again, though it was easy to see that the Asian missed the cat already. 'Sorry about that, aru... To answer your previous question... Well, I wouldn't know so much. I've not ever held a cat for that long, like that... I've seen them, but that's the first time I've held one, aru.' He confessed with a sheepish laugh, casting a glance back over at Arthur to make sure that the cat wasn't damaged.

----------

Toris blinked a little at Feliks at the remark about his appearance. Of course he'd seen himself... Well, not the extent, but he knew that he was soaked, his uniform was unironed and his shoe was missing. After a few moments of silence, he couldn't help but grin a little, a few bubbles of laughter rising in his throat. 'Hahaha... No, I've not seen myself this morning, Feliks... Do I look that bad?' He couldn't help but cheer up. After all, it was fantastic that Feliks had not laughed at him... So now, Toris could laugh at himself first. He glanced down at the cookie, before realising that he was absolutely starving... And, as if to add to that, his stomach growled loudly in approval of the recognition. He took the cookie, before literally pouncing forward to hug his best friend, grinning all the while to himself. 'Thank you, Feliks.' He replied gratefully, paying no heed to the fact that he -himself- was soaking wet.

----------

Sindre found himself glancing up briefly to look for the taxi, worry pooling in the pit of his stomach. Surely, they'd not all fit in what was a normal-sized car...? Of course, his gaze shot back towards the ground again, so he was unable to get a look at the vehicle, but he supposed, if worst comes to the worst, it'd be him that would have to walk rather than the others. Not that he minded that. It'd spare him the guilt of watching another one of the Nordics walk in the rain, he supposed, and it'd give him a few moments alone to reflect. In fact, rather than wait for the taxi, he decided to walk off by himself, sparing any potential issues. He pushed his hands into his pockets as he attempted to slink off unnoticed -not too much of a hard feat for him nowadays- with a swallow. Besides, he could always hope that one of his other friends would find him... Or perhaps even a new friend. He could not even bring himself to glance back at the others... After all, they could potentially notice him then. And right now, he didn't want that.

Giving the Frenchman a quick hug, Antonio settled himself into the chair next to him and smiled. "Not too bad. Lovi is upset with me, though," he murmured, still wearing his easy-going grin. He leaned a bit onto the table, zoning out for a second, before glancing back toward his friend.

"Ay dios mio*! What happened to your face?" he blurted, staring at the bruise that was marring the light skin of Francis's cheek. He sat up straight again, a worried and concerned expression in his emerald eyes.

*Oh my God!*

With a small effort of will, Gilbert washed all emotion from his expression, his eyes, and his posture. The sly amusement vanished, leaving his crimson eyes carefully blank. The dusting of pink faded. His slight grin fell into a controlled neutral frown. He set his hand on the table beside the aristocrat, his other resting on the back of his chair. "Cute, is it?" he questioned softly, voice lacking any indication of his thoughts. He resisted the urge to shy away from the hand ruffling his hair, hiding any indication that he was even aware it was there.

The only visible reaction to the Austrian's mere presence was the slight calculating look that had appeared in Gilbert's eyes. He paused, meeting violet eyes calmly.

'Well, it was.' Roderich frowned a little, finding the stare to be a little unsettling. Unlike Gilbert, he was unable to hide his emotions so well, and his unease was not too hard to pick up from his slightly tense posture, and worried look in his eyes. Just when he thought he'd gotten the upper hand, it'd slipped so quickly from his grasp... And not only that, the adrenalin had left his system and he as beginning to feel rather jittery... He gave an obvious shiver, swallowing yet again as he felt the familiar unease settle in... The feeling that hindered his speech and actions to the point of dullness. 'I suppose... D... Don't look at me like that.' He muttered, wanting to break the eye contact, but was unable to. His face flushed to the very roots of his hair as he squirmed uncomfortably under Gilbert's gaze.

About to retort something, Arthur was taken aback when China walked over to him with the cat in his arms. Green eyes widened when the cat was placed in his lap, giving the Asian man a quick glance at the words he had spoken. He glanced back down at the small creature, silent. The cat was sitting on him, watching him with curious eyes. It gave a soft, trilling meow.

Carefully masking his expression, he pet the cat once. He then lifted it onto the table and got up, leaving that side of the room without a word.

The Brit moved to an empty area of the conference hall, leaning against the wall with a soft sigh. He closed his eyes and frowned slightly.

'Arthur...?' Yao frowned a little, though he knew that the Englishman wouldn't have heard him. It wasn't as if it was difficult to pet a cat, surely... And it usually made people happy to do such things. And it seemed as if he wasn't allergic... So he didn't know what the problem was. Then again, seeming as Arthur had moved away, he thought it'd be best not to follow. But then... It'd seemed as if he had been getting through to the Brit, only if ever so slightly... There was so much he didn't know about him, Yao supposed. He retrieved the cat without another word, placing it on Greece's lap again, mutteirng a soft 'excuse me' to the man before following Arthur tentatively.

'I know you're only going to tell me to go away. Or you're going to hurt me, ahen... But Arthur...' Yao spoke gently to the man, stood a few paces away. 'You can't shut out people... Who want to care. I'm not trying to be condescending, ahen... I just want to know... Why you're hurting so much. And why you lash out... Can't you speak to me?' The Asian was trying his best, and supposed that he would not care if Arthur lashed out at him too. It'd only confirm some suspicions, after all.

Keeping his gaze firmly on the Austrian's eyes, the albino's lips curved up into a sly smirk. His gaze was still cold and calculation, watching the aristocrat's resolve wither away to nothing but a nervousness. He made a soft sound of disappointment in his throat, frowning ever so slightly. "You're still not there yet, Edelstein. Success goes to your head and you let your guard down," he murmured. They were still close enough that Gilbert could feel his breath.

He smirked slightly, losing the coldness and replacing it with his casual sureness again. "Almost," he whispered softly. "I almost saw it...but you lost it."

'I've lost nothing but my dignity to you, Gilbert.' The Austrian growled, eyes narrowing a little. Of course, he hated being taunted by the ex-nation, and although his stomach was twisting and turning like goodness-knows-what, he certainly didn't feel as if being a good loser. Oh no, he was going to be the sorest loser possible. 'You've nothing else but that... And I'll always have the memory of that little blush of yours.' Sure, it was a spiteful dig. In fact, Roderich felt nothing but spite. And of course, shame. 'And that cute little noise... Was that a whimper... When I kissed you?' Perhaps it wasn't too late to save himself from an embarrassing defeat. In fact, he could even smirk a little in a response to his reflection. 'Heh... You've no clue how much I hate you right about now, Gilbert. None at all.' He hung his arms loosely around his rival's neck, leaning to kiss his cheek with a little laugh. 'But I've no way near given up. Not to you, not today.'

It was loud, Arthur noted grimly, a headache making itself known as he rested his head against the wall wearily. There was a terrible fury settling in his gut, wanting to break through his restrictions and just lash out. He was tired of falling ill and out of people's minds. He was tired of the politics. It was all beginning to ebb on his control over his violent temper that he had inherited form his older brothers. He just wished that people would leave him alone and let him pick up the pieces. Let him reseal his borders. Let him just...block out the world.

He heard footsteps, knowing that the Asian had followed him. He was silent, listening to the man's words. His eyes were still shut and he didn't react at first. After a brief moment, he opened his eyes and glared at the Asian.

"You have some nerve," he spat out, voice thick with his accent. "You seem to believe that you can read anyone, do you? Have you ever thought that you might be incorrect in what you view of another? Do you get tired of trying to dig into the business that does not involve you? Surely not, since you never seem to know when to quit!"

With a smooth movement, he moved away from the wall and met the Asian squarely, arms crossed and a coldness in his green eyes. "I suggest you think of what you say to someone. Words can get a person hurt, after all." A dangerous smirk tugged at his lips.

The Asian cowered briefly, though he stood firm after a few moments, looking up at the Englishman with a determined, steely gaze in his eyes. 'I do not claim to be able to read everyone... Why do you think I asked you what was wrong rather than to assume? You're not the only one who's been abandoned by those who you've loved dearly, Arthur...! If perhaps you weren't so woe-is-me and accepted that others have had a hard time, just the same as you, perhaps you'd feel more in-tune with the world around you...!' He snapped, feeling his temper wear thin, though he tried to keep it together as much as possible. 'And even after you and I had that little 'issue' with the opium wars, I still try. No one wants to be alone, Arthur... You think I like it? You think I like waking up everyday to an empty household...? And I don't care if you hurt me. If you want to hit me, be my guest. It'll just prove to both me and you that you've not finished grieving at all, have you?' His last few sentences dwindles to a soft tone, eyes beginning to blur a little as he blinked away the tears that threatened. He knew that the nation was still hurting but it was just too difficult to speak with him like this.
