I'm going to bloody well kill somebody. I called my insurance company with my claim almost two weeks ago, and they just got back to me today to ask if I'd heard anything. "No? Oh, I'll call the other woman's insurance." Gee. It would have been nice if you'd done that OVER A WEEK AGO. It's YOUR ******** JOB.

He calls back. "Oh. Haha! She never filed the claim with her insurance. These old people, sometimes they forget." Oh, bull ******** s**t. You don't forget denting the ******** out of somebody's car. And if you do, that's all the more reason you shouldn't be on the road! Godamned mother ******** c**t.

Why are people such assholes? The ONE time I hit somebody, I barely bumped them. Some van ahead in the other lane just decided to pass a slow-moving vehicle, in a no-passing zone, with two cars coming at them. He slammed on the brakes and my car didn't stop in time. I apologized at least five times. There was no damage to his car and only a slight scratch to mine, but I still offered to give him my insurance information. He said he didn't need it since his car was fine, and we both left.

But this ******** makes a left-hand turn straight into my car, bangs it to all hell, and not only do I not get a single "sorry," but she's trying to dodge paying for it! @()@)^@*^@%@(*$^!(

Insurance companies generally want a lot to fix something. I did something similar (I was backing up from my parking spot when a guy didn't stop in time or something) and insurance wanted $500 for a stupid scratch or a dent or something. My dad went down to the guy's house and looked at it and gave him a couple hundred for the dent. The guy really didn't know what to do since he never got into a fender bender (nor had I). I think his daughter was driving. I dunno.

But yeah. Guys are better at assessing their cars. It boggles my mind. Cars and me are like fwoooosh...I have no idea what to do. Haha.

Oh, I love it. Both times I've been hit it was some old broad who should have had her license revoked a good 20 years ago. Rather than apologize, their first response is to try to blame me for it, like I'm so stupid I can be intimidated into believing it was my fault when they CLEARLY hit me and thus not call the police. Then, when the police tell them it was THEIR fault, they try to tell me there "isn't much damage."

Um, EXCUSE me? You disconnected my front bumper, put a large dent above my front passenger wheel, and KNOCKED OUT A LIGHT. Does a car have to be TOTALED for you to consider it "damaged"?

GEEZ! It's got to be 50 mph winds out today. Wind warnings are up to 70 mph! It's like someone upset God himself. I'm staying indoors...but it's so boring.

Pyre: People will do anything to get out of a ticket. The girl who hit my dad had a suspended license and she didn't even get a citation. -_____-

Then why the need to continue being a callous b***h after you already have the ticket? I can't stand people who don't take responsibility for their own ********.

That's bullshit sevi, 50 mph winds are normal around here except for in the summer(when we need it) but then I live in a natural wind tunnel. xp

And yeah I ******** hate those ******** that hit you and won't man(woman) up to it and just get things settle instead of pussyfooting around trying to avoid it.

The b***h that rear ended me back in 05 never took responsibility even though we filed a police report and she didn't have a license, so even though I had to have physical therapy, three years and 4 days after the accident the insurance calls saying she never paid for it and because the statute of limitations was up I had to pay for it, which was a bunch of ******** bullshit.

My second accident was so much better handled, since the old lady admitted hitting me and paid for the damage to my mom's van and everything.

I finally got a call from the woman's insurance company. Apparently even being totaled is "not much damage" to that b***h, because they're talking about it. They said given the age of the car and the extent of damage, it would "make more economic sense" to just pay me for it. They haven't actually sent anybody out to look at it, yet, so hopefully they won't declare it a total loss. But the fact that they're talking about it scares me.

If they do, I have half a notion to sue the b***h. That hit has my fibro all worked up and I've already missed four days of class because I'm just in too much pain to go. I also happened to be listening to a Japanese import of Epica's Phantom Agony when she hit me, and now my favorite track is scratched all to ********. It took me months to find that, and it cost 2-3 times what any normal CD would. (In case you're wondering why I'd have such a valuable CD in my car at all, it's because my home stereo, while still sounding perfectly wonderful, is too old to read past the anti-pirating measures on the disc, and I haven't had any means to make a back-up for a good while.)

Eh. Suing would probably cost me more money than I got, and doing it for spite would wear me down just as much emotionally. Maybe I'll look her up in the phone book and egg her house, instead. -_-

Insurance companies do suck. My fiance was in an accident several months ago -- well, he was a passenger. His parents were getting gas and some ******** rear ends them. While they're stopped. At a gas pump. I mean srs wtf?

Anyway, he had his arm tucked against his chest under the shoulder strap, and I guess the impact was just forceful enough to tug on his shoulder and wrist. The insurance company was paying for it and all and so he was going to a chiropractor to help his shoulder and wrist, but all of a sudden the insurance company changed their minds and told him they weren't gonna pay for the chiropractor because it wasn't "necessary" and were only going to give him $500. I'm sure that $500 doesn't even come close to covering the visits that he did have.

And to make matters worse, since he didn't finish the therapy, he is still in pain somewhat regularly due to the whole thing. It sucks. He wants to get a lawyer but he's not sure.

The kinda LOL part is that his parents and the guy who rear ended them had the exact same insurance agent.

Oh I remember that Ryo. Are you freaking serious? I hate car accidents. Truly. There has to be something done about it. -_____-

Pyre: Wow. Maybe that would help? I know it doesn't sound like much (esp. since they didn't look at it) but usually that happens. Sometimes bumps can be fixed but if it's a tail light...that needs to be repaired. Well, let's just hope it's enough. :/

I wouldn't sue either. Not only that, it's probably too small of a case to do anything about it. My dad got a lawyer to deal with this whole situation but the lawyer says that with such a small case (like with a totaled motorcycle, a broken leg AND MRSA?) that he nor my dad would get a lot out of it. He'd help and everything and charge about 1/3 if my dad got anything out of it. That's pretty much it. Only part that's ridiculous is who's at fault for the accident because it was her fault (esp. if she's not suppose to be driving on a suspended license). Even the officer's report was bogus. I'm glad Progressive took our side and paid us for the damages. It's a good insurance company (regardless if their commercials come on 24/7).

I didn't have this much trouble the last time I was hit. Hell, they came out the very next day, gave me an estimate, and I had it repaired within the week.

And I'm not sure what you mean would help, Sevi. My car is not unrepairable. They simply think it would cost more to repair it then it is "worth" because it is ten years old. But it is a damned good car. It steers well, it gets good gas mileage, it's comfortable, it barely has 70,000 miles on it!

Man, I just don't ******** need this stress. It would have been bad enough if I'd heard that two weeks ago, but after patiently waiting to have my car fixed and then have them say "lulz - ur car is a pos bcuz its old so heres sum money"? Now I need to get an estimate from an auto repair place I trust and fight it out so they don't ******** me over. -_-
