New Years Ball

Toris smiled apologetically taking a short step back.

"Sorry about that. I didn't mean to.."

Taking a napkin and picking up the food object, he found a servant somewhere and had them dispose of it.

[Vash Zwingli]

Grumbles and picks out two Schaumrollen to make up for the loss, weaving his way through the empty chairs and tables, motioning the Lithuanian to follow.

"It's quite a big room, isn't it? I do hope more people arrive... Can't imagine much dancing going on with just the four of us."

Already starts snacking on the way to his chosen table.

"Can you even dance? I don't think I've ever seen you dance. You should learn how to dance."

Lithuania weaved through the chairs after grabbing something small to snack on and a drink. He sat down at Switzerland's chosen table set his food down.

"I hope so too. At least there's an even number if it's just us.. We could draw straws to decide on partners or something."

He hoped it wouldn't come to that. Everything looked so nice it was a shame if it went to waste. He blinked out of his thoughts and stared at Vash for a moment processing the question.

"O-Oh, yes.. I can dance. A little bit... It's been a while though. Can you dance?"

Happily nibbling on some cheese-sticks by now.

"Ah? You can? I wouldn't have thought... Hm. And of course I can dance!! I'm a wonderful dancer!"

"Why wouldn't you think I could? I've been around for a while.. I've been to a Ball or two."

Of course having lived with Russia he'd seen dances like this held, but of course he mostly served at them rather than danced. There were other times in his life he's had the opportunity to dance, he just preferred to be a wallflower and didn't plan on changing that here.

"You are? Do you dance a lot then?" He nibbled on a cookie watching the Swiss eat.

"Hn. I don't remember ever having seen you dance."

Furrows brow in thought, trying to imagine the Baltic nation fly over the dance-floor in a Waltz.

"Still. We're only four people. It's quite a sad turn-up."

 

[Toris Lorinaitis]

"Well I don't do it often I guess, I'm probably not very good at it."

He sighed and wondered anyone else was coming. It seemed so quiet despite the band continuously playing for imaginary dancers. Slowing swirling the contents of his glass and checking the door now and then he came to the conclusion it was all for not. Positive thoughts just didn't seem to want to happen in his mind.

"Yeah.. Do you think they're busy? Or maybe.. they didn't get the announcement?"
