Ohara Aftermath

So he began to think of way he could put himself through the ordeal. He paced around the ruins. Now beginning to erode and wipe away the Horror of the World Governments power. Maybe a few of these Ohara scholars knew this technique and lived on through the buster call to tell their story to the rest of the world. Most likely not though. The World Government had strong people on their side. with techniques capable of causing mass destruction and wide spread despair. It was wishful thinking to think that someone may have survived this destruction. Then as he was thinking of the creator of these ruins. He came to the assumption of what he could do to put himself through an ordeal.

Eating dirt! That was his master plan to work his craft in this self sustaining technique. He would simply need to swallow dirt and as it acted as poison he would simply repel it and attempt to ignore it. so he went to the ground got handfuls of the nutrient poor dirt and swallowed it up. Already and quickly feeling it's wrath he went at the technique. He concentrated on other things as the dirt went down past his throat somewhat choking him. With this large choking and gagging affect Vincent truly put the technique to work. His face turning red as he attempted to live through the effects of his dirty actions.

Gagging choking and another long term affect of the dirt were taking a toll on Vincent. a stone and red face was left on him as though he were attempting to hold back a laugh. but it wasn't a laugh he was trying to hold back it was his around the corner death. He trembled with disgust of the dirt as it backed up his oxygen as it slid down his throat and into his stomach to begin the long term affects of his dirty deed. Beads of cold sweat rolled down his now comically red face. As he sat completely aware of his surroundings he began to forget about the large amount of dirt backing up his throat and so slowly leaving it. That was the least of his troubles he'd have to stay this way to stand up to the stomach problems he was sure to have form taking in such a large amount of dirt. It was the large ordeal he was going to have to take in order to finish up learning the technique.

Just as the technique dictated Vincent went about finding the will to continue this practice and not seek medical attention. Although it was very tempting to. Just because that a he was largely on the side of choking and a few more seconds away from unintended suicide. Until slide and plop went the dirt in his throat. It dissipated into his stomach allowing air to pass through. Now the second stage of the ordeal was in affect. Stomach problems. Digestion of dirt surely wasn't in the job contract for a stomach. It'd be a hell of an ordeal to gradually digest it for him. especially as young as he was. Soon enough he felt it's toll on his stomach. He'd have to live through this one even longer.

Hours complete hours he'd have to wait before the ordeal was over. And so he did. Hours on end he felt his stomach punish him for swallowing dirt. But he continued on instead of seeking medical attention for poisoning from his dirty meal. He swallowed his will and allowed himself to take the toll of the dirt. It sickened him and he honestly gagged once but for the entire expanse of hours he went about dealing with the dirt in turn truly mastering the technique.

Takehiko Naoki had heard about the Ohara Incident from his family, it was common knowledge of the atrocity that the World Government had performed on the island Ohara, whose residents had only wanted knowledge. It made Naoki sick to the bone to think that they would massacre an entire island just on that basis, they knew too much. He had never visited the island before this moment, he felt that it was about time he did as he now had a bounty on his head to see how far the World Government would go to stomp out a threat. Naoki knelt down onto the ground and picked up a handful of ash, sifting it through his fingers.

1/10 - Climate Baton 101

It was scenes such as this which made Naoki hate the World Government so much, before he had heard about the Ohara Incident he had just held a cold indiference to them, but he was astounded at how quickly they had managed to destroy an entire island with the bat of an eyelid. It was sickening. The fact that it was once an entire island made Naoki feel slightly uneasy about training there, however as he was going to train his newest weapons the Climate Baton and the Flash Revolver, Naoki didn't want to try them out in a crowded place like Ridus Village or Clockwork Island.

He felt bad for thinking it, it seemed insensitive to think such a thing in a place where a massacre took place. But it was true though, there was no-one around for miles so he was able to train in piece and without injuring anyone nearby, except for himself that was. Naoki couldn't wait to try out his new weapon, he had based the entire design and concept on a book he found which held the designs for Cat Burglar Nami of the Straw Hats main weapon named the Perfect Clima-Tact. He loved the entire concept of the weapon and due to his position as Navigator, perfect for Naoki.

Naoki took the three pieces of cold metal off from his belt and inspected them. Such simple looking poles with balls on the end, yet inside they were such complex devices. Naoki stood up from his seat on the ground and brushed himself down, he held each piece individually to see which pole was which. The first piece he held gave Naoki butterflies that he was about to manipulate the weather. He pressed the button on the side of the pole and swung it, causing red coloured bubbles to flow out of the end. It was an amazing thing to witness for Naoki who doubted originally that it would work.

The reaction was formed by the Breath Dial in the ball at the top of the pole being activated, from that with some complex workings inside the pole caused the pole to shoot out red bubbles. These bubbles were obviously the heat balls, due to their colour and how it made the temperature in the air heighten. Happy with how that worked, Naoki exchanged it for another pole. He noticed that it had a blue button compared to the red one on his other pole, guessing that this one must have been the pole that would release the cool balls. So Noaki gave it a swing.

As Naoki took a swing of the second out of three poles, the temperature began to drop as more and more icy blue orbs began to float up into the air. Whilst they floated and exploded, Naoki was already thinking of what other possible techniques he could acheive with his new weapon. Because of this, Naoki decided not to try out the final of the three poles as of yet, until he had finished formulating his next plan. Naoki stuck the final pole back into his belt, taking both the heat and cool poles in each of his hands. Kneeling down, in unison Naoki pressed the buttons which would release the heat and cool balls.

When Naoki pressed both of the release buttons, he started to let loose a large amount of heat and cool balls. Both of these temepratures started to collide in the air, the more that collided the more the temperature began to spiral until dark clouds began to form. Naoki smiled as he saw the change in weather that he had managed to create, the more and more heat and cool balls he added to the mixture, the darker and stormier the weather became. "I am truly a master of the weather" Naoki said, standing up and placing his hands on his hips. His plan was nearing completion.

He only had to add a few more heat and cool balls until his plan was finished, once that had been done Naoki let go of the buttons that were releasing the different balls into the air. Naoki stood back for a few seconds and admired his work, for his first attempt of changing the weather he had done a pretty good job. But now was the time to set his plan into motion. Attaching the other two poles onto his belt once again, Naoki unattached the final pole with the yellow button. This was what would complete Naoki's ultimate plan of creating lightning.

Naoki took the yellow buttoned pole firmly in his hand, gave it a few test swings before pressing the button. He wanted to see if he had the right swing so that he could avoid shocking himself with what was to come. Naoki was nervous about how the technique would work out, but he had faith in himself and pressed the yellow button causing a slight shaking feeling in the pole and then as Naoki swung it up towards the dark cloud the yellow ball of electricty shot out and up into the cloud, the result of which was exactly what Naoki had expected and couldn't have been happier with it.

At first, there was no reaction. The ball of electricity just flew up into the cloud and disappeared, it made Naoki a little aprehensive as he didn't think that his idea had worked out at all. Then suddenly, the rumbling began, light was seen at the base of the cloud which caused Naoki to bare an extremely wide smile. "I've done it! I have created thunder and lightning!" Naoki shouted out, throwing his arms up into the air with delight. He had actually done it; when Naoki had read about Straw Hat Ussop's creation that allowed his comrade Nami to manipulate the weather, he didn't believe it for a second. But it was true.

As far as Naoki was concerned, just seeing the light amassing at the bottom of the cloud was enough for him, as was hearing the thunderous noise that was, in fact thunder that was created by Naoki. However, that wasn't the end of it as Naoki was about to find out. As he put away his batons, clipping them back onto his belt, the sound of thunder grew louder causing Noaki to look up towards the sky. That was when he saw the lightning beginning to gather, he moved back a step. It scared him somewhat that his perfect technique may spiral out of control.

1/6 - Soft Step Mastery.

There was a sudden flash of white in the clouds, followed shortly by a flash of yellow. The lightning was about to strike, Naoki continued to move backwards as he wasn't sure where the lightning would strike. Then he realised what he was doing, he was running away from his own technique. How could he call himself a master of the weather if he was scared by a bit of lightning? Naoki stood forward, almost proudly. That was when the first strike occured, a flash of yellow struck down from the cloud and hit the floor. Naoki was slightly taken aback by the power of it.

As another lightning bolt struck down, hitting the floor Naoki began to realise what immense power he held in his hand. Or what he was holding in his hand at the time of the lightning clouds creation and was now attached to his belt. It suddenly dawned on Naoki as another lightning bolt struck the ground, that his apparently perfect technique had no real control. It just went about its course, all Naoki did was create it. This was the major flaw of his technique, that Naoki was unable to control what the cloud did other than create lightning.

Naoki was sure that eventually the lightning would die down and fade away, until then it was the time for Naoki to train up in his final stage of using the Soft Step technique. Lafitte had never told Naoki of a higher level as there seemed to be none. But Naoki had decided that he would be the first to master the technique completely and this time completely, unlike his Thunder Tempo attack using his Climate Baton. In all of his training with Lafitte, Naoki had learnt many things about Soft Step, however there was one thing that was lacking.

The technique Soft Step excelled at speed in going foreward and zig-zagging across, however the technique lacked the most simple idea. The ability to move backwards at a dizzying speed. It was so obvious to Naoki, who actually only realised it by dodging another lightning strike and so Naoki began his training. If he had to move to somewhere then he would walk backwards, moving at a faster pace each time whilst dodging the occassional lightning bolt that would stray away from the central piece of ground in which the cloud hovered over and would strike its master.

Naoki was getting faster as he continued to run backwards, so much so that he was beginning to think that he had truly mastered the technique. He knew that as soon as he attempted to use Soft Step but forward, his pace and speed would be increased. It was all down to lightning that Naoki was 'struck' with the idea to do so. He finally decided to end his Soft Step training just as the dark thunder cloud began to clear up, it was some sort of signal really, telling Naoki to cease his training. Cease he did, then with that, Naoki jumped aboard his one man boat, taking another look back at the Ashes of Ohara, he pushed off and sailed away.

Takehiko Naoki arrived back in the Ohara aftermath, remembering that he had left his flash dial on the ground by where he had been training. He knelt down to the floor and scooped up the dirty flash dial, he wiped away the majority of the dirt and soil that it had been covered with but still found it to be quite scuffled. He got up from his spot on the ground and pulled out his revolver, he had to check whether or not the flash dial still worked with the revolver otherwise it was useless to Naoki. He slotted the flash dial into the space specifically made for it and aimed.

1/6 - Trap Doa.

Naoki went to pull the trigger, when he realised that if it did work then the flash would escape and blind him, thus he needed his new sunglasses made by the forging pot to prevent any blindness occuring whilst using the revolver and flash at the same time. He popped the sunglasses on and smiled, only wondering how amazing he looked with them on. Holding the gun back up again he aimed at a nearby rock and pulled the trigger, the result was a backfire on the dials part and even though the bullet fired and dug itself into the rock, the dial made no flash.

With a sigh, Naoki pulled the flash dial out and looked at it closely. He poked his finger around inside the dial, making sure there wasn't any dirt stuck in the mechanism, which unfortunatly for Naoki there was. He pulled the dirt out and blew into the dial, giving himself a mouth full of dust and soil. Coughing and spluttering, Naoki spat out a glob of dirty spit. "Disgusting" Naoki said, wondering if it was really worth it, taking a whole mouthful of dirt just to clean out a dial. Nonetheless, he had already done it and was now ready to attempt to fire his revolver again.

He pused his sunglasses back up onto the bridge of his nose, the amount of coughing and spluttering had caused them to fall down onto the tip of his nose. Looking all impressive to the masses of nobodies on the island, slightly making him feel uneasy due to the fact the entire island was massacred. Trying to shake that terrible thought from his memory, Naoki put up his revolver towards the same rock, then slotted in the flash dial, now cleaned of any dirt. With a smirk on his face, he pulled the trigger of his revolver, causing the next bullet out of the ten to fire out into the rock.

The bullet fired out perfectly and hit the rock in the exact same place as the previous bullet, it was the flash dial that Naoki was worried about to begin with, however this time through, it worked perfectly and shot off a flash that covered much of the area. What Naoki had created was a beast of a weapon, he must have been the only one in all the Blues to have a weapon such as that. He wasn't going to give that weapon away in a hurry, he decided to try out the revolver and the flash dial again to make sure that it wasn't just a fluke that the flash went off. Thus he began to aim again.

The gun went off perfectly, as did the flash dial mechanism; another bright flash was caused aswell as another sharp sound as the bullet penetrated the rock for the third time, a little off on the aim however. Happy with how his weapon was working, he placed it back in its holster and clipped his sunglasses on the side of his bag. Then a random thought hit him about his fruit, the Doa Doa no Mi. He only realised it when he looked at the boulder and thought about ground, using the ground as a trap door and pulling the enemy into the ground. It was inspired.

The technique that would allow Naoki to create a door underneath his opponent, pull them in and then close the door, causing them to be trapped underground was inspired. he couldn't believe that he hadn't thought about using it before that moment. Unfortunatly, Naoki had nobody to try the technique on; it wasn't exactly something he could experiment by himself, he needed another person. He sat down on a nearby rock and began to think for a couple of minutes, when suddenly his prayers were answered in the form of a small humming noise coming from his right, in the direction of Clockwork Island.

1/5 - Devil Gas Immunity

The sound of a low humming continued to get louder, Naoki stood up on his feet and looked towards his right hand side. In the distance was an odd shaped man, who as he flew was expelling some sort of gas. The wa that he flew looked eratic and quite slow if Naoki was going to be honesty to him. Perhaps the flying man or woman thought it to be quite fast, but Naoki repsected their opinion no matter how wrong it was. The gas expeller was soon within sight as was the large amount of gas being shot out of the end of a canister strapped to his back. As Naoki thought, it was a man and also as usual, an extremely odd looking man.

Naoki looked up at the odd looking man and scratched his chin. That was some interesting contraption that he had got himself there that allowed to propel him up and into the air for such a long time. As he swept overhead, Naoki caught a smell of the gas and it smelt familiar. Then the odd looking man turned around and continued to almost tread air, a wide smile on his face. It was at this point, Naoki began to feel slightly numb all over his body, he looked up at the man with the word Skunk One written on his body suit and scowled, this mans reputation was not unknown to Naoki.

He had heard the name Skunk One before, he was one of the Bear King siblings just like Pin Joker; the first man Naoki fought on his pirate voyage. By the smile on his face, it appeared that Skunk One was looking for Naoki. It had taken them long enough, it had been a long time since Naoki had been to Clockwork Island, he began to think that perhaps someone had seen him moving towards Ohara and told them, then the fastest way to arrive in Ohara was by Devil Gas. Nonetheless, how Skunk One came to be in Ohara didn't matter, but what he was going to do next.

Naoki attempted to make a move, through the Devil Gas he had inhaled; It was nothing too damaging due to Naoki not inhaling that much. Naoki knew of Devil Gas due to him buying a canister at the Weaponry just before he came back to Ohara, so it was easy to piece together what Skunk One was using. From the overly long face off the two men had decided to do, Naoki's body had gotten used to the effects of the Devil Gas and was ready to exact his revenge upon Skunk One. All he had to do, was get up into the air to face him, or to bring him back down to Earth.

Seeing that Skunk One had taken to using the Devil Gas as some sort of Jetpack, it was obvious to anyone that Naoki would do the same thing. If he waned to master the ability to use the Devil Gas then the best thing to do is attack someone who uses it frequently and learn how to use the weapon. Seeing that the canister Naoki had bought had straps attached to it also gave its uses away somewhat, so Naoki strapped it to his back and turned it on, shooting him high up into the air. The feeling he got from cutting through the air was amazing, he couldn't have imagined it being any better. But it didn't stop him from thinking about it.

Naoki soon let go of the release button and left it to keep him elevated infront of Skunk One. "You! Skunk One! Consider yourself and the Trump Siblings enemies of Takehiko Naoki!" Naoki shouted out, letting go of his trap and pointing at the man who hovered with his arms crossed. He smirked and began to laugh through his teeth "Shishishi. We have long been enemies of you. Its nothing new" Skunk One said, then before Naoki could react he saw Skunk one fly straight into him and push him backwards and towards the ground. "You don't waste any time do you?" Naoki said, pushing Skunk One off with his foot.

Skunk One went flying off to the side, spinning around uncontrollably before hitting the ground. Naoki got up from his spot on the floor and brushed himself down. "Is that all you have Skunk-man?" Naoki said, placing his hands firmly on his hips. Skunk One got up from his landing zone and coughed up some dirt, no longer a smile on his face which made Naoki smile. Skunk One decided to make the next move and turned on his Devil Gas once again and sent himself flying towards Naoki, as he arrived closer, kicking out towards Naoki's head.

Naoki guarded against the attack by putting up his arm to cushion the blow, Naoki was forced to the side slightly but he was stronger than Skunk One and he knew it. To counter attack, using his other hand he threw a punch towards the supply of Devil gas strapped to Skunk One's back. If it had been any other punch then Naoki would have been feeling a large amount of pain in his fist, however he was a master of Futae no Kiwami and it shattered the canister. The thing that Naoki didn't expect to happen was for it to explode.

It was a relatively large explosion as the Devil gas canister exploded, as Naoki saw the reaction he hid his own canister away from the blast, it may have turned ugly if he left it out in the open like that. The blast sent both Naoki and Skunk one flying in opposite directions and sent into the dirt. Naoki attempted to roll up into a ball, the canister of Devil Gas situated at his core. He flinched as he hit a rock and then finally came to a stop as he hit a boulder causing him to cry out in pain. However, he was glad that he finally stopped rolling.

Both of the combatents coughed up a mixture of dirt and blood due to the explosion, luckily for Naoki there was little blood so he was fine mostly. Both of them managed to get up, albeit shaking somewhat. Naoki smiled and brushed himself down, wiping the dirt from his shoulder he began to walk over to Skunk One and finish the fight, when from behind him came the sound of calling, both of them looked backwards to see a small boat approaching them, in it were the Trump Siblings. They weren't there to fight, they merely took Skunk One away and sailed off. Naoki was glad of that. Brushing himself down, Naoki left for the East Blue.

Rud had wandered into a remote land away from the crowds of people. His large size was not what the townfolk would have been used to and started to scare them. False rumors went around about him, such as his intentions to attack the village and grind them up into dust. He decided to leave before anything else happened. He found himself near the ruins of an old town, unsure of what it was. As he walked around, he spotted a hunter using nothing but his bare hands to capture his prey. Rud realized his hunger and tried to copy his strategy.

He observed the hunter's strategy from afar, trying not to scare him off. The hunter just stood there looking at his surroundings. He took dirt and other objects in the area and rubbed it all over his body, Rud suspected it was to hide his human scent. Rud copied the hunter, with little success. It didn't matter though, because Rud had lived in forests most his life and rarely had any contact with humans his scent wasn't too notice-able. The hunter who had observed his surroundings picked a place most benefitial to his hunt, a large bush in the middle of a forked path.

Finding a hiding spot like the hunter's was going to be hard for Rud. He just instinctively went for a cluster of trees a few yards to the right of him. He crept to it slowly and carefully so he wouldn't let anyone see or hear him. Once he reached the trees, he assumed a position where he could keep an eye on the hunter while staying hidden. They waited for an hour until the hunter was fully aware of something. Rud had thought he was found out, but the hunter was looking in the opposite direction.

The hunter was looking a rabbit which was wandering around looking for food. It came near the hunter and was quickly snatched up by his ears, stuffed him into a sack, and walked away out of the woods. Rud got the method and tried to do it himself. However, it was another hour of waiting until he noticed a large deer. It was brown, big, muscular body and it had large white antlers. It walked carelessly in what seemed like his forest, and by chance it walked past the cluster of trees Rud was hiding in. Rud reached out his long arm and grabbed the deer. He stepped out of his spot and looked at his catch. But as he licked his lips, thinking of how it would taste, he realized that everything he owned drowned in the ocean along with his raft. He put down the deer, who ran as soon as it hit the ground, and he walked down back into town.

Rud came back to the grounds where he had seen the hunter. When he arrived he say a few people hanging around the area. Obviously they had seen him as well and wanted to "play around" with him. They called Rud profound names and made jokes about his size and girth. "Come fight us you big dumbass!" The leader of the gang shouted out. He had leather clothing and tall, red mohawk. The leader pulled out a pistol and shot it at Rud, the others weren't too far off. Rud couldn't just run away he needed to fight. The men were too low to strike normally, so he needed to learn a way to strike while crouching down.
