As Lucian lay in Kyuki's lap, he felt pain in his stomach. Thinking it was from lack of food, Lucian ignored it. Moments later a screaming pain shot up his left and and he lept from Kyuki's lap. He clutched his arm and shook. He looked down at the limb, looking for damage. Nothing was wrong with him. He looked to Kyuki who could only shrug. Lucian slowly laid back down into her lap and let her continue to stroke his hair; however, the phantom pain lingered in his arm.

Lucian was suddenly cold and disorientated. He felt dizzy and numb in places. Not long after he began to shiver and the pain in his arm returned. Kyuki tried to soothe the shakes with a blanket, but Lucian only felt colder. A few minutes later, Lucian went into almost a seizure type shake. Kyuki grabbed a belt and put it between Lucian's teeth so he wouldn't bite his tongue and tried to hold his body still. Lucian shook for two long minutes then went still. His eyes opened and he looked at Kyuki horrified. "..Am I dying?...was I poisoned?" Kyuki placed her hand to his forehead then took his heart rate at his wrist, neck and inner thigh. She felt his throat for swellings and checked his mouth for discoloration. "You look fine. No signs of poison and no fever." Lucian sat up and started to nod when a headache tore through his skull. He gave a gurgle of pain and collapsed off the side of the bed. He clutched his arm and his head and groaned in agony. He felt like he was burning on the inside, but freezing on the outside. He could feel the blood moving just beneath the skin in his left arm and there was no saliva in his mouth to swallow down. Kyuki sank to the floor and pulled him into her lap. "What has come over you!" Lucian shook and sobbed, overwhelmed by pain and confusion. He could taste blood in his mouth. He closed his eyes tightly and a sudden flash of a disheveled bed with blood stains came to his eyes. "Leo!"

Lucian threw himself from Kyuki's lap. He almost fell the moment he was standing, but Lucian threw open the door and staggered down the hall. He held his head as the pain grew more and more the closer he got to his room. He reached his door and fell into it. The pain in his body was so intense, his vision blurred and faded with the thud of his heartbeat. Lucian grabbed the handle and shoved at the door. The door gave a groan and slid open. Lucian fell to his hands and knees and crawled into the room. He couldn't see past his blurred vision, but he didn't have to. He knew what he was looking for and he crawled blindly through the room until his fingertips brushed skin. "Leo...", he whispered before his body went completely numb and he blacked out beside Leo.

About ten minutes later, some servants walked past the room, giggling about the ball, when they say the Prince lying face down on the ground besides Leo. The girls screamed and ran for help. The medics were called in and they quickly took both parties to the infirmary. The medics took Leo and stitched up his arm while they placed cool cloths on Lucian's forehead. Kyuki came and sat down beside Lucian's bed. No one told her to leave. Kyuki then made a show of moving Leo from his separate bed and placing him in Lucian's bed. The medic's started to say no, but the moment Lucian was next to Leo, his fever broke and he started to regain color. Kyuki placed her rear back on the stool beside Lucian and waited for them to wake.

Leo woke late the next day, his eyes slowly opening. he didn't know where he was, why was everything so dark? was it night? he could feel something warm next to him and didn't have to see to know it was Lucian. his throat was too dry to speak and his left arm ached, but his prince was at his side and all the pains faded away. he rolled over and pressed himself against Lucian, sighing happily and closing his eyes. Dispite it being mid day, everything was as black as night to him, his eyes were open, but glazed over. something felt off and he lifted his right hand to his head, wondering what it was. his eyes opened wide when he felt his hair.

It had been cut short. he could feel layers and it feathered around his head, but it was no more than shoulder length. there was once piece of it that was long, a braid that began at his temple and made it's way down to where his hair had originally been. but why? why had his hair been cut? was it Lucian's way of punishing him? was Lucian trying to humiliate Leo in a non violent way, as a form of punishment for trying to kill himself? tears filled his eyes and he closed them, trying to hold the tears back. if this is what Lucian had decided, Leo would accept it.

((what happened was his hair got caught when he fell from the bed and it ripped. he didn't notice since he'd passed out right after and the pain in his arm overhwelmed. they styled it and left the only part that wasn't torn the length it was at. also the blindness wont transfer over to Lucian, it's just Leo who is blind))

Lucian sighed softly in his sleep. There was pain everyone, but none of it more than a dull or aggravating ache. There was pain behind his eyes, but it was also a dull feeling. Lucian curled onto his side, nuzzling into the blankets that were around him. A gentle hand rolled him over in the other direction. A mass of warmth met his chest and Lucian started to purr.

The people in the room turned to look at the purring Prince, but Kyuki cut them a dark glare making them scurry back to what they were doing. She smiled sweetly and pulled the blanket back over the pair. Lucian gave a low murmur, wrapping his arms around Leo's small frame and pulling it closer, clinging to the warmth. Kyuki got another pillow from Leo's old bed and set it behind Leo's body in case he'd roll over. "Don't want you falling off the bed again.." kyuki kissed the side of Leo's head, brushing aside the short hair again. "It's a shame they had to cut it, but it was either cut it or leave massive sections uneven and unworkable." Lucian murmured some more and pulled Leo directly into his chest, crossing his arms over the smaller male's back. Kyuki smiled and stepped back. "Pardon my intrusion on what is yours my Prince."

Leo started slightly when he heard others around him, and flinched when a hand touched him. "K-Kyuki?" he asked, his voice breaking and raspy. he coughed violently and a small dabble of blood came to his lips. "i can't see you-is it night?" he had to pause to cough again and he grew silent, haivng used his energy to speak. he was greatful for Lucian holding him so tightly, he was cold. so very, very cold.

Lucian murmured again and nuzzled his cheek into Lucian's hair. Kyuki smiled and looked out the window at the morning sun. The doctor looked at the woman and then Leo as he questioned her. The man lifted his eyebrow and Kyuki just shook her head. The doctor nodded and went about his way. Kyuki pulled the blanket from Leo's old bed and tucked it around Leo's body. "Blue is not the color the princess should be less she be wearing the shade in a royal gown." Lucian yawned, flashing his elongated canines. Kyuki flinched for a moment then gently tapped his chin so he'd close his mouth. It clammed shut without a pause. "Must get you something hearty to eat to fill that mouth. You too princess. Can't have you starving." Kyuki went to sit back on her stool, clasping her hands in her lap. "Hopefully you'll be seeing everything again soon..."

Leo shook his head, she wasn't making any sense. "what are you talking about? hopefully i'll be seeing everything-are you...are you saying that i am blind? that i cannot see?" the blood drained from his face and he knew it was true. he was blind. whatever Kyuki meant about the blue and royal colors didn't matter. Leo had never felt so worthless in his life. his hair was shorne short, he was weak and helpless and now he was blind. why he didn't just die and get it over with was beyond him. if he had been able he'd have taken his life again at that moment

Kyuki shushed the frantic boy's words. "Be still thy lips and rest thy aching head. Everything will be fine in the morning. Right now your only concern should be getting well so you may serve the Prince. He is just as unwell as you are." Kyuki wanted to swallow her tongue but the hard grip of the King's hand was holding her shoulder in a vice. She spoke what he wished to hear her utter.
"I will have the best doctor in all the Isles and Lands arrive as soon as possible to have you checked out and made sure to be well. You must be able to participate in all of your training so you may become a proper wife to my son. I will let him have nothing less than the absolute best and your complete obedience will be the only option."

Kyuki swallowed down the scream she wanted to utter. She'd wished the Prince would never return with his bride for she'd freed this would follow. The training. The disciplines. The breaking down of one's self so that it be molded into the perfect, obedient pet that will never raise their voice or their head to their husband. Her loins ached with the faint memory of her late husband. A silent cheer of rejoice rose in her soul at the memory of lying him into the cold, winter earth. Her chest burned with the pain of her son's faint memory. His face was still just as bright as it was when he was holding her hand and dragging her to their little garden. Kyuki tilted her head down, trying not to show the King she was shedding tears.

"And Kyuki will guide you through all of this process. If you can believe it, she was once married. A common house maid born from a low noble's wife. Tis what becomes of poor women when their husbands pass." He squeezed Kyuki's shoulder, leaving a slight bruise. "I'll leave you to rest now. Kyuki will need to be leaving soon to get to her housework." Kyuki rose and left the room without a sound. The King hurmpfed and followed her out.

The room was left quiet for a time before the soft sound of slippers and dress came in. The stool made a soft skid. "Princess? Princess Eva?" Mira placed her hand onto the edge of Leo's bed. "Princess, are you well? Kyuki seemed so distraught when she returned to her room. She won't speak at all. I came to believe you were gravely ill or had passed. Tell me you are well Princess."

I know it's been a while, but remember this is a GOOD kingdom. s**t like this 'training' and 'disapline' WOULDN'T HAPPEN! it would happen in Reta, but this isn't Reta!

You're taught to sew, to speak, to clean, to act, to dress, etc, etc. Any headstrong woman, such a Kyuki when she was a girl, would find being forced to bite her tongue and dress in a certain fashion to be great travesty. How do you expect to have an old world kingdom shaped RP without expecting the old world rules that separate men and women? And what is this Reta you're talking about??]]

what does that make you think of but an abusive enviorment where the women are beaten down. hmmmm, doesn't that sound awefully like Leo's cituation. and why the hell would Leo need this training when he's alreayd submissive to the point of killing himself in order to please his master?

andother point, the king is gripping her shoulder so hard it's leaveing a bruise? how is that even close to being a good king? this isn't a old world kingdom setting, it's an alternate world. Reta is the place with the abuse towards women and putting them down, making them be submissive and s**t. the kingdom they are in now is a good kingdom where men and women are treated as equals, which is the entire POINT of the rp! god damned, girl. i'm quiting the guild. i've given you SEVERAL chances and this takes the cake. i really hope you learn to actually follow an rp someday

Fine! You're "everything must be good and nice" routine was boring anyway. I can get better Rps with others who are willing to tread into darker waters anyway.
