Silence.
That’s what Patrick awoke to, the still silence of being totally alone. He sat up on the edge of the bed, his physical wounds healed in his sleep. Being back to his true strength by reuniting with his darkness was a boon, though one that carried a heavy price.
He sighed, holding his head in his hands, a quite sob escaping his still frame. He knew what she was in for, he had after all tried to do what he could to steer her away, but had properly just added to her sins. Tartarus... Demon Hell. He had visited once, in his youth a mere 400 years old.
The event still scared him.
He stood, and walked towards the window, looking out and starring in shock.
This was their place.
His and his Kittens training home... the place where they spent most of their time together. “Allen.. How? I thought this place lost once we left...?” He spoke aloud, but a small glimmer of hope inside him.
Maybe this was just coincidence but he would use it to keep himself from being depressed. This was the start of his training with Lena, and the good times spent.
Now it would mark the beginning of his redemption. He first needed to get back into shape, and so he turned away.
He had a list in his mind of those he wronged as Master. He would fix his mistakes, he would be what he was once more, when he was truly a Master. Her Master. His Love. And of course, once he could discard all his pride, and stand in front of his son and truly mean 'I'm Sorry' he would ask his help.
One day... he would get his Kitten back.
Even if it meant breaking into Tartarus with nothing but his insane self and his just as insane son.
They WOULD be together again.
It would just take time.
“In the deepest part of your heart and soul, I hope you will remember that single promise I made years ago Lena..”
Ryder knelt next to the adolescent Nekomata as she sat on the porch of the house. “Lena, there is something I'm gonna tell you.” She looked up at him, her green eyes aglow in the twilight of the sky. “Yes Ryder?” He smiled and looked out over the grounds, watching the breeze rustle the leaves of the nearby woods.
“You know how I always leave? But come back?” Seeing her nod he continued, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, making her blush lightly. “Well, their may come a time where we are separated for a long long time, against our will. But I promise you this one thing, and I promise it on my True Name, and as I've taught you, that makes it binding to my very soul.”
He leaned in close, and gently whispered into her ear. “I, Angelus, do hereby swear on my True Name, That I will always find my way back to your side, no matter what stands in my way, be it God or Demon.” She looked up at him, eyes wide. He brushed a few stands of her hair from her face and kissed her softly, knowing even without the invoking of his name, he would never break that promise.
With a determined glint in his eye he walked out into the overgrown field with one thought in his mind. 'Let's get this training started!'

Patrick stood still his eyes closed. Master, come forth! I summon you to the material plane! He called into his mind. Without a reply his shadow detached from him and grew a few feet in front of him.
Master cracked his neck and nodded to Patrick, knowing what he wanted to already. He slid into the unarmed combat stance that they had both used. Patrick slid into the stance as well and nodded as Master charged forwards and attacked quickly.
First step in retraining, Reflex's.
Patrick managed to block some blows, but many got though his defences and landed solid or glancing blows. Okay, reflex's are rough, need to work on that. With a minuet nod Master jumped back and changed from speed to defensive.
Second step, Strength.
With a quick step Patrick threw punch after kick at Master, making him slide back and moan in pain as each hit landed. Right, strength is equal to before, but not near my max. Right, final unarmed step. He broke off from Master who shook off his arms and rubbed his legs.
Patrick closed his eyes as Master backed away. With a deep breath he crouched down and placed his palm onto the soil and focused.
Final Step, Natural Energy Manipulation.
The air stilled for a moment before exploding around him in a fierce gale. His hair whipping around madly as if in the centre of a tornado. The amount he could channel was equal to the amount of control he had. Oh, and could he channel a lot now! He felt his body literally vibrate with the natural energy.
That would be useful when needed, since it would enhance his speed, reflex's and strength. He stood, still vibrating with energy and looked at Master with a smirk. He stepped back. “Oh don't you dare you Bas-!” Before he could finish Patrick flash stepped and landed a violent right hook that caused his head to explode. With that the body dissolved back into shadow and reattached itself back to Patrick.
As the energy left him he groaned, feeling fatigued already. Seemed his stamina was decreased as well. He sat back and looked to the sky. Planning to head east to see if the small town of Nikat was still around.
Maybe a disguise was in order...

Patrick walked into the now small city of Nikat and was proud of what was once a small frontier town had grown. Bloody Hellfire they still had Redcliff Castle still standing near the centre of town!
Wearing a hooded cloak that covered him nearly from head to toe he walked around taking in the sights and sounds of the city, a nice mix of the old medieval and more modern architecture. He soon found a general store and stepped inside, planning to get some general supplies, if he was gonna stay and train he would need food and other bits.
As he went to pay he stopped dead, behind the old man at the counter was a painting.
It was Himself and Lena.
Along with a young man in front of a small store with a 'grand opening' sign.
How did he not realise his feet had taken him, even though the new roads and paths, back to the shop run by one of his few friends who had no connection to his dangerous life?
"Looking at my great-grandfathers painting ey?" The old man spoke knocking Patrick from his daze.
"Ahh yes.. it is a nice painting, I take it one is your Great-grandpa you said? Who are the other two, friends of his?" He asked politely, hiding his face from view as he placed his items on the counter.
"Yup, a Ryder Okami and his Apprentice Lena Yashii, they where big friends to this town back in the day, specially when they went bounty hunting and took out the supernatural around here. In fact, their names still cause fear in these parts, making this city one of the safer ones in the world." He chuckled. "Doesn't hurt their house is near by."
Patrick nodded and he paid for his goods. "That's good to know, I'll keep that in mind." He left, wondering if any other parts of the town had story's to tell of him and Lena. With that he decided to wonder the town and see where it lead him.
