I think people choose to be gay as much as they choose to like a particular type of person.

Some guys like tall girls. Some guys like short girls. And some guys like guys.

It's not my place to lecture or look down on them for that.

unless you can honestly say that you have decided to like guys. i mean made the concious descision to be a heterosexual then why would you assume that anybody actually picks thier sexuality? for that matter when's the last time you "chose" to like any one? last i checked love tends to smack you smack people out of nowhere no matter what type of person it happens to manifest in.

see, this is the reason i left the path, too many idiots in the church. no offence but between that and "it's not a sin to be gay but a sin to act on it" i'm not sure which is the more messed up. Firstly, as we've just established that homosexuality is not a choice and you're faith leads you to believe that God created each of us that would then logically follow that God made gays, which would then follow that God wants gays to have lives that fulfill all aspects of human nature which would include love, family, sex ect. so then if God made gays then homosexuality is not a sin.

in fact now that i think about it every one of the seven deadly sins is either a way of human nature or a way of capitalism
1.Pride- Being proud of everythign you do. being "holier than thou"
2.Envy-tell me you've never been jealous of you're ex's nev fling.(or anything else for that matter)
3.Gluttony-look at the obesity rates in america
4.Lust-speaks for itself sex is an ingrained part of humanity
5.Anger-again do we really have to go into this
6.Greed-the driving force of capitalism.
7.Sloth- please see the reasoning behind sin number 3.
sorry got on a rant there for a seccond.
