Screams of the Dead was gathering her morning meal when movement caught her eye. Looking up to see a white doe, she smiles and opens her mouth to speak. Screams snaps it shut almost immediately, though, when she sees this doe is transparent. "I've got a new ghost!" She exclaims and prances toward the white doe. "I don't remember seeing any dead Kimeti, though... but you're definitely a ghost." It doesn't occur to Screams that there might be Kin around who are simply see through. That trait, to her, is reserved only for ghosts. And every ghost Screams can see is her's.
Screams stops, her attention focused on something unseen. "What do yah mean, there hasn't been a new Kimeti ghost yet? We saw that doe wee-" She stops short, listening again. "Really? Only a few days ago? It seems much longer." She shrugs, appearing to accept the failure of memory. It is a rather common thing to her. She turns her attention back to the ghostly doe. "In any case, I'm Screams of the Dead and it's nice to meet you. Do you know your name?" An odd question when posed to a living Kimeti, but the dead do not always remember. When this happens Screams names them according to how and or where she found them.Gaze of a Spectre, who'd been so lost in thought she didn't see the green doe, jumps back when Screams talks to her. Ghost does not like to associate with others, the fact that she cannot speak being the problem. The best she can do to communicate is doodle in the dirt and most times it is a very frustrating and tedious task. To make matters worse, this doe makes no sense. Of course Ghost knows her name and what's with all this talk of dead Kimeti? Ghost has the sense this doe wasn't even talking to her. But then to who? They are the only two here.
With a sigh Ghost decides she'll attempt to answer Screams' question. Grabbing up a stick Ghost draws two symbols. One could mean look, gaze or view and the other could mean spirit, ghost or spectre. Over them she draws the symbol that means Kimeti, indicating it is her name she is drawing. Stepping away a few paces Ghost draws a Kimeti head, mouth open and squiggly lines coming out (if one looks closely they'll see they are very simplistic and small versions she drew for gaze and spectre) to indicate talking. Then she scribbles over the talking words and redraws the Kimeti's mouth closed. Finally, Ghost opens her own mouth but no sound comes out and points to her Kimeti doodle then to herself.Screams watches the white doe with rapt attention, none of her ghosts had ever done this before. The name symbol, that could be a tough one. So far Screams thinks it could mean Gazing Ghost or Looking for Spirits. But, really, it could mean anything. Maybe she should ask for a nickname, instead. Which she's about to do when the other doe starts drawing again. Screams watches the whole display, then frowns. "She can't talk? What do yah mean she can't talk? We've never had a silent ghost before! What am I gonna do with a ghost who can't talk? Others don't see you all, or hear you all. Only me. Why have a ghost who I can only see?" Screams goes off on a mini rant, talking to empty air.Ghost huffs and walks off. Well even if the doe didn't get her meaning at least whoever she's talking to did. But, really, there's no point staying here listening to a crazy Kimeti raving at thin air. Breakfast sounds good. She thinks and starts off down the path to find some fruit."Hey! Hey!? Where yah goin?! You can't leave me! Your one of my ghosts and they never leave me!" Screams hollers after Ghost, feeling somewhat lost. Her ghosts never leave her, even when they are not visible to her Screams knows they are there, in her head. "Get back here!" She says, starting off after the white doe.Ghost shoots a glare back at the green doe, now more then irritated. She belongs to no one, how dare this other lay claim on her?! Rolling her eyes, Ghost turns away, deciding she'd just have to ignore this crazy lady. Reaching a rather full bush, Ghost starts to nibble at the fruits and leaves, tuning out the words of her unwanted companion.

A buck coated in mud and leaves watched the exchange between Screams of the Dead and Ghost with a great deal of interest, creeping slowly closer until he was nestled just behind a conveniently placed bush. At first he had thought the doe was talking to herself...which meant, surely, she was talking to some invisible being, an enemy of the Swamp...perhaps even a Visitor! But as he moved closer, he realized that, no...there was something there...a second doe, perhaps, only identifiable by the way the trees beyond went funny around her outline, from a distance, but as he drew closer he could see a pale white form. This...this was exciting. There was something there, and he could see it! He could see through it, more importantly! It was definitely abnormal, and clearly this innocent doe needed to be rescued from it. Out There quivered with excitement as the ghostly shape came closer, finally bursting forth from behind the bush as Ghost leaned down to nibble at its fruit. "Aha! I can see you!" he declared triumphantly. "Never fear, innocent denizen of the swamp, I have this under control! You're safe now!" He leaned in closer to the transparent doe and said, quite loudly, "Don't try to run now, foul ghostly shadow! I've got you right where I want you!"

Ghost jumps back as a buck bursts from the bushes, anger in her eyes as she makes a circle to avoid Screams, who'd come up behind her. I should kick some sense into both of them. she thinks as she sits down. Damn fools bothering me.Screams steps back, both to avoid Ghost and to get away from the unknown buck. She was still puzzling out where, exactly, he'd come from when his words hit her. "You can see her?! That's not possible! No one can see my ghosts but me. How do yah have this power?" Screams voice is full of indignation, only she should be able to see her ghosts. Well, and her other ghosts. "And whaddya mean I'm safe now? I wasn't in any danger. She's one of mine and none of my ghosts would hurt me." Her voice slides into irritation, of all the stupid things. First he can see her ghost and now he claims her ghost is a danger to her.Ghost watches the other doe go off, and rolls her eyes. She only belonged to herself, where's this other get off on claiming her? At least she's distracted. At this thought, Ghost stands and walks off as quietly as possible. She doesn't bother with the path, just slinks into the undergrowth once she's out of sight, hoping to lose them both.Screams looks over just in time to see Ghost disappear, she turns back to the buck and gives him a glare. "Now lookit what yah did. She's gone and it's all your fault!" Quickly Screams follows after Ghost, stopping when she gets to where Ghost had gone into the brush. "That's odd.. she left a trail.." With a shrug, after all this ghostly doe seems to be a weird one, Screams follows after her. "Hey! Wait fer me!"

"Hey, I told you I had you right where I wanted you! That means you can't just leave!" Out There shouted after the ghostly doe, but the other doe, the one who was supposed to be grateful for his intervention, was standing in his way berating him. He only heard half of what she said. "Madam, I must ask you to calm down! This is a very dangerous creature on the loose! I know you're afraid, but I can handle this! Wait, stop!" He quickly bounded after the doe when she took off to follow Ghost.

Screams aims a dirty look and a kick at the buck, not hard enough to seriously hurt him if she succeeds, just enough to get him to stop. "Afraid?! Why would I be afraid?! She's my ghost." She says with much indignation. "She wouldn't dare hurt me." Screams says, sounding very much like she explaining a very simple thing to a young foal. Giving a sigh of disgust Screams follows Ghost into the brush. "Hey! Wait for me!" She calls after the other doe.Ghost quietly picks her way through the plant life. Not that she needs too, between the yelling and the doe crashing through everything Ghost doesn't need to keep quiet. She does anyway, not knowing when the noise would die down, if at all. Each step is carefully placed and she circles back around the two, hoping they'll think she went straight ahead and loose them.

Out There stared at the doe, confused, for a moment, then picked up this new thread and ran with it. "What do you mean, she's your ghost?! Are you some master of the mystic arts? Did you summon this creature to rain destruction on hapless innocents?! Wait-" The buck crashed after her, shedding bits of mud and leaves with every step. "It is my sworn duty to protect the citizens of the swamp from the otherworldly menaces that threaten them! I...will...stop you!" he shouted, but he wasn't doing much except chasing a couple weird does in circles.

Screams rolls her eyes at the buck and gives him a dismissive snort. "Hardly. I don't summon ghosts, they just come to me." She stops a moment, watching Ghost wander off, looking very confused. "Though... no one's ever been able to see my ghosts before.. Maybe it is you that is odd." She replies, a scathing tone in her voice. "If you can see my ghosts maybe you can see my thoughts too.. Maybe I need protection from you." She says, sounding worried and agitated. What if this buck really can hear her thoughts. Screams starts off again, almost running in an attempt to get away from him.Ghost too had stopped, curiosity getting the better of her. What if the strange doe was right and the other buck could read thoughts? The idea takes root and creates fear before logic can set in. No matter that Ghost isn't a real ghost, the idea that this buck can read thoughts is too fearful. Ghost picks up her pace as well, trying to get away from both of the other Kimeti.
