Power:
Mako Reactor: Uses liquid Mako to create a nuclear reaction, and produce energy. Estimated at 1x10^5 times more powerful and efficient than former Hypermatter Reactors

GN Furnace: Uses a GN-emitting Materia Crystal to power and propel. However, given its tendency to scramble and jam communications, it has limited deployment, despite its unlimited energy.

Federation Unique Technologies:

Mako: Force Energy is condensed in a chamber until it becomes a green liquid. That liquid is then used in power creation. However, Mako is incredibly toxic, and hazardous to unshielded lifeforms.

Materia: Mako is further condensed until is crystallizes. When this happens, the radioactive properties diminish, and it is safe for unshielded lifeforms to handle. When properly channeled, Materia can either enhance, or gift someone with Force powers, or be used in the powering of Mobile Suits. Given its unusual properties, Materia always crystallizes in a perfect sphere.

GN: GN, or Gundam Neutrino, is an exotic particle emanated from a Materia crystal that has been bombarded with Solar Radiation. No one is sure why, but once the raction starts, it continues indefinitely. GN can be used to power, enhance the cutting ability of blades, generate offensive energy, lattice into defensive fields, propel via field, and cloak from sensors.

The term for the housing mechanism for these devices is GN Furnace, because the Crystal must maintain a high temperature to be active. When the crystal cools, GN dispersal will stop, and the unit will temporarily shut down. When the unit is activated again, the Materia is heated up, and dispersal resumes.

The power of the GN Furnace is proportional to the amount of GN emitted, and thus, the size of the Crystal inside. GN gives off a green light-particle shimmer when unchecked, and can be tinted pink or blue with proper focusing crystals.
