Well, a few years back the school district decided to annex our only high school because they couldn't get a bond passed to build a new one, so they used the nearby middle school and built a new elementary and middle school instead.
this happened when I was in the 8th grade so I had to decide whether I would go to the main campus (the existing high school) or the middle school campus. I decided to go to the middle school campus because I thought the curriculum there was really cool (it's divided into 3 "academies:" Global academy (this is the one I go to because I can take japanese), success academy (for slackers that can't pay attention) and the International School of the Cascades (a really regimented program that eventually leads to the International Baccalaureate program where you can go to any school in the world that has the IB program. They wanted me to go to this one because I'm really smart but it's really limited for me because I'm in band so I decided against it)
Since the majority of the student population goes to the main campus the middle school campus is really small and classes there aren't offered as often as the ones at main campus. I've had schedule problems every year since freshman year but this one really takes the cake.
I've decided to take some IB classes as an alternative to AP, one of them being an all-year 20th century history class with one of my favorite teachers. I got my schedule today and this class and band (it's the highest level band worth honors credits) conflict. I was told I had to make a choice between the IB course and band because the only time that particular course is offered is at the same time as band. This is my question: how do you choose between two completely irreplacable courses? I want this IB class but band is my life. It's so ******** up I don't know what to do. I hate my school
