Sanguina Cruenta
Dracula.
Still the coolest vampire movie ever.
talk2hand Very good movie, but Murnau's Nosferatu (1922), Herzog's Nosferatu (1979), and Shadow of the Vampire (1999) are all better. My personal favorite vampire film is the animated short-film Blood: The Last Vampire (2001). I'm not a big vampire fan myself though, so I have a skewed opinion on the subject.
I do like the original Dracula, however, as the part it plays amongst the other Universal horror classics. Of the Universal horror films, I think The Mummy is probably my favorite, followed by Wolfman, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, and Frankenstein, though, the latter three are all battling for my third-favorite. Invisible Man too is great, though, not strictly horror.
The same (not strictly horror), though, can also be said of classics like the 1920's version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, or the 1920's version of the Phantom of the Opera, both starring the tremendously talented Lon Chaney Sr. Both excellent pictures.
