hotohori's real name is saihitei seishuku(*) and he ascended from the throne of hong-nan* at the age of ten or eleven. he also has an older brother who was once houki's lover before they met^. and his seishi symbol "hoshi" means "brilliance" or "star". and also, he was born at the inner part (palace) of eiyou** in hong-nan.


*hong-nan is the chinese name of konan.
^it's whole story is in the novel SUZAKU HI DEN (suzaku's sorrow arc)
** the capital of hong-nan. though i don't know the chinese name of this place.
