So, i'm going a jazz solo this year, and i'm torn for music >.<

If anyone else who dances Jazz could give some input, suggest a song, whatever, it would be appreciated ^^ I'm 14, looking for a fast, kind of edgy type of music.

And anyone else having trouble with msuic, just post your type, age, and preference ^^

So, my two ideas for songs are Ultraviolet by the Stiff Dylans ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdrFFX2r3ZU ), and Looks Minus Substance by the New Cities. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZeboWzFpCI )

Worried about the slowness of the first song, and possible suggestiveness of the second one >.>

I say you should use the first song! The second song would be good, but I think you could do more with "ultraviolet." I know you were worried about the slowness of it, but you could just double the timing up, if you wanted to. It's also more upbeat to me.. The second seems like just a party dance type thing.

I'd say go with the second one. Just keep the suggestiveness to the level of your audience, and you'll be fine. biggrin

So i happened to have the cd with the second song on it when i went to dance, i ran it by my teacher, and she loved it! biggrin

So i'll be doing Looks Minus Substance for my jazz solo ^^

But one more issue.... costume ._.

I'm feeling super-confident at this point in time, so i really want short-shorts XD

Last year, my BFF and I did a duet to Into the Night by Santana, featuring Chad Kroeger. That was a lot of fun. Very up beat.
