Woodhaven

Woodhaven is a Manor located in the outter reaches of Hayll. It was occupied by the court of one of Dorothea's minor Queens until the purge. It has a main house with enough rooms for the Queen and her first circle along with kitchen, dining room, offices/studies for the members of the court, formal and informal sitting rooms, library/music room, great hall, etc. The rest of the property has servants quarters, slaves quarters, stables, barracks, guard houses, orchard, gardens, and training grounds. After the purge, all that remain are servants, slaves, and a few guards...

Derevar rushed through the underbrush on the outskirts of the property. How could he have gotten so careless? He had let his stomach dictate and had been spotted trying to sneak into the orchard. Frantically, he darted through the trees to lose his pursuers. Suddenly, he felt a witchstorm rising from the depths, hammering at his inner barriers. He dropped to the ground, creating a double shield; Red and Opal. He held on with everything he had, until the storm finally died out. He lay there for a time, allowing his strength to recover. He stood up and saw the guards who had been on his heels. Some once green plants where now painted red. One problem solved, he turned back towards the manor, still intent on finding something to eat...

Elyse Amnell sighed to herself as the Queen berated her yet again on her ability to care for her clothes. As minor Queens go, this one had a seriously over-estimated her abilities and importance. There was a small commotion coming from out by the orchard. She hoped this wouldn't come back to the "Lady" in front of her, or this day could get much worse. She felt something rising up beneath her barriers. A Witchstorm stronger than she's ever felt! She shielded with her birthright Summer-Sky, hoping that would be enough. It was. She rose to her feat. Well, there was no Queen to yell at anyone now. She called in her Green jewels and slipped them on. It had been awhile since she wore them, but she felt that a show of strength might help keep her safe this day.

Elyse went from room-to-room in the manor before checking out the grounds. At the end, she had a handful of house-staff, a few guards, and a few of the grounds staff gathered around her looking to her for leadership. As a Green, she was the darkest Blood on the property, and as a Black Widow, the highest caste. The remaining guards were soon dispatched to patrol the grounds and keep an eye out for trouble, while she and the rest grouped off to clean up after the departed and inventory the supplies at hand.

Derevar stumbled to the edge of the tree-line. His jewels had been drained as he tried to shield against that storm, and his body wasn't much better off. He waited for while, watching the grounds around the orchard. He saw a tall, shapely woman with long, dark hair come out of the Manor and search the grounds before disappearing around the other side of the large building. He could see no more guards. Maybe they suffered the same fate as the onese chasing him? He crept across the open grounds, crawled over the fence, and located a tree heavy with ripe fruit. As he reached for something to refill his strength, he heard a shout. A guard had spotted him! He turned to run, but the world went black...
