Plot:


Dear Student,
Now, let's start by saying: We know all about you. We know how you're different from all your friends, your family. Maybe you enjoy it... Maybe you don't. We're sending this letter to invite to stay at Vex Academy. A school for society's more...talented students of today. You'll be able to meet other people like you as well as take classes to learn how to cope with your differences or use your abilities in a safer way. We certainly hope to see you this fall.

Break Down:

Okay. So, for starters, you can join as a student or a professor. Someone can even be Diane (the Headmistress), because I'm not going to be. Anyway, the students were either born with their..."differences" or aquired them in some other way. Diane started the Academy, because her son died. He was murdered. By someone with abilities. Just like these students. So here's the twist. Diane wants revenge. Her faculty is being paid big money for this and all the professors are working with her. Diane just wants all the "freaks" out of society so they won't hurt anyone. Is that so bad? Yes. Because Vex Academy becomes prison rather than school. All the professors are hostile, the students are jumpy and wary. It's not a pleasant experience. But that will all happen later. For the start of the RP, everything will be running smoothly - like a normal school. The professors are all trained to be perfectly calm and just like any other teacher. But not so much so that they all act the same and it seems suspicious. The students don't realize anything is up and are either excited or dreading the day. We'll start on the first day of "school". You're welcome to do a bit of background to show how they reacted to the letter, got thief abilities, etc. Or if you're playing a professor, you can show why/how they got into this job.

Information:

The Academy:

Vex Academy is a large campus, not just one building. There are girls' and boys' dorms as well as living quarters for the professors. The professors' quarters are between the boys' and girls' dorms and the students must be in their own dorm by midnight. They are checked every night by the professors. Classes are held during they day from 9am-4pm. Classes vary per student, and no class is required. Mandatory tests are ran every day on each student. Blood testing, endurance testing, pain resistance tests, obedience tests. These tests won't start until a few weeks after the "schoolyear" has begun. Breakfast is served between 6 and 8am. Students get a lunch break from 12-1pm and dinner is served at 6-8pm. Tests (as mentioned before) will be held within the hours between the end of classes and the start of dinner.

School Rules:

1.) Curfew is midnight.
2.) No PDA.
3.) Fighting on school grounds is prohibited.
4.) Leaving school grounds is forbidden.
5.) No cell phones or electronics. You will be provided with a laptop that has restrictions. There is no Internet access at the Academy.
6.) Letters are the only thing you are allowed to receive from/send to the outside world. Packages will be checked before you receive them.
7.) You must report to your homeroom class by 8:30am.
8.) Failure to follow these rules will result in consequences.
Students/Professors:

Students come to Vex Academy for various reasons. Some students have mutations, other strange abilites. The possibilities are endless. Maybe they were ecstatic when they got the letter, maybe their parents made them come. Maybe they're looking for a fresh start. Maybe they're looking to cause trouble. Go crazy! Be creative!

The professors all have their own motives for being here. The money? Or maybe they believe in what Diane is doing. Who knows? They've all been trained to use a handgun and various blades. Daggers, switchblades, swords. And they're all equipped with them as well. The students know this. So they're like professors and guards. They're trained to act like a normal teacher but vary in personality so they seem authentic. They are each deadly though, in order for their own protection.

Classes:

As mentioned, classes go from 9am until 4pm. However, they are not organized classes. Students may go to whichever professor they wish for however long they like. Multiple professors may teach the same class, together or seperately. The classes do not run like normal classes and are often held outdoors. They are simple question and answer classes that the professors answers any and all questions continuously. When they class runs out of questions, the professor is free to do any interactive excercises to prove or teach a point. Some classes, the physical ones, are taught like sports, because they are sports. Fencing, archery, sword-play, etc. Those are not taught by question and answer, but questions are encouraged and the class will be told important informatino before handling any weapon of any sort. Classes are more like discussions and are made to accomidate each student's learning needs.
