Jacqueline Bloodstone, also known as Captain Bloody Jack, laughed as she ran through the trees. After a short afternoon spent sparring with some bucks in the glen, she was covered in dirt and ruffled up from some satisfying scuffles. Alas, now the only thing on her mind was coming home to see her beloved angel. "Ahaps I shuld be bringin' me lil poppet sumtin sweet ta make 'er smile..." she mumbled to herself and paused as she passed an apple tree full of ripe, green apples. Running at full speed, she leaped into the air and grabbed one, grinning at the satisfying pop the branch made as the fruit came off. Continuing on her way, she hummed a rough pirate tune to herself, holding the apple gently by the stem. As she stepped into the protected glen Harmony had found for their den, Jack looked around hopefully, wondering if her beloved was home at the moment. "Poppet? Ye 'ear?" she called out around the apple stem, her already intelligible accent probably made more so from the apple.

Harmony D'Angelique was a creature of those in-between hours. The times when the sun sat on the horizon, where day faded into night, and night back into a new day, where mists shrouded her form as she felt free to move, ethereal and elegant, down the trickling paths. It wasn't unusual, then, for the hind to be asleep during the days when her beloved would be out. As Jack approached the den, lain in the forest where the greens kept it cool and occasional rays of sun fed the pastel-colored flowers--save for the moon flowers who, like the blue doe, lay asleep. The familiar voice, however, brought Harmony from rest and her golden eyes blinked awake. A smile crept onto her face as she lay, unmoving and waiting. "Yes, my heart," she called, voice faint and velvety, "I lay awaiting."

Jack winced slightly as she heard the slight sleepy tinge to Harmony's voice- so excited had she been to see her beloved, she'd forgotten about her usual nap during the day. Slipping through the last of the underbrush, Jack paused and dramatically dropped the apple as she set her eyes on the resting blue form, "By Neptune, junebug... ye get more butiful wit ever passin' day, I swear it by me own crooked 'eart!" As if that were even possible... Jack was convinced that there was no hind on the planet that could compare to Harmony's elegance and grace. Stepping back, Jack shook the dust and leaves out of her fur before coming back and settling down next to Harm's side, tucking around the smaller form. "'Awaitin' me, poppet?" she asked quietly, licking the gentle hind's forehead and relaxing so intently that she almost forgot the apple. Blinking out of the love-filled haze, she grinned and pulled the fruit closer, so Harmony could have it whenever she wished. "Dream 'o anyting?"
