Batou and The Major.....lovers?

This question has been bugging me since the dawn of GITS and I've got my opinions about it but I'd really like to hear what other people have to say about Batou and Kotoko being lovers. If you have proof that they are, it is fine by me. Just make sure, if it's from an internet article, not to stretch the page. Let the discussing begin!

They really do make quite the couple considering how much bickering and fighting happens between the two. They seem like total opposites. But I guess opposites do attract.

Well, yeah, I can understand that part. But, I mean there are alot of signs throughout GITS: Stand Alone Complex that actually hints at a romantic relationship between the two. This isn't really evidence or antyhing, but the last episode of GITS, Batou pressed Motoko into a wall to hide from the spotlight of the chopper that was looking for them. He also returned Motoko's treasured watch. I thought it was sweet of him. It just further proves that the Big Guy does have a heart!

I dunno. I'd like to think that there is something there, and I think there is on Batou's side but I don't think Motoko shares that interest. There have been numerous hints at the fact that he cares for her as his leader and as a friend (or perhaps something more) but she usually shrugs it off. I don't think she wants to get 'involved' with her co-worker.

...Though I wish she would. crying He's such a sweet guy.

I know. I share your pain. He's an AWESOME guy. But, Motoko believes in a line between work and love. She could at least go on one date with him! Just to please the fans!

My god. My friend is so obsessed with the Batou x Motoko pairing. When he shoved her out of the Jigabachi's search light in episode 25 of the first season, she shouted: "Just kiss her already!" >.>

Well we know the major is interested romanticly with women.

However I am begining to think she is Bisexual, as I think there is something subtle between her and Batou.

I believe they are just real good friends maybe even best friends. However, I do think Batou is totally wanting more and I do believe the Major is Bi. mrgreen

Well I agree with Joebob but there are also some things that point towards Batou more so liking her than the other way around.
