-Soft melody drifted across the warm air about the candy colored cheetahess as she sauntered slowly along, body already beginning to pick up the waddling sway that the new weight within her created.
It was only one babe, Shairi could tell already, for late at night when she lie cuddled in against Zimwi she could feel the small pulse within her. The heartbeat that melded with hers and her mates in the silence of the night. But her stomach had swollen grandly anyways, testament to the behemoth hybrid, a baby unlike any other she'd ever seen.
Besides the waddle she seemed no different, smile plastered to her maw as always, eyes watching the unfamilar area with soft interest. She'd never been here before.. but the scent of her kind was strong. Strong enough to rouse her and pull her attention away from her sleeping mate, to explore silently the intriguing surroundings.-

The female pink cheetah may have not changed but Hasidi surely did, no longer was his dopey smile prescent, it was replaced with a more mischevous and excited smile that wasn't as child like. His soul had changed a great deal since then, he no longer felt dumb, or slow, but felt intelligent and often times he knew what was going on around him.
His lasting limp has worsened by travel as well as being attacked by Mafa and the small hyena goon. The left side of the dark red lion was scabbed and healing nicely.
His eyes were blurred as he walked along, it was too early for him to think about anything but food, and of course his beautiful friend, Kari.
His eyes widdened as he saw a large pink form and he assumed it was Kari, "HEY I THOUGHT I LEFT YOU IN THE TREES?"

-His figure was easy enough to pick out however. The 'young brother' she'd felt so drawn to so quickly back in the day, when she was working her way through similarly unfamilar lands.
His name.. Hasidi, yes that was it. Silly, and sweet, he'd showed her about, found her a place to sleep. Not realizing the words he spoke and that they weren't meant for her, she lifted her voice in a soft giggle, coming forward cheerfully, as quickly as her rotund body would allow.- "Surely you can't have imagined I'd stay in those trees for this long. Always a traveler you know."
-Drawing nearer she spotted the wear on his body, but overpassed it simply, for something else touched her mind. He'd traveled this far himself! That was wonderful, just as he'd wanted. Grinning widely she greeted him sweetly.- "Hasidi... I see you've become quite the traveler yourself. That's wonderful. Have you seen lots of wonderful things yet?"

"You're certainly not Kari! Shairi!" he quickened his pace, his heart racing. The creature that inspired him to travel was ACTUALLY infront of him. He didn't think he was much different from what he started out as, maybe he had grown a little wiser, and started to nkow alittle more about the world. He was still of course, little brother material.
"I can't believe it's..it's you!" He giggled like a child and as he approache her. His eyes widened at the weight she had gained and he was unsure what to say.. maybe she was just fat?

-A happy little murr rang from her as he drew forth a little more excitedly, her own tail twitching with soft satisfaction.- "I'm surprised to see you this far out too. But it's a very welcome surprise!"
"I'm so glad I decided to go for a walk, instead of just waiting around while Zimwi slept. What a lucky turn of events."
-Brillant smile touching her features, she settled herself on the ground before him, excitedly bubbling.- "Tell me, where have you been already? What have you seen? I'll tell you about the beautiful endless waters!"

He sat down, shifted his weight lightly from one side to the next until he was comfortable and then he began to speak, and this would be the most Hasidi has ever said in his life;
"I came to The Pridelands first were I met a young man named Ezeoha, and he was a l-a-dies man, and then from there I met another young man in the pridelands. I traveled into the grave yard as well, the large rocks there are really spooky," he paused for a breath, " I was attacked by a large female and her terrible brat, but before that I met Kari, and god do I love her," a blush," she's my new best friend, she is pink and white, and a cheetah! I wandered into the graveyard on accident and was attacked, Kari saved me by helping me clean all of my wounds," he stopped abruptly and looked up at her excitedly.
Ahh, adolescents, you can barely understand them, but it was all the truth. Now he was with a young pink cheetah of his own. And he secretly fantasized about them starting a family (even if he didn't know exactly how that worked) and going back to see his mother. He had left the Kusini lands on a whim, thinking that if the pink cheetah before him could travel, so could he. He also wanted to find his original birthplace, the Kusini was his true home, and this new place he may find…well he'd think about that when the time came.
"What is endless waters?" Poor Shairi will have to take all of that information in, and then explain the waters.

-She listened with soft interst, ears perked forward to catch each word, nodding softly. She'd been by the Pridelands, never into the graveyards, though she'd passed near enough to see them.
A soft look of worry touched her face however momentarily. She'd always been fast enough to get away before she could be attacked. However if he had someone to take care of him.. well then he probably wouldn't get in as much trouble again.
Nodding softly at the resolution of his story she started up her own, leaving his question unanswered for the time being.- "I see! Very exciting. And how wonderful that you have a travelling companion! I do too now actually.."
"When I left I headed back towards the southlands to see if I could find my parents. But I ended up getting injured and being unable to walk. Thankfully a sweet lion saved me.. and took care of me until I was better."
-She trailed softly, whistfully, for it seemed that see had that same notion as him, despite her age.- "We visited the jungle and then we set out on the long journey to see the neverending waters. It's very very far, past all the other lands and unlike anything I've ever seen."
"The plants are different, green and tall. The ground isn't firm at all, but shifts beneath your paws all the time.. making a very soft bedding. A soft wind always tugs off the water, and the water streches further then you can see. All the way to the sun in the evening."
"And that's not it! The water itself is strange.. you can't drink it, but it sways back and forth and moves on it's own. And the strangest fish you've ever seen live there too!"
"I plan on going back when the time comes to have my cub, but I got a little restless and wanted to move around before then." -She glanced down to the bulge in her stomach, giving a gentle lick to the pink fur.- "I hope the little one enjoys traveling as much as Zimwi and I do."

The adolescent male seemed to completely ignore the comment about the water and the world changing, he was baffled at the fact she was going to have a baby. What did that exactly mean? Was she going to find one like Tisha found him? His amber eyes shifted looking up at her confused.
She seemed happy, and he did not want to 'rain on her parade' but he had a few questions that he needed answered. The time to ask about the trees and ground would come soon, but right now he was enthralled with the baby idea.
"where do babies come from?" a lump was in his throat and his voice seemed garbled and unmistakably childlike, "Tisha says baby's are falling stars...but you said you and a lion found a cub?"
He shifted his weight sitting in front of her, his mind whirling with the thoughts, baby, traveling? Sand, trees…? A sigh escaped him and he looked away from her.

-She waited to see his eyes light, the soft excitement on his face that she recalled from their meeting before. But when it didn't come, and his mind switched so swiftly she couldn't help but giggle a little, trying hard to keep it polite as possible.
Ohhhh 'little brother'... what a silly little thing he was. And he didn't even know about babies? Well.. then again he had been adopted. Smile widening, she wrapped her tail gently about herself, explaining with a soft muse.- "Oh no.. we didn't FIND a baby. Though many cubs that lose their parents are found by others. We made one ourselves."
-She pondered over whether or not to go over the whole skematics with him, curious eyes looking over his body. He was certainly old enough.. but.. what an embarrasing thing to tell about! But she oblidged nonetheless.- "Boys and girls that are old enough can make babies together. And after they've made the baby it grows in the mother's stomach until it's ready to come out."

Hasidi was late in his adolescence by most standards and nearly a "man" but that did not take away his naivety, he was still just a child, sheltered and lonely for the most part. After meeting Shairi and hearing of the world that changed, and now? Well now he was hearing about making babies.
"Alright..." he wrinkled his brow looking at her confused, " I..well.." he puffed out slowly blowing his awkwardly long mane from his eyes.
"What is the water that goes on forever? And soft ground?" His eyes glittered excitedly, the confusion disappearing completely, if one looked under "attention deficit disorder" you would find Hasidi's smiling face. In the back of his mind he thought of what she said, and also thought of asking Kari if she wanted to 'make' a baby with him, she certainly /was/ pretty!

-She was relieved to say the least that he hadn't continued on to ask exactly HOW the babies were made.. thinking back on the process herself brought heat to her cheek, a blush thankfully hidden by pink fur.
Murring gently at his question she tried her best of explain.- "The water goes for as far as you can see, all the way out to the sun in the evening.. and like I said it moves and sways. I'd like to see on the other side, but I don't know that I could walk that far.. and Zimwi isn't a big fan of the water."
"And the ground.. it's kind of like dirt.. but for some reason it isn't packed hard down like the dirt you usually walk on. You can see each little piece of dirt, and they all move seperately so your paws sink into it a little when you walk. If you dig some of it out it makes a really nice and cool sleeping spot as well."

"I want to see that place too, how do you find all of the beautiful spots? I found the pridelands, and the graveyard..and here..the only thing beautiful here is the cheetahs," he blushed. He'd grown of course, grown into a young man and being near some of the cheetahs made his cheeks burn and a lust inside of him grow.
"I want to ask Kari to go so many places with me, like the water and back home to meet Tisha and my sister," he smiled eyes glittering with excitement.
"Are you going to take your cub traveling with you?" He thought about starting a family with Kari, but could you really travel with a little one?

-A soft amused giggle touched her, and she answered with a soft and singsong muse.- "I'm just lucky I suppose. I let my feet carry me wherever they please. But sometimes I'm told of places too. The waters I was told about. They're far past the pridelands. To the west as far as you can walk."
-Her pink and white tail began to twitch softly at his words, a soft joy touching her. Before Zimwi she'd known nothing of love.. and probably would have thought him just silly.. but ever since having felt the feelings herself.. well she wished them upon everyone! Everyone should be so happy and lucky as herself.-
"I'm sure we'll spend a few weeks at the beach after she's born, but we do plan to travel. I couldn't keep cooped up in one place for long."
"Luckily Zimwi is strong enough to carry the cub when it's feet should tire. So we plan to so the world to the little one." -Her gaze dropped affectionately to her stomach as she spoke of the little life within it.-

"I...umm..I'm very happy you found someone that you love, and I would love to meet your cub once she appears," he beamed, he liked seeing Shairi as the happy mother. He had not confessed his love to Kari, but if Shairi was this happy as a mother, and in love, could Kari be too?
"Well, you've told me of places, and I'd like to visit some of them," he giggled like a child.
An idea dawned on him, what if he had cubs as well, they would probably look like Shairi's little one! "If I have a family one day, do you think our cubs could play..?"

"Of course! I think they'd be good friends. And if you're traveling too, then perhaps we'll bump into each other more often." -She nodded strongly, feminine purr rippling through her throat as she lifted herself to stand.-
"It's a promise!"
"But for now..." -Her eyes drifted softly towards the distance, soft smile touching her maw.- "I think I ought head back. Zimwi will be waking before too long, and I don't want him worrying about me when he does."
"I shall see you again soon right?" -Her tail flicked gently, a confident smile settled upon her. She asked the question, but she already knew the answer. Even if she had to hunt him down herself, she'd make sure that they met soon. And perhaps by next time, there would be a little one in tow.-
