Don't you remember the exitement of waking up early every morning just so you can see if the letter of the week is the letter our name begins with (aka OUR letter)?

I used to watch Sesame Street all the time The one in the bin scared me though, and Big Bird was rather scary as well

I never thought about the letter thing really xd but I did love sesame street xd My mom, being a teacher at the time, actually did reseach which proved the show made kids more hyper, and since then supremely active shows (loud music, loud voices, viewer involvement etc.) have come arround
What I really love about this show though is something that I didn't know untill relatively reciently. Not only is it shown in virtually all areas of the world, but the show is adapted to suit different cultures, social structures, living conditions etc. There are some of the same characters, aswell as completely new characters. The Sesame Street shown in Bangladesh for example is different than the one shown in America, which is different from the one shown in Israel. They had a documentary of Sesame Street on tv that I was really interested a while back... but my parents made me go to bed and said they'd order a copy through the station xd (which you could do). Of course, I haven't heard of it since rolleyes
I can't belive cookies are now a "sometimes snack" for cookie monster Oo. And poor Oscar sad

That's one of the things that made the show great: it's versatility.
"Sometimes snack"!?!? That's like butchering what Cookie Monster stood for. I know it's supposed to promote healthy living and such, but really.
Take a look at my school for example. location: Waterfoot. In the canteen, they no longer sell chocolate or sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks etc. and I'm all for that; but when they make us do Geography fieldwork and take a minibus from Waterfoot to WATERFOOT......
Off the subject, but none-the-less relevant.
A very vivid memory of Sesame Street was the touching episode that covered the death of the creator (whose name escapes me).......... crying

I do however own a videotape (heck yes, one that goes in a VCR! XD) that was about night and bed time XD aww, Big Bird can't go to bed without a teddy bear, who can't go to sleep without another plushie, who can't go to bed without the stuffed rabbit etc. this goes on untill his nest is filled with stuffed toys xd
