Holly Nylos When she spoke of good his stomach have a loud growl and he looked down at it like it had grown horns or something then chuckled. He was hungrier than even he thought. Thanking her for the jerky he took a small bite and smiled. It was good. When she took his hands in hers he felt.... shy? Embarrassed? A little of both?
"Well. Since returning home for the little princess party I realized that I had rather strong feelings for a member of our pack. Zuli my friend a feel in love and didn't even know until seeing her again. I have started feeling unsure about myself in how to court her. She is somewhat.... how to put it.... emotionally detached from men as a whole. But I know her feelings are as mine. I've never courted anyone before nor ever taken a real interest. What do I do?"
Heise looked genuinely unsure of himself. He had no idea that she had feelings for him beyond friendship. He called his friendship with Zulieka dearly. She was one of his best friends even. He suddenly started to laugh at himself.
"Oh Zuli! I must sound like some love struck pup to you asking how to court a female such as Xylia. I apologize my friend. I did not mean to sound so foolish. I have never felt so unsure about anything and I do not know if she has even told anyone. Perhaps I should ask her father for advice as well? What do you think I should do, my dear?"((Oh. I remember. Thought about leaving it with the first dialogue but then thought..... MORE DRAMA! BUAHAHAHAHAHA! dramallama twisted )
"Xylia?" she gasped confused and her heart still continued to beat rapidly. "How could this happen?" she thought to herself. "And of all people one of...my-my tormentors..." she said to herself sadly. Zuleika stood quickly allowing her hair to hide her face. "I can not help you Heise..." she said upset and began to walk away.
(( The idea is for him to ask and than she'll tell him. lol. ))

"Zulieka! Wait!"
As soon as she got up Heise knew something was wrong. He didn't know what he had said to upset her so. Maybe something had happened between the two? He'd never have guessed that his friend actually had feelings for him that he didn't know about. He jumped up to his feet dropping the remaining jerky she had tossed at him earlier and went after her. It only took a few strides with his long legs to catch up to her and he grabbed her hand, held it a moment, then released her looking down at the ground. Why do women have to be so frustrating! His voice was soft, hurt, and confused. What had he done?
"I apologize Zulieka. If you wish to leave I will not stop you. I can see that I have upset you. I apologize for that as well. You are my dearest friend. I did not intend to afflict you in any way. I would like to know what it is that I said. What it is that had happened. But only if you choose to tell me. I will still be your faithful companion even if you do not wish to nor ever do."
His shoulders hung and head cast downward starting intently at a rock. Only when he finally looks at taking a mate and telling one of his most trusted friends does it backlash. Why did this happen? He lost the friendship and trust of another dear friend that Zulieka reminded him of but in the opposite scenario. They had been promised to each other as infants. They grew and trained together everyday. The strongest their people had to offer. When he told her he did not wish to marry but to remain as eternal friends and partners it broke her heart. She had fallen in love with him as they grew up and he did not feel the same. Realization dawned on him then. Did Zulieka have feelings for him just as his one betrothed had?(His gentleman way of asking, without actually asking. Lol)

"Oh Heise. I feel you are love blind..." she speaking to him without looking at him. "But seriously who am I to tell you? Who to love and who not to love? It isn't right. I am just a silly girl who has silly childish feelings for her friend. It's silly and childish to feel envious. Because if it had been anyone else. I would have been happy for you. She is beautiful. Yet, she and her companion have yet to apologize for tormenting me." she explained. "Did you know since you left I had to remove myself out of their dwelling because they dislike me. They have played cruel childish jokes on me. Several times Lulu had to interfer and scold them. When they claimed all they were doing was having fun." she continued to explain. "And because I favor Artemis over Procya. Procya was always harsh to me and Artemis has befriended me as you have. Without judgement or torment. I don't know why the rest of the pack is so blind of Procya's harshness toward those inferior to her. She encourages them to act as they do because of their background. Psh. It's sick."she growled. Zuleika hasn't vented to anyone about growing up along sides the heiresses and amazons. She didn't expect Heise to understand and she was ready to lose his friendship for disapproving.
"I apologize. If I spoke ill of the woman you wish to court. I never said she wasn't kind or worthy of such an ideal. I just caution you and wish you luck." she said transforming into her wolf form ready to leave.

He remained quiet listening to his friend. So it was just as before. He would lose another to his own detachment. Hearing of how she had been bullied and tormented did make him uneasy. Much had indeed changed in his absence. He loved both the princesses dearly yet his favor did sit with Procaya over Artemis. Looking at how she was ready to run from him it hurt his heart. He loved her as well, but differently than Xylia. Moving cautiously he walked around to her front and knelt down. Trying to look her in the eyes he held out a hand gingerly above her head. Slowly he lowered it and caressed her neck and ears. With his other hand he curled his fingers and gently pushed her fury chin up to look at him. The hurt was clear in eyes. But he was also afraid of losing her friendship. He trusted her as he does the alphas. As he did Faith.
"My dear, you are many things. Silly and childish are not among them. Not in this regard at least. Zuli. I am so very sorry for not noticing your feelings and having to endure such hardships. The heart is such a fickle thing. I have never truly understood them myself. Have I ever told you that I was once betrothed before I came here?"
He already knew the answer. He hasn't told anyone here that. As reluctant as she may be he knew it would surprise her. Perhaps knowing how he felt of his friendship and what it did to him when he lost her would help. He sat down cross legged add he had been when she cut his hair and poor his hands in his lap. It was her choice if she wanted to stay and listen. He wouldn't stop her.
"My clan is unique. We forge bonds that can not be broken. Except at great expense to both who have entered into it. Much like a contract between our very souls. When I was born there was female born at the same time. Our clan thought it to be a sign and we were promised to each other. We grew up together. Trained together. We're did everything together. Our bond formed and grew stronger everyday with either of ever being aware of it. Traditionally, a year is used to prepare for a wedding since I was the clan heir. When we were told it was nearly time to ready ourselves for the preparations I found that I had no desire to do so. She was more than half my world. I loved her more dearly than any creature. Not in a way that was needed to be marred though. I love her as part of me yes, in friendship alone. I did not feel anything romantic for her. I never knew she had loved me all those years. So when I told her my feelings it did not just break her heart, it shook her very soul. And mine. It severed our bond nearly killing both of us. She had despised me since that moment, her hatred made me an outcast among my own people. My own family. I lost the person most dear to me forever that day. When I came to this pack I found that I was able to still create such bonds. Although not near as strong. Zulieka. You and the alphas are my dearest friends now. I do not wish to lose any of you. You mean so much to me, I am sorry it is not the same as your feelings. But I do not wish to lose another who I do indeed hold in my heart. Do you understand?"
As he sat there his feathered companion flew to his shoulder. He lifted his finger and massaged it's head. The only one he had bonded with that it could kill him if severed. Their bond wad unique to any other that he could forge. They would not age past what he looked now. Nor had he for many, many years.

"My friend. I don't ever want to deny your friendship like her. Just because you do not feel the same for me. My loyalty toward our friendship is much stronger than you can imagine. Besides Artemis." she smiled. "But I fear our friendship might become distant because you wish to pursue Xylia. Xylia, is indeed a lovely girl but she shows her loyalty for Procya. Procya finds me weak. I am not but she does. Therefore Xylia and her companion Bellatrix find me inferior to them as well." she explained. "You have always been a favorable guest amongst the Moon pack despite your past. I doubt you'd truly understand my pain and I know my friend. Whether you care to admit it or not. You also favor Procya." she claimed. "Why must any of us favor either heiress. Why can't we just accept the decision of our Alpha's when the time is right? I believe the decision before us might tear this pack apart." she shared. "This is my opinion of coarse but I doubt Procya would go quietly if she wasn't chosen. But because she is highly favored she will be alphess." she stated. "Do you truly believe she will be as equally kind to Artemis once she is alphess. Like her parents wish her to be and make Artemis her Beta. I think not. I know she wishes to belittle her. Make her more like a jester than her allie." she said pacing and sharing her beliefs with such passion.

He enjoyed her embrace as relief washed over him. He was more than worried about losing her. He had been terrified. What would he have done if he lost another friendship like hers? It almost made him laugh that he thought so little and weak of their friendship. As old as he was the man still had much to learn. As that is part of life. Although she did have a valid point. If the fission between the sisters was an strong as she said then their friendship would indeed seem afar if he followed his heart. One thing he did not agree with anyone's opinion on was the next heir. Although he had kept it to himself. So far.
"Zulieka dear, afar or up front you will always be my dearest friend. Alas I cannot tell of what the future holds for any of us. If we do indeed grow apart know that I will always hold you within my heart. Xylia cant take that from me. There is much she can and still needs to learn. Just as I. As do we all."
Her pacing did make him chuckle in the end. Reaching out a hand he tugged on hers as she passed by looking up at her with a raised eyebrow. Now she just looked silly. But he admired his friend for her loyalty and passions. She was indeed a great ally to young Artemis.
"I think you are the only one who figured out that I do indeed favor Procaya. Though I doubt for the same reasons others do. She is indeed strong. Strong enough to lead a pack of her own one day. Her ambitions will not survive here. Moon is accustomed to leaders like the ones we have now. Those of compassion, as Artemis holds highly. Procaya was once like that as well before they left to become adults. I need to spend more time with the girl to find out what has happened. Perhaps her desire of strength is for some way of proving to herself just as much her parents and everyone else here that she can indeed be strong for us when she is not of our alpha's bloodline. I think she is a little jealous of Artemis and that is why some of this has happened. I favor her for the simple fact she reminds me of a beloved little sister. Artemis is just cute and sweet."
He winked at his friend and held a finger to his lips as if saying his words were a secret. He didn't want the princesses to know that he favored one over the other. As they grew he had gone through great lengths to treat them equally. When the decision came he would accept it no matter who it was and he would help guide them as he has done their parents. Artemis would be no jester as long as he was around. That he would make sure of. Her skills were too much of value even for Procaya to ignore. Thinking of all this made him realize how much he actually had been missing the two darling girls. It was time he went and saw them. And looked for his hearts one love.
"Speaking of the princesses. Where are they? I have seldom seen them and I do rather miss seeing their darling faces."

"Oh, right. Today Artemis and Procya are training pups. It is that time of year again and Akela had them agree to participate in being a part of pup training." she explained. "Lynn, Clover, Reenha, Night, and Magnus. Yup, all grown and ready for this new stage in life. Oh, Magnus is Procya's nephew. I heard she had no idea of his arrival. I wonder if he is as power driven as her?" she wondered in curiousity. "They are over at Crescent." she shared.

And that so many were preparing to leave them for a season he too should go and watch their progress. As an adviser he would need to know what each were capable of for when they returned. But also to counsel each of them before they left as he had with all the others before venturing out on their own. His smile spread wide across his face in remembrance of all that he had spoke to before they left. Even that of his dear princesses. He wondered if they had ever received his gifts at their party all those months ago. He would have to ask about that. Heise looked to his friend and held out a hand. It was easy to see that he was excited about seeing the girls again. And the progress of the pups as well.
"Shall we travel on two feet or four, my friend?"

"Let us travel on all four my friend." she jumped and transformed into her furry four legged self dashing off into the forest toward Crescent Center.(( My apologies for posting so late for Zuleika. I kept putting her off. But now we shall continue. You can continue your post here or there.))
