"Y-You monster!" Carmen shrieked, pointing a shaking finger at him.
"What? It was going to eat us anyway...and besides...it's a waste of good food," Dusk convinced her.

"Carmen chill it would be for our own safty" Sereanty said as she put a hand out in front of her. "these things is there any was to kill them" Sereanty asked eyeing her sowrds which lay on the grownd. "or are they invacable" Sereanty asked Dusk.

"No....They're not. A slash to the throat will kill them, but they're lighting feathers are deadly if you touch them," he said, tapping the hilt of his wakazashi.

"but the how do you eat them" Sereanty asked Dusk her cuerosity geting the better of her. She looked at her swords hopeing that they two would be enugh to kill one of those birds.

"Well, you burn the feathers...then eat it. And I guarantee, it's better than any chicken you've ever tasted!" Dusk mentioned. "Of course the feathers make great weap---."

"Oh, good I was just getting hungry." Dusk stared in the direction that the noise had come, and unsheathed his twin katanas.

Sereanty uttered a scream and dove for her sowrds. She soved on in to Carmen's hands and held one out in front of her. The big bird cam fly towrds her She screamed and put the sowrd above her head she cut open the belly of the big bird just enugh to injuer it.

"Sereanty, I can't use a sword!" she cried; dodging the Rakh's sweeping talons. Carmen shut her eyes tight and randomly swung the sword through the air. Rugghhh-SHING! The sword had hit something hard, and buried itself into it. "Hey! I hit----a tree..." Her blade was wedged deep into a hollow stump. She tried so hard to pull it out, but to no avail.
"GET OUT OF THE WAY, CARMEN!" Sereanty called to her.
Carmen turned and saw the blazing eyes of the huge bird closing on to her. She immediately withdrew from the blade and fled for her life.
"Die, beast of hate..." Dusk crossed his arms over his breast with his swords behind his back, and they glowed in a dark maroon light. He thrusted both of the "X" positioned-blades forward, and he rushed toward the Rukh. The katanas whiped passed eachother in a split second, releasing a monstrous shockwave of energy. "Chaos...REQUIEM!" The bird was thrown back by the gust of power, and its corpse rammed into the trees. "Our fight is not over..."

Sereanty was gasping for breath when the bird fell. A little bit of blood trickled down from its head. "What the heack was that for?" Sereanty asked reachiving her sword from Carmen.

"Look...to the sky."
The entire flock of Rakh flooded the once blue skies. Lighting rained from their feathers as they rode against the dark clouds. One was larger than any of them...it was the Queen Rakh flying in front.
"They seem to want us as their next meal."

"What happened to the brave Sereanty?!" Carmen asked in a stern voice, as she too had hid behind the same tree.
Dusk sighed, he tends to do that from time to time. "Should I take care of this, Lady Sereanty."

"As you wish, Lady Sereanty." Dusk bowed and switched his glare to the Rakh. "Rakh of the North Wind...may you rest in peace." The thunder birds responded with a screeching howl as lighting trickled from the sky. This time Dusk didn't draw his swords, instead he lifted his arm and let his palm face the Rakh.
