I think I lost the last semblances of the blindfold of innocence when I was in 4th grade. I got walked all over trying to be a nice innocent little kid that year. That however coming before I went into fifth grade was enough to help me catch onto things, but was still not enough yet at that time to make me not grossed out by the class we had that year. ^_^;
Of course, now days I see stuff like that all the time and it doesn't gross me out -- instead it leaves me panicked I'm going to get cancer or something in some body part I barely know is there and I really would prefer I had removed anyway.

I think I finally dropped my innocent veil in.... 8th or 9th grade >.> I was a bit slow I am not sure why but I was. To be honest I am not sure if I ever would have dropped the veil if I did not go to my dads. I guess that is the one good thing he did for me.

Usually, if you deal with it and view it correctly, yes. 3nodding As I have amended the saying to more correctly, "What doesn't kill you or drive you clinically insane makes you stronger." (so long as it DOES indeed end of course first. You can't learn by looking back at something that never ends and thus is always a present concern.)

Mmm, I think you're confusing "innocence" (lack of guilt) with "ignorance." Despite what the common sayings tell you, ignorance is not bliss and what you don't know CAN hurt you.

I was at least 3 years behind the social curve when I was with my mom.

*floats in* Nothing wrong with being a little behind the curve in social developement. Just lets not be 45 and still doing things like referring in conversation to people your own age to sex as "that, um . . . you know, thing," or "shacking up" (<-- that second one is a true story. By a middleaged guy trying to play the "I'm more mature and wise than thou" card on me while most surely not himself a virgin, he couldn't even use the word "sex.")

Video games are awesome bit we've been talking about them for years, we could at least incorporate other things into our conversations...
