Kaleb followed as quickly as he could, but he stumbled predictably while trying to step over that unconsious guard. It was a big step for a small kid even before accounting for his overworked nerves.

He caught the blond as he fell and picked him up to set him on the landing to the door to the roof.
"Hurry the ******** up Rude ...." Reno's voice carried over the sound of the chopper somehow and into the stairwell.

"Th-thanks," Kaleb stuttered, before wincing at Reno's exclamation. He picked up his pace so he wouldn't keep holding them back, and soon he slipped into a seat at the back of the helicopter without a word.

Rude raised a brow at Tseng who'd taken up the co-pilot seat and after a moment the dark haired one decided it was best to move.
Slipping in back with Kaleb he nodded at the other.

Kaleb was glad for the oppourtunity to sit down, although he worried about what would happen when they arrived back at the office since his trembling had returned, and was almost worse than it had been when standing in that hallway.

Reno seemed to have far too much fun piloting the chopper but at least he could do it well.
It didnt take long to get back to the Shinra building as as the choper neared the building it was obvious someone was standing on the roof waiting for them

If he were in good spirits, Kaleb would have found the trip back to be more fun than the first ride. His attention was mostly focused inwards so he didn't even notice when they approached the familiar building.

He set the chopper down and let the blades slow down as he shut the machine off. Leaning back on his chair he chuckled and looked at Rude.
Tseng slipped from the chopper and went to go talk to Rufus

Kaleb felt the thump as the helicopter touched down, and that served to jar him out of his thoughts. The trip had given him some time to pull himself together, so when he slipped out of the chopper he appeared much less distressed. He only shook a little as he stood and waited for someone to tell him what to do next.

He slid out of the chopper and walked around it to where Kaleb was standing. The little blond didnt look alright and it probably hadnt been a good idea to bring him along but he did need to know what they did.

Kaleb looked up at Rude and offered a short lopsided smile that was weak at best. It probably could have been taken either as a thanks for helping him out, or as reassurance that he was okay now. Or at least he was much better.

He walked back toward the chopper as Reno jumped down. "Kaleb, you are free to return home." He nodded at him before grabing Reno and draging the red-head toward Rufus

Kaleb nodded, and headed towards the stairs, bowing his head respectfully at Rufus as he passed.

((Later that day...))
Kaleb had been able to distract himself in a book for the rest of the day, and some hot chocolate and his favorite blanket had soothed his shaking. He finally wandered off to his bedroom that night and curled up on the portion of the bed that wasn't covered in books, and tried to forget what he had seen earlier so he could get to sleep. It was a long while before he drifted off, but it wasn't long before he woke terrified from nightmares. He had an even harder time getting to sleep the second time, and once again was scared awake.
Not knowing what else to do after a couple more attempts to get to sleep for the night, and certainly tired of trembling in a frightened pile in his room, he picked up the black cell phone on his desk with a shaky hand. He flipped it open, and hesitated for a long time before finally pressing the button to call Reno.
