"Sorry." neo sighed as he half fell from Freyr and walked over to the rabbit and Emelin. He looked at the little creature and smiled, stretching out a hand as if he were to stroke it only to stop at the last second and sit back, content to watch it.
Why can't i just eat it? she sighed, opening one eye and copying Neo in watching the rabbit.
Humans and humanoid creatures tend to become attatched to smaller animals.
Like i am to you. freyr grinned and bit Neo's ear gently.
I suppose. he smiled.
I don't understand these races sometimes. They are wild animals, not there just to look pretty. she sighed, closing her eyes again and shrugging. The large purple dragon shuffled about. Staying still was boring and she could tell that Neo was getting bored too. Although he was better at being still than she was.

Emelin was enjoying the actual company of other knights. Siencyn was happily snoozing on Emelin's knee and the small rabbit was still hiding in Emelin's lap.

-So... where to after we rest here for a bit?-
-I don't know. I guess we'll see where everyone else is going I guess. If they aren't going where we should... then we'll figure out something. Plus I need to figure out something to do with this rabbit... pretty sure it might get eaten if I don't watch for it...-

She glanced to Freyr and petted the small black rabbit. Siencyn nodded in response and closed his eyes.

Neo watched as Topaz and Mel left.
They have a good idea. freyr grumbled.
Go and get something to eat then. neo sighed.
I can't just leave you here. And i don't suppose you want to come with me.
Neo didn't reply and instead just sat, still watching the rabbit.
Freyr growled and stretched her wings. Stay here. she ordered then flew up and disappeared in search of food.

Neo shuffled about, he hated silence almost as much as staying still.
"Can i see the rabbit?" he asked, leaning forward but making no move to take the animal from Emelin.
I wonder where Jager is. the voice of Freyr in his head scared Neo before he realised who it was.
I've no idea. he shrugged. For a moment a deer blinked behind his eyes, sharing the same image as Freyr, then it faded.
I'm coming back now. she said.

.: I really am hiungry, though. :.
.: You're always hungry. :.


They traveled back in the direction that they thought had come, hoping to find Ari, but not searching, really. Mel's nose twitched as he saw a chipmunk. He darted forward, but...

"No. Chipmunk is bad meat."
Mel stopped, looking longingly at the frozen rodent. "But its food."
"You'll get sick, trust me."
.: Fine. :. He snorted a tiny flame to scare the little creature into running.

Topaz glanced to her right. The doe was still there. She had been watching them for sometime.

.: Stop. Barely move, but look to my right. See the doe? See my position? She can't see you. Shrink lower than those bushes and head to the other side of her, and flank her. I'll keep her attention. Just don't make any noise. :.

Mel nodded and did as he was told. To keep the doe watching her, she sat down and noisily began to string her bow.

.: Ready? :.
.: Yes... but my talents could be used for much more. :.
.: More than basic survival? Really? Whats more improtant than that, dearest? :.
.: ... You mock me because you have no talent. :.
.: You're right, I have skill. :. Topaz smirked to herself.
.:You're smirking, aren't you? :.
.: Yes, admitedly, I am. Charge her. :.
.: Now? :.
.: Yes. :.

Mel charged. The doe paniced and fled in the opposite direction, towards Topaz, who caught her leg with an arrow. Her second shot hit the jugular vein and the doe died withing moments. Mel trotted over and tried to start eating her, but Topaz put out a hand to stop him.

"First, we return to camp with her. Then we will" -Mel sighed at this- " say a prayer for her life and death, and then we will skin her. Deer skin is much too useful to destroy. Then we can eat her.

They returned to the group, and sat on the side. Topaz knelt and say a few strange words over the body.

"What did you say?"
"I simply thanked her spirit for her flesh and bone."
"What are we going to do with the bone."
"I'll show you later."
She pulled out a sharp knife and skinned all but the head and legs.
"Ok, now you can eat."
"What about you?"
"I prefer cooked meat."
"Speak for yourself, it ruins the flavor. But to each his own..." Mel let out a quick flame and cooked one of the legs for her.
.: Thanks, Mel. :.
He reply, he was already eating.

Emelin covered her mouth as she yawned and tilted her head to rest on her shoulder. She watched Neo hold the rabbit and awaited Siencyn to return.

-Where are you?-
-I'm in the woods, I'll be back soon.-
-Meaning 10 months from now?-

Siencyn answered with silence and watched Freyr from the trees. As Freyr spread her wings and took off, Siencyn made a leap towards her, attempting a tackle. He went too high and only hit her with his tail as he went up and over, eventually falling into a bush.

Siencyn Came up from the bush and shook the leaves off his head.

-Freyr is no fun... and my aim isn't very good either.-
-Oh calm down. You get cranky too when you haven't eaten.-

He sighed and hopped out of the bush. He sat on his haunches and licked at a small cut on his forearm. He looked around and flicked his tail.
'Now what to do... Fish sounds really good...' He spread his wings and flew through the trees, attempting to find some water.

Emelin shook her head towards Siencyn and saw Freyr come back, looking kinda ticked. She grinned and looked down at the grass, then looked back up to Neo.
"Just hold him and try to show him you're calm and he should trust you."
