Personality:
Sloane is a complex individual set in his ways but as flexible as a cattail in the wind. Taught to be a healer from a young age he grew up amongst death and despair. It gave him a somewhat warped view of the world and made him something of an eccentric and a realist.
Due to insomnia he began eating Bindweed and meadow saffron to help him sleep. And although he knew of their addictive proprieties he found them more preferable to nightmares. Now he can't go for more than a day or two without taking one of the two herbs. They seem to be the root cause of his strangeness, not that he'd admit it. Generally when he takes one of them he experiences a temporary high that lasts about half a day then a period of sullenness, practicality and oddness follows. It's hard to say which is the better state to find him in, both having unsavory parts to them.
But this might explain his strange distrust of soquili that are monochromatic/grey. Sloane seems to think that soquili without colors are not worth his time and dull. This is not a rational decision and he doesn't notice that he does it, but others definitely can by the way he acts. He will avoid them if possible and will hesitate to help them if the need arises. He'd much rather leave them to suffer.
Not that he does. He'd hesitate, but he'd still help them. Sloane has never left a patient no matter how undesirable he finds them. As a matter of pride.
...but with every healing comes a price that he exacts from the patient. What the cost is is determined by whatever fancy Sloane has at the moment. It can be as simple as finding him a herb from the area or as complex as catching him the moon. But until the debt is settled he'll forever remember the name of the soquili and the price required of them.

Relationships:
With Xanti:
Respect and fondness. He has seen the creature take down large prey and admires his prowess. He also feels calm when Xanti's around. He sometimes heals Xan when he has been injured.
With Anomaly:
Friendliness. He likes the little stallion and enjoys teaching him herb-lore and whatnot. If he needs help/a friend this is the first place he looks for comfort.
With Drith:
Neutrality. He knows she's up to something but he must abide to the deal they made. Also he doesn't really care what she's doing so long as it doesn't involve him.
With Whisk:
Intense dislike. He hates how she bases her opinion on no facts and that she is the reason for him staying with the group.
With Malice: Respect. He thinks Malice is interesting and is always trying to test him to see his reactions and solutions to problems.
With Meowth:Friendliness. Originally he was turned off by Meowth's sandy colors but after having a philosophical chat with the feline-soq they became friends.
With Vesia: Interest and Disgust. He loves Vesia's bright colors but hates his blatant come-ons. Also he's attracted to the stallion and doesn't want to admit it to himself.
With Kezia: Interest. Kezia's colorful and thus Sloane is interested in him. Too bad Kezia avoids him as much as possible.
With Mordecai: Intense dislike. He doesn't like Mordecai's personality or his muted colors. He's always trading snide remarks and bites, with the stallion when protecting Anomaly from his wrath.

Basket - Stage 1 Sloane was born to two traveling minicorn healers named Claude and Destiny. He never had any siblings. Foal - Stage 2 Sloane travelled with his parents healing those in need. They taught him all they knew and he proved a quick study in both medicine and blinking. Unfortunately, he saw many frightful things, from patients mauled by skinwalkers to those diseased. Still a foal, his parents made a mistake introducing him to such horror so early. It scarred him and caused the nightmares that would plague him throughout his life. Young Adult - Stage 3 Sloane first started experimenting with bindweed and meadow saffron during this stage in his life and he soon became hooked. His dismayed parents tried to turn him from it but he payed them little attention, already in the drug's haze. He soon parted ways with them and set out into a nomadic lifestyle. He started his healing/price system while he was out on the road. Young Adult - Stage 4 When Sloane came across Drith's group his first thought was to avoid them. Too many black and grey's in the herd. However, he was incidentally drawn into the group when Drith spotted him and with Xanti's 'help' asked him to join the group. Motivated by the large carnivore, Sloane agreed with the intention of leaving later. Once he discovered Whisk's ability to make flowers bloom, his perception changed drastically. With her help it would be easier for him to find healthy bindweed and meadow saffron. Still weary of Drith and Xanti, he waited until Xanti injured himself like usual before demonstrating his healing ability. From there he made Xanti promise not to harm him in any way for 'security' reasons. Xanti did, with urging from Drith who views Sloane's ability with much favor.
