Memai: Never underestimate the stupidity of 14 year old fangirls on the internet. sad Aydee: Ahh, I've never noticed how much literature I've read where that's been the case until you mentioned that. xd Nyo: GAH!! I'd forgotten about that until now. gonk So are you enjoying life in NYC? xD heart They gave us that lecture at my orientation too. I walk home at night every night and I'm always a little paranoid. D: we have these little "police" light sticks that are in big unlit areas where if you feel scared, you hit a button and the spinning light at the top goes off and a police officer or night watcher comes and walks you home xd ;; in other news: Holy crap! A pink dolphin!

@Hoshi--- whee heart
I do like how it changes colors depending on how you layer the tattoos together. I was a bit sad that my blue star was so light, but adding a black one under it made it much beter. ; D @AD--- I've never changed Nyo's hair since I made her. I haven't changed any bit of her head,actually. But I always want to try out the new stuff on Gaia, so I have tons of mules. XD
I think it was something like... don't call for help in general, try to single someone out from the crowd. If there's no one around (rare in NYC), always make sure to have your cell phone out. Just other tips like that.
The only thing that was mandatory in our orientation was a play. It was actually a really good play put on by the students, where they specifically talked about sexuality, date rape, etc. Most of the issues that a lot of schools don't want to talk about. I'll see if I can find some of the lyrics, because they're really funny /and/ informative. How rare!
Psh, you and your lack of terrifying natural disasters. talk2hand
Yeah, I did the same thing. I told myself I'd pace my way through, but that went out the window. It's too addictive.
I'm just fangirling less! I do, I do! : O
@Axel--- I was shown pictures! PICTURES gonk
Yess, I've always loved city life, and I'm never bored. : D Oh jeez, where do you live again? And isn't it kind of more unnerving when they constantly try to reassure you that everything will be okay? Man, I wish we had those Justice Sticks. We have some SafeRide thing, where if you're at one of the dorm at night, a car will come get you and transfer you. It can be kind of useful, since some of our dorms are an hour away, but it doesn't really help if you're say...not at a dorm, but in need of a ride nonetheless.
That's got to be fake! If it's not, I want that as my new pet. * w*

Something about new items on Gaia just makes the inner shop-a-holic in me squeal non-stop. I'm in love with the new empire dresses gonk heart It's my favourite kind of dress and now they have it on Gaia *squeezes the admins*
Nyome >> My parents are... hilarious, to put it politely XD; I think the only reason why they're hell bent on getting me into college is because they can use it as an excuse to stop giving me money and for me to start earning it on my own. Of course, they also give me that, "When we're old and weak, you have to take care of US! Don't be ungrateful, think about the time when we *insert sure-fire story to guilt people* ". Meh, no one said I could depend on them forever xp
I was pretty surprised when she opened up her shop, I saw it floating about and thought there was major art theft going on sweatdrop Her attitude definitely irks me. I mean, I used to think she was a good artist who just so happened to be a usual target for bored people, then I found out about that ConceptArt nonsense she pulled off >_>; Humility is such a great thing.
Regarding natural disasters >> The only thing we get here is floods. And it happens so often, it's as normal as getting your paper every morning X3
Axel >> Fangirls tend to ruin most fandoms for me gonk I used to be okay with KH and liked the Sora x Kairi ship, then I had cranky fangirls note me on DA, telling me that I should shoot myself if I couldn't realise the BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS love that was going on between Sora and Riku O_o;
Ironically enough, after that one note, I had a steady stream of people asking me to draw more yaoi in my gallery DX
AD and Hoshi-kins >> XD! Aww, well. No big. I just finished one commission from a very sweet girl, I'll have it up on DA so you guys could see heart

Quick HnNKnK review (ep 1): Nothing exciting, but rather nostalgic for those of us who squirmed through the first season. The OP and ED songs are pleasant, but they pale in comparison to Eiko Shimamiya's OP from season 1. Obviously.
axel - Books about books (and bookworms) drive me crazy. Why the hell would I want to read about someone reading?
That pink dolphin freaks me out, to be honest.
Nyome - You mule hog! You're the reason Gaia has about 5 billion registered users...and only about 1000 actual members! Bah! (AD capped her mule abuse around 4...)
A play? That's a new one.
Oh, Ohio has its own terrors. They simply don't come from the sky or ground. Try lethal monotony.
I was so thrilled to find out that the manga for Claymore is easily as good as (or better than) the anime. I wish that were the case more often. I checked out the Mai-HiME manga for good measure, and ohdeargod, what a disease-ridden mess. Sticking with the anime, kthx.
Psssh. heart
Memai - Is it one of the newest commissions you have up on DA right now? Your mad coloring skillz makes me want to hide my Prismacolors somewhere in shame. Oh, no, wait. That's already done. sweatdrop
Gaia manages to win me back from outright disgust with clothing updates. Yay for running around in a skimpy digital bikini... And devil horns...

Ok for starters, I'm a big fan of summer time ADs' pixels. Sexy, sexy. heart
Next I took a trip to the city to see the Transformers movie, since I have to because of childhood and such. Movie that bring back memories must be seen it a law. Of course if it's bad and ruins my childhood love then Hoshi will be pissy for weeks. I'm shooting for good though.
Memai-luv - I'm going to have to start checking your DA gallery daily because your art make me smile. (You've been bookmarked) heart
Nyome - I didn't know that the tattoos layered, I just thought they switched which made me mad when I put on the red one and only saw black. Part of me wishes the made them permanent like real ones. Then you end up stuck with it forever and you have to regret you foolish decision. But that's just me.
axel - That pink dolphin scares me, but then again most pink things do.
Ok that's it for me, nite heart
*Edit* I wanted to be sexy like AD xd

Shiro-Chan> *squeeeeeeeeeezes* X3!!! heart Happy Belated b-day? ;_; Axel> I'm also waiting for HP and like my friend Magician (HA!) we're both waiting to get a spot to watch it. I've read the whole set of books published so far because of her... >_> I didn't like the book for the current movie, though. I thought it was endlessly emo and quite static, if not boring. D: The movie looks better... Hopefully it is. Oh and... the pink dolphin scares me too. gonk Memai> Those empire dresses make my avi look fat. D: I dunno why. I love the black one and I think I'll get it soon. I wish there were long pearl necklaces to look all art-deco-ish. cool I'd love to commission you as soon as I find a way to send you the money from here. >_< *lives in a small country called El Salvador* DX AD> Don't feel like a geek all alone... I had my Gaiaversary on June 30th. Let's snort like geeks together! :'D Butbut.... The GASOC is cool, so.. we are.... half-geeks? xD *huggles* You're looking quite IC-like today. C00lz0rZ. cool Koji> Equipable genitalia? WTF? Where did you see that? That's ... disturbing. neutral Hoshi> Are you still looking for that star, dear? <3 Now you made me want another glass of that "screwdriver" made with Mango-flavored Vodka (Finlandia) and orange juice... Mmm.... goooooooOOood. Nyo> I can't imagine you with tattos except for pink, purple and yellow tattoos. All the chest tattoos for females suck so much! I wanted all the roses and I can't wear them because they are not visible! AARGH! That dolphin reminds me of the pink elephants that Dumbo saw when he was drunk. xd Magician> You pata you! XD Use the capital "I"! razz When are we going to the movies? Have you noticed that there are tattoos now? Don't just lurk and join in! whee *has known magician since 5th grade <3333* Anyone who's interested> I feel really proud of my last watercolor thingie, I did a full-body after more than a year... I got a good bribe and I said: "what the hell? Go for it!" So, here it is.

Deuxia - I'm not looking for the tattoo anymore, Nyome gave me one. She's a sneaky ninja.
That picture is really good, if it wasn't for the background I wouldn't have thought it was watercolor. And I also really like the pose.

@memai---- my parents have threatened to do that too. But they know I can't possibly afford a $50,000/year tuition on my own. :'D;;; Yeah, a lot of parents ( especially Asian parents ) do that. < <;;
I went looking in the R&C for her shop, but I haven't found it yet. Maybe I'm just blind. D; What's her username on here, anyways?
Yeah, I was looking at Gaia on Encyclopedia Dramatica and well, just like Wikipedia, I eventually started browsing other stuff...and it led me to a page about her. Just, wow. o_o;
We get floods too. We've stopped thinking of them as natural disasters, so I didn't even count them in. XD
@AD---- I'll cap it when I reach 50, I swear! T___T;; I've only gotten halfway there, so it's all good.
Yeah. There was an article in the Times about it, but other than that they didn't allow any actual recordings of the show. They gave everyone a CD with the songs on it, but it won't play in my computer : (
Oh god. That's even worse. Why do you still live there then? > <
I actually think the anime follows the manga pretty faithfully. I'm very surprised. I don't know how they're going to fit the entire story in there, unless they plan on having more than one season ( which I really really hope they do ).
I tried reading the Ouran HSHC manga, and it was almost torturous. gonk The anime is probably one of my favorite animes ever, but Hatori Bisco just didn't really hit a home run with her manga. It's too chock-full of Japanese/Otaku references, and the flow of the storyline is too choppy compared to the anime.
@Hoshi---- I could've sworn they layered, but now I see my tattoos reverting back to a single shade. I really hope that's just my eyes playing tricks on me.
@Deuxia---- I'm not sure I'd even wear yellow. XD I'd love some really cute pink ones though. Oh oh! like a bunny! I'd tattoo bunnies all over my body if I could.
I know! Our chest tattoos get cut off by the bra. : ( you have to wear one of the bustiers or something else that gets rid of the bra in order to see them.
Ee, pretty commission! :]
@Magician---- Lurking's not as fun as talking. : D
Hm, actually a lot of GASOC members are just art appreciators/friends of artists/ art enthusiasts/whatever you want to call them. And when I joined, I didn't even have an art shop. The guild's pretty open, though the name sounds more specific. XD
And wow, now that I think about it, how many of us are still actively drawing/commissioning? o_o;

Yay, I managed to get the files onto my computer. Thank you, line-in recording. < <;
I just realized I have no idea how to get a direct mp3 link up, so I just zipped them. There's not many songs, since I just chose mostly the funny ones and most of them are under a minute each. There are a lot of other serious and even depressing ones, but I didn't want to bring anyone down. ^ ^;
Here it is!Songs included: Hi! I'm your new roommate, Abstinence song, Plague Song, Lesbians, Affirmative Action Song, Crystal Meth, Study Drugs, Dining Room Community, Advice, Circle.. and I may have forgotten a few. I just wanted to share it with you guys because I think it really was a good show. ( think Broadway musical, but for college kids ) It's not a very big file, so I think it's worth a listen. whee

Nyo: I live in Missouri gonk Every year there's a seminar about safety on campus. Better safe than sorry, I guess. The Saferide thing sounds neat, but yeah, that's kind of useless if you're halfway across town. D: Do you carry mace or anything? My parents go apeshit about stuff like that even though the town I go to school in is full of old people. gonk
Memai: Fangirls freak me out a LOT. It makes me wonder if they'll grow up that way, chatting around conference tables about yaoi or something like that. gonk
Magician: Stay away from Gaia after it comes out. gonk That's how the last book was spoiled for me. Some idiot scanned in the page and stuck it in a post halfway down. So lame.
Deuxia: Lovely painting! heart

AyDee >> Yeah, the latest pink-yellow-orange-limey-burn-yer-eyes-out-KAWAII pics XD My mad colouring skillz has now allowed me to use ridiculously bright colours with faithful watchers giving me their thumbs up while tending to their bleeding eyes rofl
Clothing updates always make me happy D:
Hoshi-kins >> XD *huggles* See, posts like that make me wonder why I could've possibly been intimidated by you in the first place, my lovely femme fatale heart
Deuxi >> Mmm, I think international money orders and bank-in transfers work, don't they? xp I think Gaia needs more retro looking bead necklaces. The bracelets are adorable, but I need my waist-length necklaces ;D And the watercolour piece is groovy, my dear XDD ♥
Magician >> Well, to each his own, I suppose. I just really find her attitude annoying DX If anyone were to give her a constructive crit, she'd cry and scream, thinking everyone hates her and her art which she slaved over for years D: 3 She expects praise from everyone all the time, including from seasoned professionals.
Nyo >> I would know Asian parents because I have my mom for that xd Snape's shop. I'll give her credit for using a completely different name, at least it'll make her haters that much harder to track her down xd ;
Ah, floods. It's almost mandatory for people to carry those inflatable rafts in the back seat of their cars XD It's funny to read the papers and see all those clean business men in their suitcases and laptops rowing through a flood rofl
axel >> I find them a bit contradicting, they're the ones who constantly preach about how no one should judge them, their love for yaoi, gay people and how love is love. Yet when you post a picture of a guy grabbing a girl's booty, they're the first ones to PM you in droves, asking for the girl to have no chest and smaller hips so that it could be a guy :'DD
Active arting/commissioning on Gaia >> I stopped doing art on Gaia, be it commissions or auctions or whatever. I might again someday, but right now I just want to focus on my doujin group and IRL commissions >w<
Safety! >> Pepper spray and stillettoes do the trick for me xp I've mastered the art of running in ridiculous heels. There's a reason I've got long legs and big feet; to run fast and to have a wider range of a**-kicking with these big footies >8D
EDIT! I made a quest for improvement thinger. So if anyone of you GASOC oldbies miss my really old art, here's a chance to wallow in it and make fun of me XD

AD // Deuxia :: burning_eyes MY BIRTHDAY WAS SIX MONTHS AGO! scream (it's okay though, barely anyone remembers my birthday, unless I bid a happy birthday to Axel on here. xd *birthday buddies*)
Memai // Magician // Nyome :: after viewing the Encyclopedia dramatica article of snapesnooger, I found a link on her page that redirected me to a far WORSE person who exists on the internets.....and she happens to be on Gaia too! gonk
this link is not for the weak of heart/mind.... you have been warned:
http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Zeriara
her accounts on gaia are at the very bottom of the article. Still, in my honest opinion, she's over 9000 times worse than Snapesnogger. rofl
Also, my current hair sucks. y/n? :C
Also, I have a severe case of the flu, what we call over here as the 'bone-breaker' flu. I haven't been in Gaia until today, and thought I'd post for the sake of it. wink
Nyome // Deuxia // Memai:: I'll be sure to check out all your links and such. C:
that is all for now. ;C

*slaps Edmund* Get out of my mailbox!
I have discovered the secret to making Oprah's booklist: Write a story in which two main characters have some complicated and dramatic relationship (parent/child, husband/wife, etc.), then kill one of them off. Instant Oprah support. (On a related note: Don't read The Road. Waste of time. Last I checked, running a Webster's through a blender does not eloquent prose make.)
Akahoshi - Raawwwr. heart You are sexiness personified.
Deuxia - GASOC is the coolest place on Gaia OMFG!!1!1
*counter-huggle* Thank you very much.
That's watercolor?! The colors are fantastic! I won't even ask how you managed it!
Wandering_Magician - Wow. I think a lot of us here have been away from the Gaia art scene for quite some time. Or, like myself, away from this so-called "art" for quite some time.
Nyome - I don't even want to know how many lives you're leading on Gaia. It makes me think you're a spy IRL.
I'm not sure why I still live here... There's nowhere else I want to be? In ADLogic, humans are annoying; all places have humans; therefore, all places are annoying. I might as well stay somewhere that's annoying AND familiar.
The new ep of Claymore just came out, and it's still almost shot-for-shot following the manga, which I really appreciate. They changed the character design of Riful a bit; her face looks strange to me. So it goes.
For you other Claymore fans: Is anyone else as in love with half of the side characters as I am? Miria, Galatea, Jeane and Helen are enviably awesome.
I'll steer clear of the OHSHC manga then, thanks.
axel - Fangirls scare me, too. I'm glad I'm not alone on that.
Memai - I wish I were half as brave as you. One quarter, even. All of my old art gets routinely destroyed, as my fragile ego cannot bear the sight of it. o.O You have made great strides, dahling. Kudos.
Shiro -Tch! And you're still complaining? I think mine went unnoticed, too, so don't hurt yourself with indignation over there.
Damn it. Why do I click whatever link people post here, regardless of warnings? Why don't I learn? Furries make AD gag, then flail, then do both while rolling on the floor.
jenna - heart heart heart heart heart heart heart heart heart heart heart heart And that is all I have to say to you, young lady.
