Busty Biohazard Bahamut24 i like Kyo, hes really an origanal when it comes to apperance. If by "original" you mean "really good Kiyoharu cosplayer" then yes, he is very original. I knew someone was going to say that ninja

Uh-huh...well, from what I've read, its pretty hard to defend one of my favorite bands when nothing but newbies to the JRock scene or fangirls are the only ones talking about them...so...*ahem*...
For kyo, and I believe I've said this before, I really love his voice. Yeah, he looks cool, but not sexy. I don't really think he's that sexy. I would personally prefer Kyouka Inugami or someone suave like Gackt or Takanori Nishikawa over Kyo any day. Nah, what I liked about him is his oddly soothing, yet somewhat mellowed, hollow voice. It sounds both like a pig in heat and like some kind of mellow ska singer....mellow...mellow...I like that word...anyway, I find Kyo's voice to be something like Korn meets ska....ska...ska...that's a cool word, too....anyway, that's just Kyo. And my opinion on him is changing with each album, he started off pretty raw, then really overproduced and nu-metalish, but now he's really turned himself into something different. Its not like DoReMiDAN or Lucifer Fiction or any other band I've heard recently. Its not like Kagerou or Kagrra,, though Kagerou comes close. They really stand out more these days, at least to me.
Also, beyond kyo lies what I see as one of the greatest drummers in Japan: Shiinya, a femmie that dominates most of these very masculine drummers around the world. Quiet, calm, I find it hard to see where he pulls all that energy from that HUGE body of his. He can totally just set up himself as background noise but seven second later you've forgetten that because he's just started wailing and it feels like your listening to two, maybe even three drummers in one band. It is really hard for me to describe in words just how much potential lies in Shiinya alone, and I'm a critic!
Toshiya had very good bass lines earlier in the bands history, but up until Withering to Death, I found it hard to notice him in their new works. Now, I find that he is truly delivering some of the most key elements to the compostition of the album, setting up the tone of the song with his bass guitar and letting the others wail around his riffs.
Kaoru and Die are pretty muchly, in my opinion, run of the mill Dueling Japanese Guitarists, but I've never said that was a bad thing, now, did I?
Anyway, I love DEG, but right now, they are no longer my favorite band. I'm really getting into the Inugami Ke and a hot hot hot HOT band called My Chemical Romance. I loved their first album, but this second one really has me guessing as to what the sound is going to be.
Anyway (a word i like, uncase you cizzat teel), that's all I have to say. Myah!

Anyway, he's turned himself into something different, eh? But NOT like Lucifer Lucious Violenue/Fiction...well of course not. He'd have to get a sex change for that. lol I just had to hit that.

I saw the comparison of Dir en grey to Korn + ska and just shut the browser window. Like Kaidan said, if there is one Dir en grey song that sounds anything remotely like ska, I haven't heard it, and I've listened to every Dir en grey album so....
