So Luke helped the kid with something, Meagan thought. Maybe I was right about him owing Luke money. Is he still trying to help him in some way? The thought of his altruism warmed her to the director more. She flashed a bright smile in Luke's direction.

Luke smiled back at her. He settled back in his seat and crossed his right ankle over his left knee. He had seen to it that this theater was built with plenty of legroom. Now, he was determined to make things go smoothly.

Harley stared as the scene unfolded. She then cleared her throat and continued with her lines. ((I'm hoping this is the right line don't be mad at Harley.)) Harley gave Gladimus the oddest of looks and then said. "No, but look here! Don't you know-" She then doubled back and gave a slight gasp. "Oh I say!" She then examined Gladimus for a second.
((If I don't post please pretend that my lines were read, that way Har doesn look like a butthead because she wouldn't read.))

When Luke re-entered, Paige hopped back on stage, chipper to continue.
Sinking back into character, Paige looked scathingly towards Gladimus. "Andrew.." She said, pausing for a moment in incredulity, "Do you mean to say that you don't remember how many children you have?" Paige glared intensely at Gladimus, one hand planted on her waist, the other gripping the script.

Yes, now they're getting into it! Luke thought, smiling his approval at them. Amazing what a smile can do!" He chuckled when Paige read her lines. That's an angryBritomart! They both look like they've got problems with Gladimus in real life.

Olive stood up again, trying to pull herself back into Barbara's character. She stood silently behind the others, watching them as they said their lines, patiently waiting for her own. She memorized the first few by now after reading them over so many times, but still gripped the script [that rhymes o-o]] with intense force, just in case. Whenever she did any productions her script was like her baby. She never went anywhere without it, sometimes bringing it along to places just to show it off, even though no one really cared. Some people scoffed at it sometimes, but they didn't know the true magic and art of theatre.
Patrick watched the performers intently. They only had one male, which wouldn't be very good. He wasn't all that wonderful at acting, but he knew with practice, direction, and experience he could get better. He decided to talk to Luke about it afterwards; he really didn't want to interrupt again. Luke would probably be mad at him for not stepping in during the auditions, but he figured it would just set everyone else off more if he did, so he held back.

He smiled at me! Meagan thought. I think the director likes me, after all. Even before I've had a chance to show my talents. She watched the others get into their part and thought it would go smoother now. She looked at Gladimus, anticipating his line. So many male parts in this play. It wasn't fair. She set her mouth. There are more women than men in this world, she thought. But men get more attention.

((this is really taking a while, I'm thinking maybe we don't have to go line by line, that way it'll go faster.))
Gladimus immidiately looked extremely embarassed, stratching his head and glancing around a little, "Well, I am afraid I--. They have grown so much- er." He continued his line, keeping up his nervous act. It was such a funny part, but he kept himself from laughing. By the time he was finished his face was very red, not from acting embarassed, but from trying to contain is chuckles. "... of course--er--" he ended.

Paige relaxed a bit, thinking after she read the lines that her tone may have been too harsh. But she kept the scolding, matronly feel of Britomart present as she read the next line. "Andrew: you are talking nonsense." She said, speaking in a tone she would use to close a conversation. "Of course you have only one son." She decided to try the next few lines with a tone of motherly-ness, like a older woman disciplining a young child.

Gladimus put out his hand in a 'go ahead' guesture, "Perhaps you will be good enough to introduce me, my dear." He gave a bow of his head, a sheepish but stern look.
