 Alfred "Alvin" Mathis Alvin had dosed off, though it wasn't a good sleep. It was a restless slumber. When his eyes opened, he heard Valentina talking and curled up. He didn't want to move. The bed was comfortable, and it made him feel warm. At least there was something he could count on for comfort. Beds. Sighing, Alvin got up and went to the door, opening it. "Thanks....I guess." Leaving the room, he kept his hands stuffed in his pockets and his head down. Alvin kept kicking the floor lightly, like a lost little kid in a mall. "...Why did you guys make cheese-stuffed steak?" Were they trying to make him feel better by feeding him food he grew up with? The teen appreciated it. At least there were people who didn't completely disregard him.

Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters   "Alvin, I am sorry that all of this has happened, and if you wish, I am hear to listen if you want someone to talk to. You don't have to go through this alone unless that is what you wish." She said softly before she looked back at Alvin. "I though something from your home would make you feel better. More welcome." She said as they made it back to the kitchen. "What would you like to drink Alvin? We have a wide variety of wine and other drinks."

Alfred "Alvin" Mathis It wasn't that easy. Talking to someone who couldn't eally relate to your problems wasn't easy. Yes, he knew that Valentina had gone through something similar, though not as heated, but she was never in any actual trouble. Not to mention her parents would have found her soon enough even without Alvin's help. It was had briging himself to relate to what she'd gone through. "I'd rather not talk to anyone about it. It's easier to suffer alone." Walking into the kitchen, Valentina asked what he wanted to drink and he tilted his head. Had she just offered him wine? Well, it would probably help null everything in his head. "Absolutely not. No alcohol for either of you. You're both too young." Alvin sweatdropped. There went that idea. "I guess I'll just take a soda then. Thanks for....Well, being kind, I guess. Makes me feel a bit better...."

Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters Tina looked at her mother for a moment and et out a sigh. "I apologize for the suggestion. I just thought it might be a bit helpful for Alvin, you know such things have a different effect on vampires." When Alvin said he would take a soda she looked in the fridge. "We have a few kinds, any particular one you are interested in?" She said after a moment. "I wish there was more I could do then be kind Alvin."

Alfred "Alvin" Mathis Sal shook his head. "Only cowards hide behind alcohol. And, I'm sure Alvin's no coward." The teen blushed. He didn't want to say anything. Alvin did feel like disappearing, so he wasn't sure. "No, I don't have a preference. Anyway, it means a lot to know that someone cares. Thank you. Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters "You say that now mother, but I believe there are times when everyone just wants to feel a little numb from things. I know if I were hurt I would want to do so. Isnt it the same thing as being given medication to stop the pain from a surgery?" she asked simply before going to the fridge and getting out a soda for Alvin. "Everyone should care about each other." She said softly before she gave Alvin a smile and got the meal setting it on the table. She decided she would try to eat this meal with Alvin and her mother hoping it would sit well with her. Some things were fine, while others she didn't feel well from mainly things with garlic or other such plants.

Alfred "Alvin" Mathis Sal thought. Was it? He never had a surgery before. The word literally didn't exist back in his ocean home. Until he heard it from Vlad, he didn't know it was a word. Alvin shook his head. "Thanks, but Sal's right. Going numb with alcohol won't solve anything. Medications are different. Who wants to feel their skin and organs be cut open?" Alvin took the soda and smiled a bit. Maybe she should teach that to her near-heartless father. Near, mind you. He did care for his family.

Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters "I don't think that my father would really listen to me, to young and not enough experiences to know about the world and its apparent evils." She said after a moment shaking her head. "Well, enough talk of this, lets eat and think of more pleasant things." Tina stated as she sat at the table and took the smallest of the steaks. While she was hungry, she would rather be safe then sorry.

Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters "You don't just have dark thoughts, you have my mother and I as friends, a chance to start completely over and be your own person now. Sure it might seem scary, but at least your alive and healthy right? You could be dead or dying somewhere or sick and in pain." She said before she let out a small sigh and pushed the plate away. She wasn't feeling up to trying human food just then. "I think I will clean up then head to my room." Tina stated after a moment excusing herself and cleaning up the dishes she had used to make their dinner.

Alfred "Alvin" Mathis Alvin rolled his eyes. Their "friendship" seemed forced and/or forged from pity. They were nice to him, which he appreciated, but whatever sort of friendship there was didn't feel real to him. He didn't say anything, of course, and focused on his food. "I'm not scared. I'm pissed off and hurt." And, alone. Very much alone.

Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters Tina could understand his fears and being hurt but she had enough of being treated like this, of having him treat her mother like this when Sal had done nothing. "I can see why my father didn't want me to interact with humans. My mother has been nothing but kind to you, yet you have been cold towards him." She was upset with this and she really didn't know why, though it showed in how she had slammed down the dish she was washing and turned away heading to her own room. "Let me know when he leaves. I don't want to interact with humans, I am sorry we ruined your life Alvin, but maybe its time for you to grow up and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Yes your life has been turned around but get up and DO something about it don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself." With that she was gone back to her room and looking out at the garden a bit of the ocean past it visible to her. She would never understand humans and now she didn't think she wanted to.

Alfred "Alvin" Mathis "What the hell? I didn't even say anything to attack either of you." The teen watched Valentina leave the room. "She didn't--" "Don't even say it. It's annoying when people say someone didn't mean something. She clearly meant it." What the hell was her problem? Alvin didn't say anything against her and Sal. All he said was that he wasn't scared. The teen stood and, as the pampered princess wanted, left the castle. He didn't care if he'd be hunted. Alvin would rather be dead than treated like a b*****d for no good reason. "...Valentina, what was that? He said nothing to entice such an uncalled for reaction. I am very angry with you right now. What did I tell you earlier?" Sal was losing faith in this family. With Vlad, he expected such behavior, but not with his daughter. If this was how they were going to act, then maybe it would be best if he returned home to the ocean. He couldn't live with two people who were quick to change heart.

Valentina "Tina" Rouminouff-Atwaters 'We have been kind to him, well almost everyone, father might have been cold and distant, but we had both tried to make him feel comfortable and all he does is try to push us farther away. I don't know what else to do and if this is how all people act, I don't think I want any part of it. I would rather be with just you and father. He attacked father earlier after we left the pool, granted it was justified, I just cant take it anymore. Be angry with me if you wish, I know I have never acted in such a way before. I cant explain it but that human frustrates me and I don't know why." Tina closed her eyes and tried to calm herself. She really didn't know what was happening, she wanted to make Alvin comfortable and happy here, but it seemed that he really didn't care that they were trying to make him feel comfortable. ((sorry, I really don't know what else to do she was trying to get Alvin to stop feeling sorry for himself and see the good that there was in the new opportunity of being able to choose his own life. Not only that but Vlad was able to read minds, so Tina has some of that ability and was able to feel that Alvin didn't feel they were really trying to be friendly. It seems that this roleplay isn't going to last is it?))

Alfred "Alvin" Mathis Sal sighed. "Sending him to his death won't make anything better. I want you to get over your unfounded anger and bring him back here. Nicely." The merman picked up Alvin's plate and placed it in the microwave for the teen. "The fact that he hasn't killed himself already means he wants this new life. But, being betrayed and almost killed by your parent is not something people recover from over night, regardless of race and species."the gothic beauty 2 Unless he actually thought it in colored text, then it shouldn't have been heard by any of them. Also, that wasn't an attack on Tina and Sal; their "friendship" really is forced and/or forged from pity.
