Tiah’s green eyes settled as she shifted from place to place as she moved along side her mate. Her paws shifted from place to place delicately as she slowly circled him once, before speaking.
“So how’s things?”
They had not been on good terms lately, so Tiah hoped that h had forgotten about the fight that they have gotten into; she hated it when he was upset with her, it drove her mad. With a soft nuzzle she smiled and moved herself a bit closer to him, before slowly dragging herself away, as if to give him his space. She knew how much he liked his space.
his eyes half closed he simply stared off into the horizon for a few brief moments before snapping back to reality feeling her nuzzle him gently as if to get his attention. he turned his head, as if to look back at her. his eyes opening slightly as he pulled himself out of his daze. it was about time he let go of his own personal issues with his past. besides perhaps there would be another oppurtunity to sieze power, perhaps if he joined another pride? then again, he never really knew what he would do once he finally ruled one. perhaps try to force others to join his pride and make a united utopia of lions. afterall, prides were just like the divided kingdoms in the human world. he tilted his head slightly and gazed at her for a few brief moments letting his thoughts go
"they've been better i suppose, where have you been these past couple of days?"
he spoke, rather curious of her whereabouts. was it only a couple of days? it seemed like a few weeks to him, then again he always seemed to lose track of time whenever left on his own. he moved to stand from his seated position. lifting himself up from the grass as he turned to face tiah.
“I was around; looking for family- spoke with my elder brother.”
Tiah chimed and nodded slowly. Her paws softly laced along one another as she sat herself down and smiled at him. Her ears flicked back as a soft purr passed through her chest.
“I didn’t know I had a brother until then.”
She admitted weakly. She had after all just learned about her father’s life, and another part to her family’s bloodline. Danzi seemed well, and they did share the same coat colors; she figured it was better having a family member still around, being alone for too long got dull fast.
“But he seems well, I guess.”
"hmm, thats good i suppose..."
he said, not really sure of what else to say other then the first thing to come to mind. he yawned, roaring softly under his breath as his eyes remained gazing at tiahs figure. he remained unmoving, standing on all fours. once again he felt at a loss of words then again maybe there just wasnt much to say about it. he wasnt to concerned about her other family members.
"well thats good that you have a brother at least..."
he said as if forcing himself to make conversation. suddenly his eyes went wide for a moment as a small almost unnoticeable grinn passed his lips. she had a brother, perhaps that ment that his brother was part of a pride and that maybe she would be to. he couldnt help but feel as though this was oppurtunity knocking at his door. his eyes narrowed with curiosity as he began to walk lazily around her, his head hanging low towards the ground. circling her just as she had with him not to long ago.
"so, your brother..... is he part of a pride by any chance?"
“Mmm, well, I think he is apart of the Pridelands.”
Her eyes narrowed intently as he spoke to her. He was up to no good again, she could tell, he never really looked at her that way, unless he wanted something from her. Her nose winkled as he slowly started to pad around her, circling her.
“Or… at least I think he is. That is where I found him.”
She added with a soft nod. Her tail flicked from side to side as her gazed upon him feel short, and for a moment left her glancing to the ground. Moving her eyes back to his she questioned.
“Why do you ask?”
"just out of curiosity i suppose....."
he said thinking to himself. perhaps it was to early for the pridelands. his take over would be far more difficult if he went straight towards the general populous of the pridelands. there were to many lions there and itd be far to easy for him to be found out. perhaps starting small and working his way up would be the best strategy. join a pride, then perform a ku, become ruler of that pride then have his pride join another and repeat. perhaps eventually if all worked out as planned he could simply force his way to the top of the pridelands. then again grand schemes like these always had a funny way of falling apart at the last minute as he had learned from his past efforts.
"i was thinking, maybe we should consider joining a pride of somesort?"
he spoke as he continued to circle tiah slowly, his tail swaying slightly from left to right as if to contain his excitement it was almost as though he were a dog. he stopped, seating himself in front of tiah as he continued to return her stare
"afterall, as much fun as wondering aimlessly through these lands are. im getting rather bored of constantly traveling around everyday and having to try so hard to get food when other prides are hogging all the livestock. maybe things would be easier dont you think?"
“I am in a pride already, silly, one that my father was in, my mother too.”
She spoke back with a faint sigh. He was looking for power. He always wanted power.
“I’m just getting tired of you.”
She was being very blunt, her sudden change of heart pulled at her chest as she gazed at him with cold eyes. She wouldn’t, for the life of her see anything in him right now. He would never be the mate she needed or wanted- would he?
Her eyes shifted as she let a dull sigh pass her maw before moving herself to turn. She wanted to go, and she would, with or without him.
With that she started off, moving away from him yet again. This was a silly game that they played and every time she spoke to him it was like dancing on a thin line. She needed out.
