Spaniard The Last Angel

PostPosted: Sat Jan 17, 2009 8:37 pm

Israel shrugged his shoulders about James question towards Alex and cautiously took the drink from him, holding it cupped between both hands and taking a sip as to not be rude. James described it perfectly and Israel couldn't help but to lick his lips and drink a little more. He looked up at James with a smile and pointed to his pink mustache. His smile then faded quickly when James asked about his mother.

"Um... she used to cook for me yes... I do not eat much anymore though..."

James licked his lips cleaning off the mustache. "Why not?" He asked and broke into the packet of tinny crackers that came with the soup. He always seemed to be hungry even now more than when he was young. "Aren’t you hungry?" he asked concern in his voice he put a hand on the boy's shoulder and rubbed it softly. "Are you sick?" He asked. He thought that the boy was just skinny because, well he was skinny, but it was now clear that he was not eating enough. "Come on man fess up." He said his voice joking and kind. He popped a few crackers into his mouth and swallowed, taking the glass from his hands and gulping before setting it back down in front of him.

Israel just shrugged. "I have a small appatite..." He was not one to be very open about his thoughts to other people, especially about his mother, so Israel tried his best to speak without being rude or giving anything away. Though, it seemed he just might break if James kept being this persistant.

"Hey, come on I thought we were friends man." He pretended to punch his shoulder and frowned before smirking slightly. "You can tell me. I know you don't have a just small appetite." He tussled the boy's hair teasingly and put an arm around his shoulders. James was so use to being physical with everyone around him that it totally slipped his mind what effect this might have on someone as old school as Israel. He leaned against the booth’s back and gazed into the boy’s eyes.

Israel felt uneasy as James began to tussel him around, and he was intent on keeping his silence. Then, James looked at him with his crystal eyes, and Israel's mouth seemed to move without his concent.

"My mother is dead..."

James’s smile faded quickly his eyes watered and he looked away, down at the table. "Oh...I'm sorry." He said as kindly as he could. He looked back up at Israel and put his free hand on the boys other shoulder. "I'm really sorry." He said again and hugged the boy tightly. "Please forgive my thoughtless behavior, I did not mean to upset you." In all honesty it was probably James who was more upset at this moment in time by the statement. His eyes watered and sniffled as rubbed the boy's back. He hated letting people down and this was so monstrous of him to have done, he felt horrible.

Israel looked back and forth swiftly with his green eyes as James hugged him. Where he was from, not many people hugged others. "Um... James? It's okay... I uh... I'm fine..." He really was fine, he had gotten over his mother's passing since the five years that had passed, he just was not very comfortable talking about her... then again, he didn't really talk about much anyway.

"Are you sure?" he asked and slowly released him, sitting back up. His eyes were red and his cheeks flushed. He looked uncertain almost as if he was ready to beg for forgiveness if need be. Then a thought passed though is mind. "So why don't you eat much?" He asked, and wiped his eyes on his forearm. He was hoping that he would get a straight answer. He loved to eat and he hated the idea that the boy had some kind of eating disorder or something. it was not unheard of for teenage boys to develop such things but it was very uncommon.

Israel shrugged, trying not to look at the destruction he had caused the beautiful boy's eyes. Oh how he hated himself at that moment, but what else could he say to make it all better...

"I don't know... I just, don't need to eat three times a day... once a day is enough, just one big meal and a snack keeps me healthy."
PostPosted: Sat Jan 17, 2009 10:34 pm

"But, that is not healthy, you should be eating many smaller meals, or many big meals in my case. Man I can really pack it away." He patted his belly and chuckled. He was slightly muscular; bit not enough to be gross or anything. His stomach was flat but not wash board hard. He did not want to be that buff and he would rather eat what he wants to than not. "It’s ok, I’m comfortable with my belly.” He joked, he was sure that compared to the boy, he was huge.

Israel gave a small smile to James and took another sip of the drink. "This is normal for me, so sorry if I don't eat like I will never eat again." he said jokingly. He was starting to like spending time with James.

"You had better be sorry little miss thing." He said and winked, he eat the rest of the crackers, then started in on his fourth roll. James stuck it into his mouth in one bite and laughed, almost choking. His eyes watered and he swallowed hard. "Damn, that was so worth it." He said and coughed chuckling all the more. His eyes danced and he picked up an apple off of his tray. He took a bight and relished the sweet crisp taste. A line of juice ran down his chin and he wiped it away with the back of his hand. “Man, try this.” He said and held the apple out for the boy. Not worrying that he might be full.

Alex got his tray and looked around for Israel for a moment, before seeing him sitting with some American boy. Oh no... What if he didn't speak Spanish? It would be too awkward to eat in the company of someone he could not even talk to. Would Israel mind playing translator? Well, he couldn't loeave now. He'd gotten his food already, and if he sat somewhere else, Israel would see and might think Alex was slighting him.

So, Alex steeled himself and walked over to the two guys. He cleared his throat and tried his terrible English. "Hello, am Alexandre. My Inglês not good. Sorry." His face flushed red and he sat next to Israel, across from the American. He swalloed hard, and asked ins Spainish, "Izzy, who is this boy?" His face turned even redder. He hadn't meant to call Israel by the nickname he'd given the Spaniard in his head.

James smiled he spoke a little Spanish, but he was sure he would make a fool of him self. "Um..No, It's ok. Umm... My name is James, It's nice to meet you Alex." He said in broken Spanish, grinned and could not help but laugh at himself. He was sure he sounded horrible. "Please forgive me, mouth." He leaned back and gestured for him to take a seat. He only knew a few phrases and greeting, but he was sure that he might be able to get by especially with Israel to help him. “Where is your home?” He asked curiously, with an accent that would make any native born Spanish speaker turn over in their graves.

He spoke Spainish? That was a surprise. Well, it wasn't very good Spainish, and his accent was terrible, but Alex could understand it at least. Did that mean he understood what Alex had just asked of Izzy? He hoped he hadn't sounded rude. "Brazil" He answered simply, in English.
