 Philip's ears immediately went flat against his head and his tail fluffed up a bit. He leaned in against Nicholai, resting his head against the man. Sarah's excited squeal had scared him a bit. He didn't want to be made a fuss of, he certainly didn't want to be touched, he didn't want to be treated differently from any body else.

Philip gave William a small grateful smile as he let Nicholai lead him to the couch. He sat down and rested his head on the man's shoulder. "I'm fine" he replied. "I'm sorry. I hate being thought of as cute! Well, not by you. I love that you think I'm cute. But that's because you're my partner and I love you. I hate other people thinking I'm cute, like... like a pet or a toy. I'm not."
