(Hey Xinrie, I was wondering if you would like to affiliate the Mishap Mercenaries to my thread: Gateways. Or maybe I could make a gateway that links to a spot near the Mishaps HQ. Whichever you want. =D

Also, guys, check it out. I think you might be interested.

--Also Xinrie, could you post? >.> We're all kinda stuck until you tell us to go into the desert.)

((Holy crap. The Gateway RP looks fething amazing! Expect a bio heading your way sometime this week or next. May use my current Mishaps character, but more steampunkerish, if you know what I mean. Pocketwatch, suit, on a daily commute via steam-blimp, oh yeah ;D))

ooc: >_< Sorry guys been uber busy lately As for Riot, Sure =D Thats a great idea it might even get us some more members again

Xinrie nodded to the others. "If he gets too heavy I can always have Saun carry him ya know." She gave a light smile to Cyrith before heading off further into the desert, by now the heat was seering here, and sand was beggining to whip about them in currents. She tightened her light-weight tanned desert scarf further about her face, and snapped some goggles on that were inside of her pack. Atleast now she ould see and breath a bit better. "Two more miles,...look you can already see the tip of the tall buldings in Urkal."

Taking a glance out into the desert, Cyrith felt a sweatdrop form. The desert was littered with broken rocks, most of them jagged, and he even saw a dust devil or two form and float past the group. Two miles, in this? With this man on his back. Oh fun. He allowed a weak grin to form on his face. "Oh, just two miles? Is that all? Well, let's go." The small amount of sarcasm was apparent.

Feeling thirsty, Hrisskarr made his way to the cafeteria. As he was walking through the open doorway, he heard the captains distinctive, almost metallic voice from snatches of conversation.

"...Hrisskar J'wolsky seems to be the best squad member out of the two and he has not even gone on a single mission..."

Was that so? Hrisskar was surprised. Feeling vaguely pleased, he walked over to the figures at the far end of the room.

As he neared, he noticed a girl sat on one of the tables, swinging her legs. Thinking at first that she was the daughter of the Captain, he shook his bewildered head slightly, and looked at Sokato. He was way too young.

"New recruit eh? I swear, they get younger and younger. Everyone might start calling me Grandad", he grinned, one hand rubbing his grizzled grey beard. "Anyway, the reason I'm here: When is the night watch job gonna be? Just so I know how soon I need to get my sniper back off Brian."
"The new recruits are also getting older and older, grampa Hrisskar. What a nice surprise." Sokato said in a way that infers that Hrisskar is going crazy in his old age. It was also hard for Sokato to keep himself from laughing when he called Hrisskar grandpa.

"No no, the little girl is not a new recruit. She is the daughter of a member of squad Null and unlike us they are on a mission. We can't even think about going on the mission yet as it has not yet been confirmed. That and I don't have the mission specs. From the looks of it we are going to be short a member on this one, and although it has never been a problem before, it would be best if we could get a substitute. Nevertheless I don't have any concerns about the mission."

"On the other hand," Sokato gets this worried look on his face. "I am confused of why you even thought of lending Brian a gun. You should of realized by now that he is well.... mentally instable, thats it. I would get that gun back from him as soon as possible."

Brian grinned, and watched the two newcomers battle against the forces he had conjured up. The apes now were in their 500's, mainly because it seemed a bit too easy for the doveboy to just kill them away, and he and his magical fox had jet to think of a method other then killing the monkees, which might have resulted in a complte and utter stop of the programm.
but as of yet....
He grinned and watched the blademaiden slice open two monkees of his dirty hippy collection. He licked his lips, and hiod a bit behind the screen of his laptop. It seemed to make her allmost too much fun to simply slice and dice the monkees. he watched her interestedly, and was glad that the cameras in the room were on autorecord. He deemed it veery educaional where that girl could hide all of her weapons, and which very exotic movements she used to pull them. He scratched himself at the back of his head, and thought about how much the row of attacks from the girl resembled more a dance then anything else he had ever seen, and how clumsily doveboys movements seemed in comparison. he smiled, and turned towards captain eva, who seemed allmost as if she was sleeping with her eyes open.
"so, you wanna innitiate phase 2? I mean, if you open your laptop, you will find two new monkee icons in the Holodeck controll programm. One of them is styled like bud spencer, and one of them a bit more like terence hill. thought it would make the game a little more fun.
Oh, and they have all the modifications you asked for..... Plus, with a click on their little heads, you can even select which parts they will attack..... wanna try?"
He smiled, and pressed the final buttons, while handing over the main controll of the simulation to the captain, while he worked on the final parts. He knew that that would certainly cheer her up.
"you see? two icons on the right side, just click on them, hold, and they will come where you leave them. plus, they are capable of learning an opponents move....."

Apollime grinned as she whirled in a circle, sliceing the blades on the sides on her gloves over one monkey in front of her, then the one that had closed in behind her. Standing up as she was momentarily cleared of monkeys on her immediate position, she stretched her arms over her head and popped her back. Twisting around she stretched her sides and bent over then raised up, seeing more of the monkees coming towards her. Although loving such close combat, she decided on playing a little differently for now.
She reached up, scratching the back of her head as she tilted her head back to look at the tech and the captain. Grinning at them, she slid her hand lower, gripping something under the fall of her ponytail. Standing straight she faced the monkees coming at her, a metallic clang the only discernable noise. A silver gleam flashed as she pulled her sword out of the hidden scabbord on her back, twirling it around mockingly, before rushing to meet the monkees head on. As she meet the monkees in a flash, she shouted over the din at Erald, "Go get 'em angelboy! You just better hurry, I can't protect your back from all directions with this many opponants at once for long." Seeing one rushing his back as he turned toward the Tech, she leaned way to the side, holding up her sword to block a blow from one monkee. Whipping a pistol out through her pocket from a holster on her leg she grinned and slammed some bullets through the monkee after him, watching it fall. Hitting the ground on her side she rolled and jumped back to her feet, going back at the monkees surrounding her with a whoop.

Hrisskar fixed his superior with a cold stare. "It seems that you forget. Who was first on the scene to help you out when your exo-skeleton malfunctioned? His heart is in the right place, and I trust him because of that."

"Let me know when you get information about the job.", Hrisskar mentioned, while turning to walk out of the cafeteria. Pausing by the girl, he gave her a pat on the head.

"Look after yourself, child. The world can be a dangerous place. The worst enemies are the ones you don't know about.", he said, not looking at the girl.

He continued out of the cafeteria. He never did get his drink.

Erald, with his weapons, hops back into the fray.
*Erald, this isn't working*
*What do you mean?*
*Every time one dies it seems 2 more spring up, maybe we should trap or incapacitate them, so as to halt the increase in their numbers*
"Apollime, is it just me, or does it seem that more monkeys come every time we kill them?"

Down from the winter wonderland of that artic place, the doors now stood infront of him. Tightening his cloak he walked in to see the mass of people, talking, running, or doing some other thing. He pulled his hood over his head and walked on. His black cloak was shield him from every ones eyes and prevented any part of him besides his eyes to be seen. The cloak was log and black, almost like a monk robe. His sandeled feet could not be seen nor could any see the arms he had folded inside of the cloak and not in their sleeves.
'This place is going to be nothing but a bore.' Shadar walked up the stair and down the corridor. Pushing open the door to the Squad hallway.
He went over to the captian' door and banged on it.
"HEY ANY ONE IN THERE?" He yelled. He was getting frustrated with these people. Turning his gaze from the door to his moving bag where Ember was beginning to wake up.
'Crap' He thought.

Eva sat down, flipping her laptop open. "Make it so, number one." She nodded to Tech to move into the second stage of the sim. The monkeys abruptly disappeared, save two who underwent a strange metamorphosis into exact replicas of Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill. They both had numbers emblazoned on the chests and backs of their clothing, for Terrence a 1 and or Bud a 2. The stood close together, momentarily frozen as Eva halted the program for a shot explanation:
"Welcome to chapter two, brave adenturers. The object is to neutralize both enemies. We'll restart if you mess up. Number one is strong. Number two is weak. If you hurt number one, number two gets stronger. Oh, and there's something else...I forget what it is right now, but I'm sure you'll find out. Happy hunting!" With that, she restarted the sim and Bud spencer chaged at Erald much more quickly than his imposing frame should have allowed, aiming for a solid blow to the face, while Hill hung back defensively.

Gene sighed in relief as he saw the desert. Finally, some sand! The winds of the desert were of little annoyance to him. The harsh heat of the desert slowly began to take it's toll on his attire, which was pretty heavy and concealed for moderate template areas. However, he endured through the sweat and sand that spread onto him little by little, his SEC-Uniform having turned into several patterns of tan, orange and otherwise similar colors.

With his right eye was the only eye he mantained open, since it had less of a nerval sensitivity than his real eye. True, the sand was still getting on it and extracting it was getting very annoying, but atleast he could see what Xinrie was talking about without having to put on any goggles. "Yeah, well, let's see if we can get there before I can't see the buildings anymore, shall we?"
