(1. the direct line from the manga reads "Shinmei style can't be countered by projectile weapons" this indicates that one can't stop Shinmeiryu fighting techniques with ranged weapons, not that a user of Shinmeiryu is invulnerable to ranged weapons.
2. taking battlefield boasting from a child as an unarguable statement of fact? shame on you. if you recall, Tsukuyomi, who had fought against Mana, was ten kinds of ******** up at the end of the battle.
3. at best, Shinmeiryu training provides strong defense [read: not complete/undefeatable defense] against mundane firearms, not the magic projectiles that Yuuna's weapons fire. example, go play D&D and try to stop a fireball with a sword. even the Shinmeiryu class i found and use in my D&D games can't do that.
4. despite the three previous points, i shall retain this statement of yours to use as a rebuttal should Shadow and Chachamaru decide to disqualify the Shinmei character i've submitted due to her Advanced Projectile Deflection feat)
Yep, Ackbar senses confirmed. This was definitely a trap. In all actuality, it's a counter-trap, and a rather poorly-conceived counter-trap at that. This girl alone against three trained gunslingers, a sneaky...well, she didn't actually have any grasp of Claude's martial abilities, but he couldn't have gotten by on just his talents of disguise alone, now could he? Anyway. Three trained gunslingers, an at-minimum-capable melee combatant, a newly-minted battlefield information specialist, and a newly-minted gunslinger with a pair of casters and a lot of 'spray-the-sword-guy-with-bullets-until-he-stops-coming' experience? It was a recipe for a bad night, s'what it was. Oh, but she wasn't about to make the first move, not at all. Instead, she raised her hand that was holding her cell phone, and slid it back into her jacket pocket. Her inside jacket pocket.

Claude didn't seem too bothered by the threat. He'd seen combat before; against more threatening foes than a little girl with a sword or two. He simply sighed and shook his head, still talking with Konoka's voice. "Really now? Oh, dear... Please, do me a favour? Don't bleed on me too much." He slipped into a grin as he pulled his balisong from his pocket. A swift flick of his wrist, and the blade was revealed. Throwing the knife directly up into the air, he looked into Tsukuyomi's eyes and chuckled. "May I make a suggestion?" His eyes narrowed a little as his hand reached to his watch. "Run."
Pressing the button on his watch, he faded out of visibility. The knife that he had thrown in midair disappeared as it approached the ground, becoming concealed by the invisibility provided by Claude's cloak. First thing he did was dive against the nearest building, pressing himself up against it, but keeping utterly silent whilst he did so. He hadn't quite been expecting this encounter; and he hadn't studied the girl before, so for now, it would be a case of observation, and then sneaking in, to take her out. Whilst he had nothing against severing the girl's spinal column, he knew that dead girls don't talk; he'd need to incapacitate her, without killing her; and he knew that with a sword in her hand, that wouldn't be easy...

((This'll end well.... Since Shadow so kindly made one, let's take this argument about Tsukuyomi v. Mina-san to the thread.))
As "Konoka" disappeared, Kazumi stepped away from the little girl.
After reaching into her yukata, she pulled out her pactio card. "Adeat!" Ramming the spectacles on, she scanned the little girl. What she saw was not good. It was as if the little girl stood in an ethereal bonfire, ki came off her in waves. "She's a ki user!"
Kazumi backpedaled, though another magical energy field caught her eye and she turned to look at the figure crouched against the wall. Was this "Konoka"?
((We need to discuss Detect Magic v. Invisibility as well.))
Ken didn't understand what being a ki user had to do with anything. Putting away the cellphone, he reached beneath his jacket and drew the guns. It was only for a split-second, but he had had to override the urge to only draw one gun. With bullets that exploded in 10-foot diameters, he did not have to worry about accuracy. Though he made a note to himself to stop using these guns. His skills would deteriorate further if he kept this up.
Mana watched Ken hesitate before drawing a bead on the little blond girl. Briefly, she remembered some of the faces of the men that had hesitated to draw against her when she was but a child. They never made that mistake again... or any other mistake for that matter.
Looking away, Mana scanned the crowds. In a sea of movement, her eyes were drawn to stillness. As her eyes flickered from bystander to bystander, she sought one or more others that would be watching. However skilled this little one was, there would be a backup. So where was he or she?

"To make something certain." She said bluntly; once again being awfully quick in her rebuttle as if she had been expecting such a question. Her words still seemed a bit hollow, but to anyone who knew Zazie, they would know that was normal. But for Kaito and Akari, it was obvious to Zazie that the two weren't exactly comfortable from her; which she seemed alright with. After all, she had grown quite used to it.
Seeing the two of them offer a hand though, she oustretched her hands from her cloak slow at first as her hands were shrouded in it's darkness. But when close enough, she snatched there hands in one of each of her own before seeming to take hold of their pointer finger's, the whole action quite fast as she did. The oddest thing of all though was what she gave them, or rather; what she put on them. Entrapping the fingers of the two of them, they would find an unfamiliar, yellow and red colored tube in a braided fashion, tightly around the finger's of them. It was tight, but not enough to hurt. Though if they tried to pull away, they would notice it get tighter. Zazie had known what it was; a chinese finger trap. But for people of Japan, such a 'toy' was not something many people would know about, and chances were, Akari and Kaito wouldn't either, nor how it worked. "Together forever." She said with that small, subtle smile there as she watched the reaction they would have.
