"A gift." Zazie immediattly responded, not even batting an eye at the hesitance from the two. Like she had been expecting to be asked that. Her light and rare smile had vanished already, and she just kept looking at them, her hands still tucked away under the sleeves of her robe as her golden eyes never seemed to blink. "I wanted to give something." She added, mentioning that she had a gift for the two of them. Since she mentioned they were eternally together, perhaps it was a gift to celebrate their relationship or something? Either way, suspicious as they may have been, she didn't do anything deviant or strange, speaking as if it was from classmate to classmate, albeit in a monotone and dull fashion as her voice never seemed to show excitement or anything of that nature despite the fact that she mentioned giving them something.

(hah, think that if you wish, but i plan on proving what every Halo player knows: at appropriate range, BR > sword)

[OOC// Hold up I got a call. -picks up phone- G-General Custard! I-its an honor to speak with you! Oh...oh I'll be sure to tell him that. Bye General. -hangs up- He said to tell you that ranged weaponry will probably have no effect on Shinmei[sp?] Ryu students as displayed in Vol 6 of the manga. ]

Kenneth rolled his eyes at her straight forwardness. This was merely just a ploy he had thought up on the spot, there was no guarantee that it would work but hell it was worth a try. He was watching from afar, he had his hand on the inside of his coat while standing against a wall, he was holding onto his Glock 17, ready to charge in if Tsukuyomi needed help desperately.

Kaito heard her say gift and he eyed her carefully but this girl could hide her emotions as good as if not better than Kitsune who he couldn't read either. He held their hand out with an open palm as he kept his above Akari's now to make sure if anything happened he could cover for it. He was firm as he stood there waiting for whatever it was that the girl was going to do to their hands.

(1. the direct line from the manga reads "Shinmei style can't be countered by projectile weapons" this indicates that one can't stop Shinmeiryu fighting techniques with ranged weapons, not that a user of Shinmeiryu is invulnerable to ranged weapons.

2. taking battlefield boasting from a child as an unarguable statement of fact? shame on you. if you recall, Tsukuyomi, who had fought against Mana, was ten kinds of ******** up at the end of the battle.

3. at best, Shinmeiryu training provides strong defense [read: not complete/undefeatable defense] against mundane firearms, not the magic projectiles that Yuuna's weapons fire. example, go play D&D and try to stop a fireball with a sword. even the Shinmeiryu class i found and use in my D&D games can't do that.

4. despite the three previous points, i shall retain this statement of yours to use as a rebuttal should Shadow and Chachamaru decide to disqualify the Shinmei character i've submitted due to her Advanced Projectile Deflection feat)

Yep, Ackbar senses confirmed. This was definitely a trap. In all actuality, it's a counter-trap, and a rather poorly-conceived counter-trap at that. This girl alone against three trained gunslingers, a sneaky...well, she didn't actually have any grasp of Claude's martial abilities, but he couldn't have gotten by on just his talents of disguise alone, now could he? Anyway. Three trained gunslingers, an at-minimum-capable melee combatant, a newly-minted battlefield information specialist, and a newly-minted gunslinger with a pair of casters and a lot of 'spray-the-sword-guy-with-bullets-until-he-stops-coming' experience? It was a recipe for a bad night, s'what it was. Oh, but she wasn't about to make the first move, not at all. Instead, she raised her hand that was holding her cell phone, and slid it back into her jacket pocket. Her inside jacket pocket.

Claude didn't seem too bothered by the threat. He'd seen combat before; against more threatening foes than a little girl with a sword or two. He simply sighed and shook his head, still talking with Konoka's voice. "Really now? Oh, dear... Please, do me a favour? Don't bleed on me too much." He slipped into a grin as he pulled his balisong from his pocket. A swift flick of his wrist, and the blade was revealed. Throwing the knife directly up into the air, he looked into Tsukuyomi's eyes and chuckled. "May I make a suggestion?" His eyes narrowed a little as his hand reached to his watch. "Run."

Pressing the button on his watch, he faded out of visibility. The knife that he had thrown in midair disappeared as it approached the ground, becoming concealed by the invisibility provided by Claude's cloak. First thing he did was dive against the nearest building, pressing himself up against it, but keeping utterly silent whilst he did so. He hadn't quite been expecting this encounter; and he hadn't studied the girl before, so for now, it would be a case of observation, and then sneaking in, to take her out. Whilst he had nothing against severing the girl's spinal column, he knew that dead girls don't talk; he'd need to incapacitate her, without killing her; and he knew that with a sword in her hand, that wouldn't be easy...

((This'll end well.... Since Shadow so kindly made one, let's take this argument about Tsukuyomi v. Mina-san to the thread.))

As "Konoka" disappeared, Kazumi stepped away from the little girl.

After reaching into her yukata, she pulled out her pactio card. "Adeat!" Ramming the spectacles on, she scanned the little girl. What she saw was not good. It was as if the little girl stood in an ethereal bonfire, ki came off her in waves. "She's a ki user!"

Kazumi backpedaled, though another magical energy field caught her eye and she turned to look at the figure crouched against the wall. Was this "Konoka"?

((We need to discuss Detect Magic v. Invisibility as well.))

Ken didn't understand what being a ki user had to do with anything. Putting away the cellphone, he reached beneath his jacket and drew the guns. It was only for a split-second, but he had had to override the urge to only draw one gun. With bullets that exploded in 10-foot diameters, he did not have to worry about accuracy. Though he made a note to himself to stop using these guns. His skills would deteriorate further if he kept this up.

Mana watched Ken hesitate before drawing a bead on the little blond girl. Briefly, she remembered some of the faces of the men that had hesitated to draw against her when she was but a child. They never made that mistake again... or any other mistake for that matter.

Looking away, Mana scanned the crowds. In a sea of movement, her eyes were drawn to stillness. As her eyes flickered from bystander to bystander, she sought one or more others that would be watching. However skilled this little one was, there would be a backup. So where was he or she?

Tsukuyomi looked at the crowds of people around them as 'Konoka' gave her a warning before vanishing. She couldn't hear or sense where she had gone as she let her eyes move along the rest of the people still there. She smiled "I guess I have to get rid of the rest of you first" she said as she slid the first sword from its sheath as she pulled out some talismans with her other hand. She recited a few chants as she tossed the papers out as multiple little creatures came pouring out, some were small monster shapes others were animals as they ran around making people move away and a bunch ran at the group of students. Her eyes never left what was going on as she would disable them and move on quickly.

Akari heard Zazie mention a gift. She was going to give them a gift? They hardly knew her and only knew her as that classmates with the small elite team of doves randomly at hand. Akari looks at Kaito and shrugs her shoulders with her hand still outstretched. His was over hers a bit and she knew he was being overprotective again. It was nice to have someone be protective of her, even if they were in no real danger. "Why do you want to give us a gift?" She asked as she studied her. Still strange.

"To make something certain." She said bluntly; once again being awfully quick in her rebuttle as if she had been expecting such a question. Her words still seemed a bit hollow, but to anyone who knew Zazie, they would know that was normal. But for Kaito and Akari, it was obvious to Zazie that the two weren't exactly comfortable from her; which she seemed alright with. After all, she had grown quite used to it.

Seeing the two of them offer a hand though, she oustretched her hands from her cloak slow at first as her hands were shrouded in it's darkness. But when close enough, she snatched there hands in one of each of her own before seeming to take hold of their pointer finger's, the whole action quite fast as she did. The oddest thing of all though was what she gave them, or rather; what she put on them. Entrapping the fingers of the two of them, they would find an unfamiliar, yellow and red colored tube in a braided fashion, tightly around the finger's of them. It was tight, but not enough to hurt. Though if they tried to pull away, they would notice it get tighter. Zazie had known what it was; a chinese finger trap. But for people of Japan, such a 'toy' was not something many people would know about, and chances were, Akari and Kaito wouldn't either, nor how it worked. "Together forever." She said with that small, subtle smile there as she watched the reaction they would have.

Kaito looked down at the little device that was put on his finger as it was attached to Akari's finger as well. He looked down at it as he didn't recognize the object "What is this thing?" he asked as he pulled on it and it became tighter. He was a bit shocked as he moved his hand and now Akari's hand as well, he looked to her before looking at Zazie a bit confused by what happened.

He now had his left hand stuck to Akari's right as he was taken quite by surprised as they were together literally, he wasn't mad at the fact of it but the way that it happened was a bit off in his mind.

The strange girl had taken their hands and pointer fingers in a fast, quick motion. Confused she stares down at her hand which now had a strange tube around her finger and Kaito's. "What the hell?" Akari muttered as she tried to pull it off. The thing only got tighter and she could feel the thing wrap harder arong her finger. Akari kept her cool, it seemed like some gag thing of some kind. Looking at Kaito she continues to try and free the finger without much luck.

"How cute..." She grumbled, Zazie having said the words 'Together forever'. If this thing didn't come off in the next five minutes she was going to start getting pissed off. "...now get it off." She gives her a stern look, holding her and Kaito's hand in front of her. Akari could look intimidating, but it was hard to take someone serious while they had some ridiculous tube at the end of their finger.

Zazie still had that subtle grin on her lips at this point, the thin curve of a smirk just barely visible on her blunt expression when she saw the reaction of the two. What was most amusing though was not the way they had reacted, but how they struggled with it already. But Zazie didn't see it as entertainment, she just did it because it felt right, and for two people who seemed so close, who else would she give it to?

"Only when souls unite does the curse break." She said with that same, dull tone of hers, remaining somewhat cryptic as she left them to decipher what she meant. She had ignored Kaito and Akari's words, taking a few casual steps backwards into the crowd before turning around and walking off. She was heading back into the mass of people that was gathered before the play, where a girl of her size would easily get lost from view in such a mass of people.

Kaito looked at Akari as she got angrier at Zazie's little trick, he turned away from her as he looked back and said something about uniting before she vanished into the crowd. He looked around the crowd to see that she was indeed gone and now he couldn't find her to get her to remove it. "Akari what do you think she meant by only when souls unite does the curse break?" he asked her as he tried to think about any kind of meaning. A few thoughts ran along his mind as one made him blush as he wouldn't mention the thought.

(( =.= *curses compounding financial and educational pressures* Overdraft? Blame the bastards who gave my card 'transaction pending' status for 3 straight days before taking my money from my checking account. *mumbles* And sword versus gun argument? *guffaws* I'd like to see someone's blade survive the kinetic energy transfered from a .45 ACP round.))

::Location, Location, Location::

Katerine raised her BR55 and fired. The airsoft gun wasn't all that great on its own. And she knew that. What she did have was the BBs she fired were of high quality .25g 6mm BBs. What was so special about it? It was made of the same quasi-solid flammable magic liquid she had in her regular rounds. As usual, upon impact, it'll flame up and turn into a napalm-like substance that burns a bright blue flame.

So yeah, the BR55 airsoft gun wasn't JUST for show. What she was firing at? The golems.

((Normally, a sword vs gun argument is not much of a brainer to consider. But remember guys, this is Negima; there's a lot of things such as that which are farfetched and impossible. It's a fantasy after all, so it doesn't need to be as technical.
Any more discussion about this, please provide it in this thread. That way we can have less OC on RP threads and resolve any discussions easily. Thank you. =D ))
