"*There was a chain of recent Pokemon robberies, mainly from people pickpocketing other Trainer's Pokeballs in crowded areas like this. We believed that Team Rocket was behind them, but they haven't been active in this region. But that's based off the fact that there was no sighting of them or their activity.*"

Why was Daybreak telling Armageddon this? He was no police Pokemon. There was no way he could help her.

Oh. Right. Talking to him might throw him off her trail. Well, it's not working so far.

She continued pouring out details for the Absol, for no rational reason that she could come up with.

"*If it is Team Rocket, then my officer will be in so much trouble is she is caught snooping around by them. Especially with a Skitty with minimal training. He only joined our team because his previous owner thought he wasn't strong enough, and useless in competitions.*"

"*Hm.*" Armageddon mused on the thought of Team Rocket stealing pokeball right under people's noses. "*Stange, wouldn't you think someone would notice a shdowy figure stealing a pokeball from someone's pocket or belt?*" He asked, not thinking as to why no one would notice them.

Then again, some humans were just insensitive jerks. Like the ones form old Inhinx. As a pup he had watched, growing angry at these humans.

He actually had a deep hate for humans, but some were the exception. However, that list was very few. Most were self-centered, uncaring, hateful jerks.

Armageddon partially listened to Daybreak, but partially kept to himself in his thoughts about how bad humans were.

"*Pheh, what a typical human, giving away a pokemon just because it doesn't meet his own standards. Pokemon can be pets just as well, they're not all battling or contest machines.*" He vented, obviously angry at the Skitty's old trainer.

"*They probably have Pokemon helping them too. A Psychic Pokemon clouding the victim's mind while the theiving takes place, a Ghost Pokemon turning invisible to sneak around...*"

Daybreak wondered why they were assigned this mission, when a team of a Psychic and Normal felines would be helpless against a Ghost Pokemon. If there was a Ghost Pokemon. What happened to the more veteran officers?

Lost in her thoughts, she gazed out at the streets, and her eyes opened wide as a dark shape was sneaking around, plucking off Pokeballs off Trainer's belts like picking fruit. It even paused at the less experienced people, wondering if their Pokemon was worth it.

"*STOP!*" She called out in full psychic fury, her gem gleaming as she went into action.

Her paws touched thin air though as she pounced and landed on the ground. The mysterious figure was gone. Was it a hallucination caused by a Pokemon or just an intangible one?

"*No offense or anything, but your a phsycic type, and Skitty is a normal type. How could you hurt them? But then again, yuor psycic did hit me...*" Armageddon trailed off, wondering is she was even listening.

Armageddon's eyes gleamed as he saw the drak figure stealing the poke'balls, but Daybreak acted before he could. Then, the thing was gone. What in the world? How could something be there one second, then gone the next?

"*You okay?*" Armageddon asked, padding up to Daybreak. Heck, he knew he was head over heels for this Espeon, and as such, he should be concerened for her safety. "* I think I figured out how they're escaping though. Tell me, what's the only move you know that allows someone to be somwhere one second, and gone the next?*"

"*There are plently of moves that allow one to escape, Armageddon. Dig, Fly, Shadow Force though it is unlikely... Teleport...*"

Teleport was the more seemly scenario to her, and Daybreak concluded that they were dealing with a Psychic Pokemon from that. At least there was no Ghost Pokemon to deal with, unless it was its accomplice.

She thought up of a plan, and she really hated doing this to the Absol, no matter how much she hate him. He wasn't trained to do this kind of stuff anyway.

"*Armageddon, you can resist Psychic moves, along with Ghost and Dark if this thief has partners. I want you to fight off whatever attacks you, and I'll track down their trainer.*"

These Pokemon had to have a trainer after all. Wild Pokemon don't go around stealing trained ones. There wasn't any reason why should they.

Hopefully, he could fend himself for a while, since finding the person behind this won't be done instantly.

"*And no using extreme force.*" Daybreak told him before proceeding to tune into the air waves around her.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 3:01 pm

"*Exactly. Teleport. Because I'm pretty sure Giratina-sama is still in Sinnoh, Dig would have left a massive hole, and we would see them fly away. So, it has to be teleport." Armageddon said, staying alert.

"*So, we're most likely daeling with a Psycic...*" He trailed off, thinking of something. If it was a psycic, then Armageddon would be perfect for the job.

"*Wow, seems ou know me. Alawys ready to fight off anything.*" Armageddon smirked, but then his face twisted into a confused look. "*But, if your Psycic attacks hit me, then why would the hits from these guys not hurt me?*" He asked, slightly groaning. This was making his head hurt.

"*Why-never mind. No extreme measures unless authorized by you. Undestood.*" Armageddon solemnly said, looking around for anything suspicious. There was one advantage to having red eyes, you could see through the dark as though it was light. But, in light he was pretty much blind. No wonder Zen chose a place with alot of shade.

"*Because I'm actually stronger than you.*" Daybreak said with a sarcastic tone, and surprisingly, a smirk.

She didn't say anything else, not wanting to break her concentration further. She was getting deeper into the thick auras around her, searching for anything that would indicate a teleportation.

Ah ha! The mystery Pokemon had the guts to teleport into the crowd again, wasting no time to stash away the Pokeballs. It was a familiar figure, a humanlike shape wielding a spoon, but she didn't need to know what kind of Pokemon it was. Daybreak just needed to trace the psychic trail it left behind, which would hopefully lead to its trainer.

"*Thief at 9:00!*" She shouted to Armageddon. Instantly, she bursted out from her very still stance and away to where the trail leads. Hopefully, he knew what she was talking about, and if he didn't, he'll find the robber out eventually.

Daybreak just focused on closing in on the mastermind behind these robberies.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 3:44 pm

"*Well that's not very ni-HAI!*" Armageddon broke off his sentence, dashing into the crowd, seeing the Kadabra(I think it's kadabra right?) and rushing for it. He spent no time gathering enough energy into his blade, and launched himelf at the Psychic.

Damn, he missed, the blasted thing got away, but not very far. Was it...luaghing at him? Yep, it was luaghing at him. "*Damn punk.*" Armageddon thought, turning at the Kadabra. Once again, it was gone with a 'pop' and appeared somwhere else, stealing another poke'ball.

Armageddon growled, waiting for the thing to get back into striking distance, muscles tensed, and gem gleaming. There! It popped back up, right infront of a trainer. As it busied itself with stealing the balls from the belt the trainer was wearing, Armageddon snuck up behind him.

Quickly, the Kadabra turned around, attacking with a Psychic blast. Armageddon shrugged it off, and withdrew his claws, focusing his dark energy into them. Once again, the Kadabra dissapeared, but bieng the cocky thing it was, appeared to steal another trainer's pokeballs.

Armageddon lunged forward, swiping at the Kadabra's face, leaving a gash. "*That's what ya get punk!*" He roared, charging up a Dark Pulse, letting it charge to its fullest extent. Right before firing it though, the Kadabra fled again, not reappearing.

Armageddon couldn't stop his attack from being launched at the ground, causing a small crater to appear in the streets, and harming the Absol. He struggled to get up, but fell back down. Damnit.

Daybreak's pursuit came to a screeching halt as she heard an explosion in the middle of the crowd. She saw people panicking and running away, and assumed that it was Armageddon's doing.

Dammit! Didn't she tell him not to use extreme force? The trainer probably knows now that someone was after him/her! And preparing to flee right away!

She closed her eyes and did a quick scan, and was shocked to find that the trainer was still around. Maybe they were too far away to hear the explosion, but his/her Pokemon will surely tell them the news.

Maybe if she continued on her path at top speed, she'll be able to catch them both. Daybreak could be a hero and reunited with Piney before bedtime.

She started to resume her course, but remembered the 'partner' that helped her with this case. Armageddon. He most likely got injured by that explosion. She couldn't leave him all by himself could she?

But if she returned to the Absol, she was forfeiting the chance to apprehend the cause of this mess. He surely wasn't worth that was he?

Robber or Armageddon. Armageddon or robber. She paced restlessly, trying to make up her mind.

Screw this. Some other officer will catch the robber. No one else can heal Armageddon.

Daybreak turned around and raced towards the site of the explosion as fast as she could. Sure enough, she saw the black body of the Absol, lying down with some burns.

"*Armageddon! Are you alright? You better be!*"

"*So, you actually do care if I'm hurt? Keh, never would have known.*" Armageddon said, giving a weak smirk before crumpling on the floor again. Gah, that hurt like hell. Not fun, pain was definitley not fun.

So, she let the guy get away, just for him? Weren't police poke'mon supposed to go after the suspect no matter what?

No matter, at least she had come in time. If not, he might have died at the bottom of this accursed pit.

"*I nearly had 'im. Had him pinned down, already got 'im with a Night Slash. Just wanted to teach him the lesson of a lifetime I guess. I'm such an idiot." Armageddon managed to whiper out, before passing out cold.

"*Yes you are an idiot. You hurt yourself and compelled me to go help you, thus letting the bugler get away.*" Daybreak hissed out the words, but they had a soft edge to them. "*But an injured comrade is more important than catching a criminal. No matter what the situation.*"

Besides, it would've been on her conscious if she had left him. Now looking at his wounds more closer, she saw that the wounds could be fatal if left untreated. Daybreak glanced around for a Pokemon center, and was crushed to find that there was none in sight.

What she was suppose to do now?! She was no healer! She was trained to fight! Daybreak had only one idea in her frantic mind, and it might work. After all, she had never tried this.

"*Don't move an inch.*" She commanded, holding down Armageddon. Her gem turned into a red-violet color as intense sunlight shone across the crater. Any bystanders were shocked that it was sunny in the late evening.

Then, she bristled her fur in a certain way that it caught the sun's rays. Morning Sun. Though Daybreak was perfectly fine in terms of health, she tried to force the healing power from the sun into Armageddon.

"*Please let this work...*"
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 5:00 pm

"*Ngh.*" Armageddon replied, taking her harsh words. Not that he could even talk back to her. He didn't even have the energy to complete a sentence anymore. His eyebrows went up a little as she said the part about an injured comrade. So, she did consider him a partner. Hopefully even a friend.

Armageddon just smiled as she commanded him not to move an inch. So demanding, but then again, it was just one of her charms. He was amanzed at the bright light coming from her Gem, and then it hit.

Oh god in heaven. The pain! Gah, morning sun meant a painful recovery for his species. Not to mention that his fur in particular sucked in light. Stupid reversed colors.

Armageddon whimpered in pain, still not moving an inch. He needed this to work, but it hurt so bad!

"*Don't worry, it is. Just hurts like hell.*" Aramgeddon said in a quiet voice, trying not to move in any way. But gods it hurt. Hell, Giratina-Sama would probably be feeling pain as well from this.

Gah! This pain was unbearable. But what hurt wors was his pride. HE had let the thief get away, and now he was showing seakness infront of Daybreak. Oh Giratina-sama, he was such an idiot for even attempting that attack.

"*I'm...sorry.*"

A bit through the recovery, Daybreak saw that Armageddon was in severe pain from the Sunny day and Morning Sun combo. Well duh. She had totally forgotten that he was a Dark type, and moves based on sunlight hurt him.

He's going to have to endure it a bit longer. She didn't dare heal him to full health, because that might've given him more pain than previously. Instead, she tried to patch him up enough so he can at least walk and speak rather short sentences.

"*Good enough. You are allowed to move. The Pokemon Center can restore you to full health when we get there.*"

She tried to ignore the words that Armageddon had spoken during the healing. They provoked feelings that couldn't surface now, when there was work to be done.

Still, her voice became less harsh the more she was around the Absol.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 5:26 pm

"*Heh, thanks.*" Armageddon managed, standing up a bit shakily. He was sweating a bit from the pain that had been his saving grace as well. He tried walking a bit, but just ended up on his knees.

"*Crap.*" Armageddon hissed,, trying to get back on his feet. No use. He grunted, searching inside his own mind for a move he had learned and forgotten as a young pup. Moonlight. But the polution was probably to thick to absorb the moon's rays anyway.

"*Ugh...could you...help me to the center?*" Armageddon asked, wincing at his own words. Idiot, she was about a foot shorter than him, and at least fifty pounds lighter than him.

"* Never mind, stupid request.*" He muttered out, taking a shaky step forward.

Armageddon couldn't shake those strange butterfrees in his stomach anymore, he had to do something. Gah, damn emotions!

He still couldn't walk himself to the Pokemon Center? If Daybreak tried to heal him more, he'd probably faint from the pain. And there was no way she will carry his body all the way there.

Sighing, she wrapped her tail his neck and relieved some of the pressure from his legs. It was an improv move that she had to make up, and hopefully it'll be enough.

Daybreak groaned from taking a share of his weight as she dragged-walked Armageddon towards the glowing building. At it didn't help as her heart was fluttering faster at him being so close to her.

She didn't need this now! Why is it happening?
